        This study investigated to improve for nutritional service and nutrition education for prevention of chronic degenerative diseases. We compared difference in dietary habits, life-style behavior, nutrient intakes and health status of male industrial workers by work condition. Anthropometric parameters of height, weight, waist, hip and triceps skinfold thickness were measured for 101 subjects(50 office workers, 51 laborers). To assess the nutrient intake and diet quality of workers were measured by one day 24-hour recall method. The average age of the subjects was that office workers is 33.9 years, laborers is 34.4 years. Education levels were higher in office workers than in laborers. Result of anthropometric parameters of height(P<0.01), weight(P<0.05), hip(P<0.05), TSF(P<0.01) were significantly higher in office workers than in laborers. Smoking and alcohol drinking of subjects were not significant difference between office workers and laborers. Average daily nutrient intake of both group was higher than the Korean RDA. For calcium (P<0.01), iron (P<0.05), vitamin A(P<0.001), vitamin B1(P<0.01), niacin (P<0.05) was significantly higher in laborers than office workers. Nutrition adequacy ratio(NAR), mean adequacy ratio(MAR) and index of nutritional quality(INQ) of laborers were better than those of office workers. This results indicated that the onset possibility of chronic degenerative disease appeared difference by work condition.

      • 자동차용 강판의 열처리 특성에 관한 연구

        Development on the mechanical properties of steel for the automobile body panel is very important in the BAF(Batch annealing furnace) annealing process. Because of the heat treatment in method the BAF, mechanical properties was decides on the heat treatment method of the coil. So, we tested on the development of mechanical properties according to heat treatment method at the annealing furnace using the Ax atmospheric gas and the HNx atmospheric gas. As a result of several investigations. We confirmed the following characteristics ; mechanical properties was changed under the influence of the annealing cycle and the atmospheric gas. The coil spot of coil was the mid point of the B coil in the Ax atmospheric gas. And, atmospheric gas is very important in the high convection annealing furnaces.

      • 서해안 일부지역에 서식하는 패류(貝類)의 중금속 함량에 관한 연구

        This study was performed to investigate the contamination level of harmful heavy metals in 11 species shellfish collected at the four sampling sites of the western coast in Korea from June to November in 1996. The levels of total lead, cadmium, mercury, copper and zinc were determined and the results were summarized as follows (ppm) : The minimum and maximum values of shellfish, mean value bracketed, were ; Pb : 0.07-7.42(3.09), Cd : 0.015-0.573(0.08), Hg : 0.44-1.93(0.69), Cu : 2.88-112.68(19.46), Zn : 50.79-578.90(124.84). The results show that mean contents of Pb, Cd, and Hg in 11 species shellfish were not yet dangerous levels enough to pose a health problem. But the contents of Pb, Hg, Cu and Zn has a increasing tendency.

      • 뽕잎분말 섭취가 혈청지질에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of mulberry leaves on lipid metabolism in adult females. The subjects(n=13) intake 1.8g mulberry leaves powdered per day with the common diet. To conduct this study, anthropometric measurements, daily nutrients intake, and serum lipids(total-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-cholesterol) were measured 3 times(before, after 2week and 4week during the experimental periods). The results are as follows: Serum LDL-cholesterol contents were significantly(P<0.05) decreased with treatment of mulberry leaves powder. And serum total-cholesterol and triglycerides were decreased, but did not show significant differences.

      • 여대생의 체형 인식도에 따른 영양소 섭취 상태 및 영양지식 평가에 관한 연구

        The present study was performed to analyze the nutrition status related to body weight control and nutritional knowledge. Two groups, lectured and unlectured group for nutritional class in college women, were considered for this investigation. Their average height and weight were 160.5cm, and 51.5kg respectively. The evaluation of this study was carried out by statistical analyses that obtained from the basis of five different models. The result indicated that health status was pretty fair, however, the most of subjects had symptoms such as weariness, stress, and disorder of stomach. In selection of actual body size and ideal body size among the five models for female, which drawn ranges from 20% underweight to 20% overweight, 82.7% of the subjects think their weights are higher than their standard weight. Also 99.3% of the subjects selected the underweight as the their ideal body size. It was appeared that 66% of the subjects had a desire to lose weight, while 14.5% of them wanted to gain weight. Those who think are thinner than standard weight, were more satisfied with their body sizes than those who think they are fatter. Most subjects started to concern their body size through conversations with their friends after entered college. Most nutrients were taken properly, but certain nutrients were insufficient as compared to the RDA. The average intaken calorie(84.7%), iron(87.2%)and ascorbic acid (97.1%) were lower than those of the R.D.A.. The ratio of calorie percentages for corbohyerates vs. protein vs. liquid (from total calories) was 61:24:15. This ratio was properly approached to the recommended calories compositions(based on recommended allowance 5th Ed.). Intaken calories are changed significantly by the degree of perception body size(P<0.05). Knowledge of nutrition was significantly higher for the educated group than uneducated group(P<0.001).

      • 자동차용 갈바륨 강판의 부식발생기구에 관한 연구

        Since the early 1980's the use of zinc-aluminum alloy-coated steel (Galvalume) for vehicular corrosion protection has increased drastically. Late 1990's model cars and electronic products built in our country will, for the most part, be entirely made of galvalume. including the roof in many cases. Car and electronic products makers, however, are not consistent in their choice of specific galvalume types or coating weights. An extensive corrosion study was initiated by a galvalume steel sheet manufacturing company to clarify the corrosion behavior ol zinc and zinc-alloy coated automotive sheet-steel in out-panel and electrical applications. Since the early 1980's the use of zinc-aluminum alloy-coated steel for vehicular corrosion protection has increased drastically. This paper tested the performance of the corrosion mechanism of a galvalume steel sheet in dropping water.

      • 작업롤의 파손과 크롬함량에 따른 마멸특성

        Work rolls used in cold rolling mills must have outstanding wear resistance and very little plastic deformation. Thus, these rolls require a higher surface hardness and hardening to a greater depth. To meet these requrements, the rolls, in general, have basic chemical composition of 0.7 to 1.0% carbon and 1.0 to 5.0% chromium(Cr), plus a small amounts of special elements, and are subjected to intensive water quenching and tempering at low temperature to provide a surface hardness of over 90 shore. This test results are as follows. Deflection and fracture load of 5% Cr material are than those of 3% Cr material and show flat curve from surface to subsurface. It will be clear that 5% Cr work roll has a superior resistibility against wear and abrasion comparing with 3% Cr work roll. The improvement of wear and abration in 5% Cr work roll will be achieved by the large amount of spheroidal carbide. In grindability and polish, 5% Cr work roll will be a little inferior comparing with 3% Cr work roll.

      • 흡연 남자대학생의 영양교육 효과 측정

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness on nutritional education in college male smoker. To obtain above purpose we investigated the behavior of dietary, anthropometric parameter, dietary intake and evaluation in nutritional knowledge and change of attitudinal beliefs between pre and post nutritional education. Subjects were 30 college male smokers(mean age 26.lyr). Nutritional education program was conducted with a 8 week(8 times) program focused on the teaching of the food and nutrition. This nutritional program had an impact on nutrition intakes, improvement in nutrition knowledge and some beliefs related to smoking in subjects. Various programs of nutritional education must be implemented for male smokers, and further studies are needed regarding sorts and long term period.
