Since the 90`s, Korean Air transport market has been more expanded because of economic growth, the construction of airport infrastructure, and the advent of low cost carrier. Especially, the air traffic demand in Busan metropolitan area has been increasing steadily. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a new forecasting model which could expect the future air traffic demand in Busan area. This model is developed by regression analysis using social-economic variables such as GRDP, income, and the number of people, and dummy variables, for instance, KTX opening, Japan economic depression, SARS and so on. Result from demand forecasting by this new model suggests that the new airport system is needed in order to sustain the increasing air traffic demand in Busan area.

Leisure boat and yacht should be designed to meet the domestic regulation and international standards as large merchant vessels. Recently, ISO (International Standards Organization) is required to be applied to the design and construction of leisure boats such catamarans and small yachts. Furthermore domestic rule for the design of catamaran has not activated by domestic rule or regulations. This study has developed the rule scantling programs that can be used to design the sailing catamarans based on ISO TC-188 in 12215 rule and Lloyd register rules. Using the program, we calculate the design load and estimate the attributes of the structural members that are supposed to satisfy the regulation and standards. High speed boat design rule of Korea Register (KR) and scantling rules defined in special service craft of Lloyd Register (LR) rule are compared with that of ISO international standards. In order to get the magnitude of design load and structural strength, FRP catamaran and Aluminum catamaran are analyzed by finite element analysis. The structural strength of the catamarans is assessed based on the design load suggested by KR, LR and ISO standard. Thereafter, the structural strength and structural design requirement of each classification rule and ISO international standard are compared. Finally, the initial design procedure and the appropriate structural strength evaluation processes that can be applied to the catamaran design are explained.

For the world`s safest air traffic, safety-related areas through the large investment made in a sufficient safe level, but the airport`s lack of safety management is concerned about the safety. Airside area is essential area for the flights, and activities of safe management in airside area is very important. Grafting of airside safety management and IT, importance of the safety and efficiency is growing. Advanced airports of world has applied GIS over 10 years ago, and through applying GIS, Airports GIS has been a specialized area. Therefore, this research is for geographic information standards and related laws, providing a guideline of regulations and standards for AIXM (Aeronautical Information Exchange Model), RTCA DO-272A (USER REQUIREMENTS FOR AERODROME MAPPING INFORMATION), FAA Advisory Circular 150/5300 -18A (General Guidance and Specifications for Submission of Aeronautical Survey to NGS: Field Data Collection and Geographic Information System Standards), and by analyzing aviation information and air map(notice Civil Aviation Safety Authority No. 2009-1), provide the direction of standardization for air map.

Aircraft parking stand is a place separated by a pavement marking so that aircraft can park in the apron. If there is not an aircraft parking stand available for aircraft just arrived, the aircraft has to wait for a stand becomes empty on taxi lane taxiway, which annoys passengers, and deteriorates the congestion in the airport. Therefore, it is important to provide adequate parking stands in planning process. In this study, we studied the maximum number of aircraft parking stands required in the past, and estimated the future requirements, for Incheon International airport.

Some structural members of large-scale marine vessels such as large-scale offshore structures and very large container ships are assembled by very thick plates of which thickness exceeds 60mm. Also, high-tensile steels have been selected to meet the required structural strength and fatigue strength. Generally, multi-pass welding method such as FCA(Flux-Core Arc) welding has been used to join the thick plates. Considering the welding residual stresses, fatigue strength of the welded joints of thick plates should be assured since the residual stress influences the fatigue strength. This paper presents a numerical procedure to investigate the residual stress of structure joined by multi-pass FCA welding so that it can be incorporated into the fatigue strength assessment considering the effect of welding residual stress. The residual stress distribution is also measured by X-Ray diffraction method. The residual stress obtained by the computational model also has been compared with that of experiment. The results of FEA are in very good agreement with the experimental measurements.
시스템 다이나믹스 방법론을 활용한 전기자동차 배터리 임대사업 가치사슬의 평가

본 연구는 배터리 자동 교환형 전기버스(Smart e-Bus) 시스템의 정착 및 활성화를 위한 최적 전략 수립의 일환으로, 배터리 임대사업의 가치사슬을 재무적 타당성 측면에서 평가하기였다. 이를 위해 Smart e-Bus System의 도입을 통해 새로이 구성될 수 있는 배터리 임대사업의 가치사슬 구조를 분석하였고, 시스템 다이나믹스 방법론을 활용하여 재무적 타당성 평가 모형을 구축하였다. 그리고 실제 서울시 버스 네트워크에 적용하여 배터리 임대사업의 재무적 타당성 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 Smart e-Bus 시스템 구축전략의 최적화 수준을 높여 사업의 집행의 이해관계당사자들의 참여를 촉진하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다. The Smart e-Bus system is the automatic battery swapping electric bus system consisting of battery swapping electric buses, battery exchanging platforms and emergency charging systems. Existing electric vehicles`` market is not growing owing to long charging hour, unpredictable travel range, expensive battery price and battery safety issues. By introducing the Smart e-Bus system, we can expect to promote a wide acceptance of electric vehicles in the consumer market. The purpose of this study is to evaluate sustainability of the Smart e-Bus system market. For this purpose, we suggested the financial feasibility analysis model of electric vehicle battery rental value chain using system dynamics approach. This study results are expected to optimize the Smart e-Bus system strategy and promote participation of stakeholders.

This paper discusses the qualification criteria for international hub airport and suggests the strategies for Inchon International Airport (IIA) to be the hub airport in the East Asia. Recently, many East and Southeast Asia countries have invested on large scale international airports like Chap Lak Kok airport, Pudong airport etc., as Korea have done on IIA. IIA to be open in 2001 will face a serious competition with these airport. Being a hub airport requires geographic proximity, sufficient volume of local traffic, uncongested infrastructure, a good accessibility to surrounding industrial centers, high quality of service to the airline. In order to promote airlines to land at IIA, Korea Government need to establish Open Sky Policy to many countries and national flag carriers of Korea need to be involved in a global alliance. Developing vicinity of IIA as free trade Zone will generated more local traffic which makes IIA as more attractive candidate for airlines. The Korea airspace is one of the most restricted area in the world because of the national security, which limits civil aircraft maneuvers. The airspace need to be re-structured to exploit the full capacity of IIA.
