유아의 기본움직임기술과 놀이성의 관계에서 유아의 자기조절력의 매개 및 조절효과에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among fundamental movement skills, playfulness, and self-regulation in preschool children. Furthermore, this study was conducted to investigate the mediating and moderating effects of self-regulation in the relationship between fundamental movement skills and playfulness in preschoolers. The study subjects were 202 preschool children (aged 5 years old) who attended early childhood education and care settings in Seoul. The main results of this study were as follows: first, children with higher levels of locomotion skills and object-control skills were found to show higher levels of playfulness and self-regulation. Second, self-regulation were found to be partially mediated in the effects of playfulness on the locomotion skills and object-control skills. In addition, the effects of preschooler’s fundamental movement skills on their levels of playfulness were moderated by one of the sub-scales of self-regulation, which was concentration. In line with those findings, implications for research and practice were discussed.
