The aim of this paper is to compare the characteristics of the T-P removal from synthesized municipal wastewater by electro-coagulation using cylindrical Al and Fe electrode as anode. For this purpose, a concentric circle type electrolysis reactor was used and the operating conditions for T-P removal from synthesized wastewater are as follows; potential 10 V, electrolyte 0.03% NaCl, initial T-P concentration 1.0 ~ 6.0 mg/L and flow rate 1.0 ~ 5.0 L/min. From the experimental results, T-P concentration of treated wastewater was decreased to less than 0.2 mg/L enough to discharge standard and Al electrode showed performance than Fe electrode for T-P removal by electro-coagulation. Optimal conditions for T-P removal to less than 0.15 mg/L which is 75% of discharge standard for large scale municipal wastewater plant (capacity higher than 500 m3/day) were obtained as follows; flow rate 2.503 L/min, and 2.337 L/min, HRT 1.059 min, 1.134 min, for Al and Fe electrode, respectively. Consumed mass of Al and Fe were of 3.76 times and 8.90 times respectively, were obtained to removed T-P at optimal conditions with potential 10 V, and 0.03% NaCl as electrolyte.
유공벽을 이용한 우류식 염소접촉조 사류 저감 방안 연구

From the results of tracer test for the existing chlorine contactor in Y water treatment plant, T10 and T10/T were calculated as 130 min and 0.16, respectively. Therefore it required the modification schemes for improving hydraulic efficiency, surrogated by T10 and T10/T, and disinfection performance. In this study, in order to reduce dead zone within contactor, the installation of porous baffles in the near of each corner was suggested and verified using transient CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation technique and tracer tests on dynamic condition. From the results of simulation and tracer tests, it was revealed that porous baffles installed have been effective to reduce dead zone within contactor, and increase plug flow fraction.

본 논문에서는 정류공의 형태 및 유공율 변화에 따른 정류효과를 얻기 위한 실험이 실시되었다. 실험은 파일롯트 플랜트를 이용하여 실시되었으며, 12㎥/일 규모의 파일롯트 플랜트가 설치되었고, 원형 정류공, 양단 축소형, 하단 축소형 등 3개의 정류공이 정류효과를 검토하기 위하여 설치되었다. 정류효과는 침전된 슬러지의 양, 탁도 제거 효율, 형광액을 이용한 흐름특성에 따라 평가되었다. 실험결과 하단 축소형 정류공을 가진 정류벽의 효과가 원형 정류공이나 양단 축소형 정류공을 가진 정류벽에 비하여 더 나았다. 유공를 변화에 따른 실험에서 유공율이 6.3%와 8.0%인 정류벽의 정류효과는 유공율이 4.5%인 정류벽에 비하여 정류효과가 크게 개선되는 것으로 나타났다. 만약 침전지 입구에 하단 축소형 정류공을 가진 정류벽이 설치된다면 원형이나 양단축소형 정류공을 가진 정류벽에 비하여 정류효과를 크게 개선시킬 것이다. In this paper, the experiments to obtain the effects of baffles by the variations of baffle type and opening rate were conducted. The experiments are conducted using the pilot plant. The pilot plant having the capacity of 12㎥/day was installed and the baffles having three different opening holes, which are the circular, upward and downward contracted, and downward contracted holes, are utilized to investigate the effects of baffles. The effects were evaluated depending upon the settled sludge volume, turbidity removal efficiency and flow characteristics examined using the fluorescent material. The results show that the effect of the baffle having the downward contracted holes is better compared to the baffles having two different types of opening holes. In the experiments by the variation of the opening rates, the baffle effects are greatly improved when the opening rate of 4.5% is increased until 6.3% to 8.0%. If the baffles having downward contracted holes are used in the sedimentation basin, the baffle effects are greatly increased compared to the baffles having the circular holes or upward and downward contracted holes.
