This study aimed to investigate the protective effects of a skin protection cream against aluminum chloride, a substance that can cause skin irritation and burns when exposed to the skin. After confirming the safety of the protective cream through skin sensitivity tests, we examined whether the cream could reduce the skin toxicity caused by aluminum chloride using a full-thickness cultured skin. The test results showed a significantly higher level of procollagen synthesis in the group where the skin protection cream was applied compared to the group exposed to aluminum chloride. Additionally, aluminum chloride was found to persist even after washing, but the protection cream inhibited its persistence. These results demonstrate that the skin protection cream can contribute to the prevention of occupational skin diseases among naval personnel and maintenance crew involved in tasks such as ship maintenance.

Process control systems used in most domestic petrochemical corporates today are based on the Windows platforms. As technology leans toward opened environment, the exposure risk of control systems is increasing. However, not many companies are preparing for various cyberattacks due to lack of awareness and misunderstanding of cyber intrusion. This study investigated the extent of how much exposed the petrochemical process control system is to security threats and suggested practical measures to reduce OT cybersecurity vulnerabilities. To identify the cyber threat status of process control systems, vulnerabilities of the Windows platform, a principal cyber threat factor, have been analyzed. For research, three major DCS providers in Korea and the discontinuation of Windows platform of 635 control systems were investigated. It was confirmed that 78% of the survey subjects were still operating in the discontinued windows platforms, and those process control systems were operated in a state vulnerable to cyber intrusions. In order to actively cope with these cyber threats, legal regulations such as designation of critical infrastructure for major petrochemical facilities which is implemented in advanced countries such as the United States are needed. Additionally, it is necessary to take the initiative in eradicating security threats to the process control systems by aggressively introducing security solutions provided from existing DCS suppliers. The purpose of this study is to check the priority control status of the current operation process alarm by comparing the priority of the alarm set up in PV high trip point, which is being installed and operated in the domestic petrochemical industry, with the criteria presented in ISA 18.2 International Standard or EEMUA 191 Guidelines. In the event of a process problem, excessively set high alarm is provided to the driver in a short period of time, making it difficult to identify the alarm that needs to be handled first. As a result, it is likely that the operator will not be able to carry out appropriate actions within the specified time frame, and many cases have been reported leading to unexpected process shutdowns or process accidents. Therefore, this study aims to introduce international standards related to alarm management and identify the level of alarm control used at the domestic petrochemical industry site to inform potential risks that may occur in the petrochemical process of the national industrial complex in the future and suggest ways to reduce risk factors. Since chemical plants are highly related to processes and are a device industry where various technologies are concentrated, there is a growing need for a sequential approach to finding and removing direct causes when analyzing the cause of accidents and an integrated systematic perspective related to technology, culture, organization, and society. In this study, we would like to analyze the primary cause of the accident and organizational and operational problems using STAMP (Systematic Accident Analysis Technique) for explosion accidents that occurred during welding work in the reactor.
사이버안전을 위한 암호화폐 이용 자금세탁 대응방안 연구

본 연구는 암호화폐 투자가 급증하는 상황에서 이를 악용한 범죄를 살펴보고, 그중 암호화폐를 이용한 자금세탁 방지를 위한 방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 문헌고찰을 통해 자금세탁의 방법과 사례를 분석하고, 이에 대응방안을 제시하였다. 연구 결과 암호화폐를 이용한 자금세탁방지를 위해 선진국에서는 자금세탁방지국제기구(FATF)의 권고안에 따라 일반 금융거래와 동일한 규제를 하고 있었다. 그러나 한국의 경우 2021년 법률에 근거하여 자금세탁방지를 위한 규제를 시행하고 있으나 개선의 필요성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대응방안으로 첫째, 법제도적 측면에서 암호화폐의 거래소와 거래 관련 규정을 법정화폐 수준으로 강화해야 하며, 둘째 기술적 측면에서 자금세탁 방지를 위한 솔루션 구축을 위한 기술적·재정적 지원의 필요성을 제안하였다. 이는 암호화폐를 이용한 자금세탁에 관한 이해의 폭을 넓히고 자금세탁방지를 통한 암호화폐 악용을 방지하는데 중요한 자료로 활용될 것이다. The purpose of this study is to examine the crimes that exploited cryptocurrencies in a situation where investment in cryptocurrencies is rapidly increasing, and to suggest measures to prevent money laundering using cryptocurrencies. For this, methods and cases of money laundering were analyzed through literature review, and countermeasures were presented. As a result of the study, in order to prevent money laundering using cryptocurrency, developed countries were regulating the same as general financial transactions according to the recommendations of the FATF. However, in the case of Korea, regulations to prevent money laundering are being implemented based on the 2021 Act, but there is a need for improvement. As a countermeasure to this, first, in terms of legal system, regulations related to cryptocurrency exchanges and transactions should be strengthened to the level of fiat currency, and second, in terms of technical aspects, the need for technical and financial support for anti-money laundering solutions was proposed. This will be used as an important data to broaden the understanding of money laundering using cryptocurrency and to prevent the abuse of cryptocurrency through money laundering prevention.

Radon measurement in military installations is essential for the health and safety of soldiers and has broader implications for public health and safety. Accurate measurement is paramount as it forms the foundation for effective radon exposure assessment and mitigation efforts. Providing clear regulations and guidelines for radon reduction is crucial, but precision in measurement is the key to informing successful strategies and policies for reducing radon exposure both within the military and in the general population.
