In this study, a variable elasticity spring was applied to improve the pressure control precision of conventional relief valves. The equilibrium equation of the forces acting on the valve poppet was derived; it is demonstrated that matching the elastic rate of the pressure-adjusting coil spring to the equivalent elastic rate of the flow force improved the pressure override. The procedures that were used to design the variable elasticity spring are presented, and some applications of the variable elasticity spring are also introduced. Computer simulations were used to analyze three cases: a poppet-closed flow force structure, a poppet-open flow force structure with a constant elasticity spring, and a structure containing a variable elasticity spring. It is confirmed that the pressure control precision of the relief valve can be significantly improved upon by applying a variable elasticity spring to the poppet-open flow force structure.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is the recent industrial revolution that humanity is experiencing now. The new way of life, represented by computers, the Internet and robots, brings human the past hopes and problems, that is. the economic prosperity and alienation, and new hopes and problems, that is, the utopia of automation and the dystopia of unemployment. In modern society, human labor is depreciated by technology development and economic strategy, and unemployment is maximized by the use of automation, especially robot with computer. Current welfare policies implemented by welfare states in response to unemployment are not truly human, so new welfare policies are needed, and the general basic income can be a candidate. Real estate tax and automation tax can be considered as financial resources of this system. When basic income is guaranteed, our lives can become a life where work and leisure coincide like before the urban revolution. In order to experience the Fourth Industrial Revolution as an opportunity rather than a crisis, it seems to be necessary for us to live not with the individualist philosophy but with the communitarian philosophy. In the term of Teilhard, automation can be a blessing, not a curse, when we can live with joint-progressivism, not with joint-egoism. 4차 산업혁명은 인류가 최근 경험하고 있는 산업혁명이다. 컴퓨터와 인터넷 그리고 로봇으로 대변되는 새로운 삶의 방식은 인간에게 과거의 희망과 문제 즉 경제적 풍요와 소외와 더불어 새로운 희망과 문제 즉 자동화의 유토피아와 실업의 디스토피아를 함께 안겨주고 있다. 현대 사회에서 인간의 노동은 기술의 발전과 경제적 전략에 의해서 그 가치가 하락되고 있으며, 자동화, 특히 컴퓨터가 내장된 로봇의 사용으로, 실업이 극대화되고 있다. 복지국가가 실업에 대응하여 수행하는 현재의 복지정책은 참되게 인간적이지 못하기 때문에 새로운 복지정책이 필요한데, 기본소득이 그 후보가 될 수 있다. 이러한 제도의 재원으로 부동산세와 자동화세를 생각해 볼 수 있다. 기본소득이 보장될 때, 우리의 삶은 도시혁명 이전처럼 작업과 여가가 일치하는 삶이 될 수도 있다. 이렇게 4차 산업혁명을 위기가 아니라 기회로 경험하기 위해서는 개인주의 철학으로는 어려울 것으로 보이며 공동체주의 철학이 필요하리라 판단된다. 떼이야르의 용어를 빌자면 접합 이기주의가 아니라 접합 진보주의를 견지할 수 있을 때, 자동화가 저주가 아니라 축복이 될 수 있다.
Ga<SUP>+<SUP> 이온 조사를 통한 Co₇₃Pt₂₇-TiO₂ 수직자기 기록매체의 자기적 특성 변화

The effects of Ga<SUP>+<SUP> ion irradiation on the magnetic properties of the Co?₃Pt₂?-TiO₂ perpendicular magnetic recording media were investigated. As Ga<SUP>+<SUP> ion dose increased from 1×10¹? ions/㎠ to 30×10¹? ions/㎠, the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy was degraded and no longer observed above 20×10¹? ions/㎠ dose. The deterioration of the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy and ferromagnetic properties can be attributed to the concentration profile change due to Ga<SUP>+<SUP> ion implantation. The magnetic islands of 70×70 n㎡ and 100×100 n㎡ size were successfully fabricated with Ga<SUP>+<SUP> ion irradiation.
Co/Pd 다층막구조가 수직자기터널접합의 자기저항에 미치는 영향

We investigated the magnetoresistance of perpendicularly magnetized magnetic tunnel junction composed of Co/Pd multilayers. The magnetoresistance was maximized with Co electrodes of about 5 ㎚ thickness, which evidenced the important role of the interface in tunneling process. Both the change in perpendicular magnetic anisotropy and improvement of junction resistance were observed with changing Co sublayers, while the spin scattering became dominant with increasing Pd sublayers.
