Tool design is introduced in a multi-stage rectangular cup drawing process with the large aspect ratio. Finite element simulation is carried out to investigate deformation mechanisms with the initial tool design. The analysis reveals that the difference of the drawing ratio and the irregular contact condition produces non-uniform metal flow to cause wrinkling and severe extension. For remedy, the modification guideline is proposed in the design of the tool and process. Analysis results confirm that the modified tool design not only improves the quality of a deep-drawn product but also reduces the possibility of failure.

Generator in wind farm can be either synchronous or asynchronous (induction) types. Induction and synchronous generators behave in a different way when subjected to severe faults. From the point of view of the electromagnetic pair, induction generators does not have an angle stability limit. Short circuit near an induction generator causes the demagnetization of the machine. When the fault is cleared, the voltage raises slowly, while the grid contributes with reactive power to the generator and the magnetic flux recovers. On the other hand in the synchronous generators the recovery of the voltage is immediate, since the excitation of the rotor angle comes from an independent circuit. This paper shows the result of the transient state analysis in the network connected to wind farm. Several case studies have been conducted to determine the effect of the clearing time of a fault on the network on the stability of embedded generators including synchronous and induction types.

The number of wind generation installations are growing substantially in Jeju, Korea. Many of these installations are significant in size and directly connected to the distribution system. In these distributed applications, it is not uncommon for the turbines to be connected near the end of a long rural distribution feeder from which end-users are served. Therefore, utility grid interconnection standards for interconnecting non-utility distributed generation systems are essential to both power system company and generation company. These interconnection standards are important to utilities, customers, wind generation manufactures and nation. In this paper, it is investigated suitability of Hangwon wind power generation farm by network interconnection technology standard.

Generation of electricity using wind power has received considerable attention worldwide in recent years. In addition, the concern about the stability of wind power increases more and more, because most of the wind generators are induction generators that have shorter critical clearing times than those of synchronous generators. This paper investigates factors influencing the transient stability of the system connected to wind generation system.
