스포츠심리학 : 레크리에이션 스포츠에서 승패가 기분상태와 뇌파변화에 미치는 영향

        김성운(SungWoonKim) 한국체육학회 2005 한국체육학회지 Vol.44 No.5

The purpose of this study was to investigate how a competitive sport (Badminton) at the recreational level influences mood state and brainwave activity. Subjects consisted of 16 male university students ranging in age from 20 to 27, with a mean age of 25 years. Subjects were randomly assigned to one of eight teams and each team consisted of two subjects. The data were analyzed by using two-way ANOVAs with repeated measures of group (win and loss) time (before and after game). Dependent variables were tension, depression, anger, vigor, fatigue, confusion, and R-L asymmetry alpha values. The research findings revealed that depression, anger, and fatigue were significantly decreased in winning groups post-match compared to pre-match levels, while losing groups demonstrated a high increase of these factors post-match. With regard to vigor, winning groups showed a higher increase of vigor post-match than pre-match, while losing groups demonstrated a reduction of vigor post-match. However, there was not a significant difference between winning and losing groups post-match in terms of tension and confusion. It is known that frontal EEG alpha asymmetry, with the left hemisphere being more active,is indicative of positive emotion. Conversely, the right hemisphere being more active is indicative of negative emotion. Here winning groups showed heightened left frontal activation post-match, whereas losing groups showed heightened right frontal activation post-match. Therefore, this study established that winning and losing, which are the results of competitive Badminton, influences changesin emotion with winning causing positive emotion changes and losing resulting in negative emotion changes. This is demonstrated by the heightened brain activation in the left frontal region of the brain in winning groups post-match. Furthermore, this result suggests the importance of exercise and shows that the competitive nature of Badminton may produce undesirable mood reductions.

        김성운(SungWoonKim),김진구(JinGuKim),이건영(GunYoungLee) 한국체육학회 2011 한국체육학회지 Vol.50 No.4

This study investigated the psychophysiological responses according to high self-efficacy and low self-efficacy using P300. One-hundred fifty university students (male, ages 19-29 years, M=24.3, SD=3.42) completed the Physical Self-Efficacy Scale. Twenty-four participants were then assigned to one of two experimental conditions: High Self-efficacy group (n=10) and Low Self-efficacy group (n=10). The P300 data obtained from the two experimental groups were compared. Two-hundred stimuli (40 target stimuli, 160 standard stimuli) were randomly presented via a projection monitor and the participants told to press a button to indicate the appearance of a target stimulus. The electroencephalographic data collected from Fz, Cz, Pz, and O1 were used to assess the latency and amplitude of P300. The results of this study indicated that the High Self-efficacy group produced a shorter P300 latency than the Low Self-efficacy group.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of acute overtraining on psychological changes of female university soccer players by using POMS with before-after-follow up steps respectively. Twenty-two female university soccer players were participated in this study. Their ages ranged from 20 to 22, with a mean age of 21.2 years, and mean experience of 6 years and 8 months. Subjects were divide into two group. Data was analyzed using two-way ANOVAs with repeated measures of group (overtraining and normal) and time (before, after training, 2 hours after training, 2 days after training, 10 days after training). Dependent variables were tension, depression, anger, vigor, fatigue, confusion and TMD (total mood disturbance). The results of this study indicated that the overtraining group had a significantly higher score than normal group in tension, depression, anger, fatigue, confusion and TMD. The result was that the overtraining group demonstrated significantly higher score in tension, depression, anger, fatigue, confusion and TMD but lower score in vigor, relative to normal training group. The results of this study indicated that overtraining induces negative affective state right after training and even this affective state have been maintained even few days after training. This implies that negative affect induced by overtraining would be a potential factor that negatively influence on soccer performance.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how exercise intensity influences emotion and brainwave activity in female university students who report symptoms of depression. Subjects consisted of 10 female university students ranging in age from 20 to 22, with a mean age of 21 years. Subjects were selected by BDI score(over 16 score). EEG asymmetry and POMS were assessed before and after theree exercise conditions: 3 intensities (40%, 60% and 80% of VO2max for 30 minutes). The data were analyzed by using repeated measured. Dependent variables were tension, depression, anger, vigor, fatigue, confusion, TMD and R-L asymmetry alpha values. The research findings revealed that depression was significantly altered by the two exercise conditions(40%, and 60% of VO2max) compared to the pre-exercise. Anger were significantly altered by exercise conditions(40% of VO2max) compared to pre-exercise. TMD was significantly altered by the two exercise conditions(40%, and 60% of VO2max) compared to pre-exercise. With regard to R-L asymmetry alpha values, post-exercise showed an increase of R-L asymmetry alpha values 60% of VO2max compared to the pre-exercise. Therefore, this study established that two exercise conditions(40%, and 60% of VO2max) significantly altered emotion. Specially, 60% of VO2max exercise conditions demonstrated the possibility of lessening symptoms of depression. Furthermore, these results suggest that EEG asymmetry scores is a possible measuring instrument for symptoms of depression.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how affection on professional sports team influences the team brand recognition and the brain activation of fans. The subjects of this experiment consisted of 12 male fans of the Hanwha (H) Team in the Korean Baseball League. All the subjects were right-handed and their average age was 22.4 year. To examine the cerebral activation during the observation of the manufactured goods with the team mascot and logo, twelve home team fans of the Hanwha Eagles professional baseball team were instructed to observe with their attention six different images presented to them. The results of this study showed that, activation of medial frontal gyrus activated in self-referencing, superior frontal gyrus activated when choosing familiar brand products, parahippocampal gyrus activated when there is contextual association among objects, and superior temporal gyrus activated while experiencing pleasant stimuli. This suggests that sport fans with high affection perceive their favorite team`s brand image to be closely relevant to themselves and that the brand image of the favorite team is recognized as a strong positive stimulus to the fans with high loyalty and induce positive emotions such as good feeling and intimacy.
