The primary purpose of this study was to employ an ecological model to analyze relative magnitudes of significant predictors affecting school life satisfaction in Korea Science Academy. The instruments used for this study were school life satisfaction Scale, Self-Efficacy Scale, Relationship Skill Scale, Internal Control Scale, Emotional Intelligence Scale, and FACE Ⅳ Scale. Data were collected by purposive sampling of 180 students of the Korea Science Academy in Busan, Korea. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentile, mean, standard deviation, Cronbach` α, Pearson`s productive correlation, hierarchical regression and stepwise regression, using SPSS 15.0+ WIN program package. The results were as follows: 1. The level of school life satisfaction in Korea Science Academy was found to be high(Mean=4.24, SD=0.57). 2. Model Ⅳwas the most powerful. It explained 49.7% of the school life satisfaction. 3. Relationship with friends(β=.443), with teachers(β=.273), and self-efficacy(β=.201) were significant factors in explaining the school life satisfaction. The three variables explained 49.9% of school life satisfaction.

본 연구에서는 인문계고 남학생의 학교생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 변인을 규명하고자 서울 소재 인문계고 남학생 282명을 대상으로 설문연구를 실시하였다. 조사된 독립변인은 총 21개로 유기체 변인 8개(자기유능감, 대인관계기술, 내적통제감, 정서인식, 정서표현, 감정이입, 정서조절, 정서활용), 미시체계 변인 9개(학교변인-교사 관계, 수업과 학습, 교실분위기, 학교복지시설, 학교주변환경, 친구변인-교우관계, 가족변인-가족기능성, 부학력, 가족경제적수준), 중간체계 변인 2개(부모-교사관계, 부모-자녀의 친구관계), 외체계 변인(한국교육제도에 대한 만족도), 거시체계 변인(학벌지상주의의 지지정도)이다. 분석결과, 교사와 관계, 한국교육제도에 대한 만족도, 교우관계, 부모-교사 관계, 학벌지 상주의의 지지정도, 학교복지시설, 자기유능감 순위로 7개 변인이 유의하였다(R²=51.2%). 미시체계의 영향력이 39.4%로 가장 컸다. This study sought to investigate, from an ecological perspective, significant predictors affecting the schoollife satisfaction levels of 282 boys from a general highschool in Seoul, Korea. Analyses of data, using SPSS 15.0 WIN., indicated that the level of schoollife satisfaction of a general highschool boys was moderate and that the Model Ⅴ was the most powerful((R²=52.6%). Our results further indicated that the significant variables were the relationship with teachers, satisfaction with the Korean educational system, relationships with friends, parent teacher relationships, agreement with the Korean belief in educational achievement, accommodation facilities available at the school, self efficacy, and the academic atmosphere of the classroom, in that order. Furthermore, the effect of the microsystem were found to be the strongest((R²=41.5%).
