메탄올은 배기가스 중의 질소산화물과 미립자 배출을 저감할 수 있는 잠재력을 가진 대체연료로서 주목 되고 있다. 기관의 연료로서 메탄올을 이용하는 방법은 여러 가지가 있지만, 그 중에서 경유-메탄올 혼합연료를 사용하는 방법은 기관의 구조를 변경하지 않고 사용할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 그러나 메탄올은 경유에 대한 용해성 이 낮아서 두 연료간의 상분리가 문제가 된다. 본 연구에서는 2개의 교반기와 1개의 연료가압펌프로 구성된 연료 공급장치를 실험기관의 연료유 라인에 설치하여 경유-메탄올 혼합유를 기관에 공급함으로써 두 연료간의 상분리를 막고 지속적으로 연료를 공급할 수 있었다. 그리고 여러 가지 부하와 혼합비율에 따른 기관성능, 연소특성 및 배기배출의 특성들이 조사되었으며, 기관을 안정적으로 운전할 수 있는 혼합비의 한계를 조사하였다. 실험결과, 10~20wt.% 메탄올 혼합유 사용은 경유와 비교하여 기관성능과 연소특성에 큰 차이를 보이지 않고 질소산화물과 미연탄화수소의 배출을 저감할 수 있었다.

Recently global climate change yields trend on increasing average temperature and diurnal range. It results in frequent malfunctions due to the increase of internal temperature of the steel enclosures including ATP LEUs. Accordingly the application of insulation of the enclosures is required in the Railway construction and undertaking. In this paper, it introduced to UTHI(ultra-thin heat insulation paint), which was applied on the lineside electronic equipment(LEU), to verify the effect of improvement of reliability. In the future, we expect the economic and practical insulation shall be applied to improve the efficiency of the operating field.

In this study, an hazard analysis for hazardous events and theirs contribution factors were performed on the 64 accidents investigation reports published by ARAIB(Accident Investigation Board) in 2006-2014. For the most cases, railway accident was caused by a combination of a technical hazard, human hazard and management hazard. Especially in Urban transit, hazard analysis for the 19 accidents(collision 2, derailment 11, fire/explosion 3, worker’s injury 1 and powering incident 1) was carried out and human factor reviewed from the 42 train incidents(station non-stop, stationary position failure and SPAD etc..) will be presented.

The country is in the economic development of many public transportation that allows easy movement of people and can not arrive to your destination faster means of the use of high citizen satisfaction. However, due to the frequent rail accidents there is widespread concern about the safety rail is made at the national level to ensure a review of the overall railway system safety. The country is trying to compensate through legal amendments as part of the measures. From the enactment of the Railway Safety Act to amend part of the difference between the current and comparative analysis of the deficiencies and negative effects after the investigation on domestic situation and seek appropriate safety certification process suggests improvements for the safety certification process.
실시간 철도 안전 통합 감시제어 시스템 프레임워크에 대한 연구

The South Korea government has made enormous efforts in restructuring the basic safety management plan for the railway system including the Integrated Railway Safety R&D Project. However, there are some serious issues raised about the fire, derailment and collision events that could lead to the fatal railway accidents with the existing reactive railway safety management in railway operations. Therefore, there is a need for the railway safety management system to evolve from reactive to proactive manner, such as proactive railway safety and response system. Following these backgrounds, this study proposes a system framework on the development of real-time railway safety monitoring and control system. The proposed framework consists of (1) railway service platform working as an information sharing backbone, (2) railway safety management service for safety related decision making, (3) common railway service, (4) railway traffic management service, and (5) railway maintenance service modules for preventive maintenance. Each module consists of sub-modules monitoring real-time status for the rolling stocks, stations and facilities in order to provide a guidance of safety decision-making in accident cases. The proposed framework will bring some valuable ideas for further studies.

The present railway safety system gathers a large amount of information from installed sensors and measuring instruments, and uses the collected information for instant warning and maintenance. However, the collected information cannot be used for prediction of potential accidents, and integrated information system for real-time safe-driving supporting technology does not exist yet. Thus, we have been focused on the development of IoT-based safety information system for analysis and prediction of potential accidents by integrating primary information in the safety-related zone and for preventing various railway incidents. We have researched on real-time safety control platform, safety scanning information interface device, risk and big data based accidents prediction system and improvement of existing safety scanning devices, together with many participating institutes. In this paper, we introduce Real-time Railway Safety Monitoring and Control system and its internal design to achieve our goals for railway safety. In the near future, we install our system at Wonju-Gangneung line which is one of the actual running routes, as a testbed to verify performance and reliability of the system.
