AGV 물류 이동장치의 효율적인 STPA 안전성 분석을 위한 운영 시나리오 연계 분석 프로세스 모델 연구

        김명성,김영민 대한안전경영과학회 2023 대한안전경영과학회지 Vol.25 No.3

In order to solve the rapidly increasing domestic delivery volume and various problems in the recent metropolitan area, domestic researchers are conducting research on the development of “Urban Logistics System Using Underground Space” using existing urban railway facilities in the city. Safety analysis and scenario analysis should be performed for the safe system design of the new concept logistics system, but the scenario analysis techniques performed in previous studies so far do not have standards and are defined differently depending on the domain, subject, or purpose. In addition, it is necessary to improve the difficulty of clearly defining the control structure and the omission of UCA in the existing STPA safety analysis. In this study, an improved scenario table is proposed for the AGV horizontal transport device, which is a key equipment of an urban logistics system using underground space, and a process model is proposed by linking systematic STPA safety analysis and scenario analysis, and UCA and Control Structure Guidelines are provided to create a safety analysis.

Theorizing Diasporic Future: Afro-Posthuman Ontology and Black Movement

        김명성 한국현대영미소설학회 2019 현대영미소설 Vol.26 No.1

This article explores the aesthetic inspiration that has translocated African American presence within another dimension. Since Martin R. Delany conceived the allohistorical antebellum U.S. in Blake; or, The Huts of America, black writers have created diverse alternate universes, which store and inherit Africana culture in its own ontological vein, interrogating and revising historical events insufficiently treated by realism. In the post-war and post-Civil Rights Movement eras African American artists began reflecting on shifting racial dynamics in light of technological changes. This shift, in which black experience became mechanized and digitized, explains how technology became a source of new black cultural production. Responding to the conceptual transformation of humanity with a race-specific scope, such futuristic devices as transhuman anamorphosis, cyberspace, and digital souls, which explore humanity outside its phenotypic boundaries, provide African American artists with representational tools to demystify deterministic views of race. Focusing on shifting racial dynamics caught up in the swirl of technological changes, in which posthumanistic imaginations make it possible for African American artists to envision how racial power can be reconfigured and renegotiated, this article illuminates a process of literary production in which black culture and identity have been continuously reinterpreted.

Reconsidering Interracial Self-Construction of White Boyhood and Antebellum Anxieties in Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

        김명성 21세기영어영문학회 2023 영어영문학21 Vol.36 No.2

In dealing with the issues of race, masculinity, and individualism in the nineteenth century antebellum milieu, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’s representation of the interracial relationship between Huck and Jim has been heavily contested. This is mainly because the novel’s portrayal of Huck’s individualism is intrinsically associated with his pursuit of control over his own body, which is threatened by his abusive father. These unstable psychological underpinnings are transformed upon his escape from his father and the emergence of Jim as his companion. This relationship is complicated by Jim’s racial identity, and the power and privilege at play in the interracial friendship. The symbiotic relationship between the white protagonist and his African- American comrade serves as a vessel that transports the protagonist’s immature desires from reality to fantasy, bringing him closer to the yearning emblematic of the American cultural ethos. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn prioritizes the mythic hero of the frontier, emphasizing self-determination and self-sufficiency achieved by navigating white-male selfhood. The adolescent fantasies of adventure and adult aspirations of independence, masculinity, and race amid the politico-cultural circumstances of the nineteenth century basically establish the novel’s notion of African American culture, which supports Huck’s frontier individualism. Consequently, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn remains a white-male commentary on slavery and antebellum southern culture, allegorically projecting antebellum anxieties into Huck’s psychology.

Tropes of Apologetic Sexuality and the Lineage of African American Women in Nella Larsen’s Quicksand

        김명성 새한영어영문학회 2018 새한영어영문학 Vol.60 No.4

This article locates Helga’s apologetic sexuality in Quicksand within the early twentieth-century context of the Great Migration―one of the major demographic transformations in the US race history―including consumerism, and Black Nativism. Helga’s search for her own subjectivity discloses how the homogeneous black patriarchy marginalized female African Americans, appropriating a black female body for political struggle and racial uplift, and her mobility and consumerist fetishism militate against social and cultural oppressions inscribed upon a black female body in the male-centered black community. Such representations of psychological conundrums and sexual cul-de-sac of African American women place Quicksand in the womanist tradition, echoing the social surveillance on a black female body in Harriet Jacobs’s Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, in which sexuality without apology is not allowed. Through the inner psychological turbulence of Helga, whose sexual desire is always deferred, Larsen criticizes a world where female sexuality can be sanctioned only within heterosexual black patriarchy.

Rewriting Wertherian Sentimentality: Reflection, Morality, and the Republican Womanhood in William Hill Brown’s The Power of Sympathy

        김명성 미래영어영문학회 2023 영어영문학 Vol.28 No.1

This article explores the notions of sentimentality in William Hill Brown’s The Power of Sympathy, particularly in relation to the sentimental tradition of 18th-century Europe. Since The Power of Sympathy was published in 1789, the novel’s association with the sympathetic tradition of European literature has provoked various responses from critics. These mixed reactions mainly stemmed from the expectations of the first American novelist who tried to establish an independent moral standard outside the European tradition. Brown’s portrayal of moral transgression and its tragic consequences in The Power of Sympathy is deeply associated with his aspirations for the republican society in the 18th-century United States. By emphasizing morality based on self-reflection, he contextualizes private relationships within idealized models of social systems based on American republicanism. In particular, in order to analyze the republican implications of The Power of Sympathy, this article pays attention to the allusion and thematic variation of The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the monumental 18th-century Sturm und Drang romance. The thematic variation of Goethe’s romance in The Power of Sympathy shapes the overall outlook of the novel. Brown not only borrows the suicide motif of The Sorrows of Young Werther or its epistolary form, but he creates a female character who would advocate the dominant ideology of early America by rewriting the novel amid the 18th-century American political milieu.

Improvement of the items of the Korea nurse assistant licensing examination through a job analysis of nurse assistants

        김명성,남영희,이윤현 사단법인 대한보건협회 2022 대한보건연구 Vol.48 No.1

Background: It aimed to analyze the duties of nurse assistants and to provide recommendations for improving the Korea Nurse Assistant Licensing Examination (KNALE). Methods: In order to understand the job characteristics, job content and requirements and KNALE topics were reviewed. Furthermore, the experts’ opinions concerning nurse assistants (specialized high school teachers, nursing and health professors, nursing academy directors, physicians, and oriental medicine doctors) were assessed. A seminar for convergence, a focused group interview with 10 nurses and 7 health scientists, was done. The online questionnaire for 265 nurses, nurse assistants, health science majors, and medicine majors were also conducted. Results: The survey from experts and nurse assistants revealed that the job characteristics of a nurse assistant are diverse and that the KNALE is structured in a way that does not match the professionalism required on the field. The job-based exam items should be included to improve the KNALE. Specifically, the number of practice-based items should be greater than that of theory-based items and should emphasize on “infection and injury” and “emergency response” areas. The inclusion of a former nurse assistant who can contribute to items production and item review is highly favored to improve the items’ suitability to nurse assistant’s job. Conclusion: It is necessary to improve the examination items by placing a greater emphasis on areas of “infection and injury” and “emergency response,” because a high level of such knowledge is demanded from nurse assistants who work in hospitals.

김명성,장경호,김영민,김주욱 한국인터넷방송통신학회 2023 International journal of advanced smart convergenc Vol.12 No.1

Recently, as mega-urbanization progresses, urban logistics centered on large cities is growing rapidly, and logistics transportation is increasing due to the lack of logistics infrastructure and the operation of a delivery system using cargo trucks in the city center. being cited as a cause. In order to solve this problem, domestic researchers are conducting research on the development of “ Urban Underground railway Logistics System” that minimizes the initial infrastructure construction cost by utilizing the existing urban railway facilities in the city. Therefore, this paper analyzed the usage environment of the actual urban railway station to which the system will be applied in order to derive candidates for the test bed selection of “Urban Underground railway Logistics System”. The evaluation criteria for test bed candidate role selection were established, and the candidate group derived from the Brown & Gibson model was used to evaluate the candidate group and derive the candidate role. A review of the results was conducted to contribute to the establishment of a test bed for the “ Urban Underground railway Logistics System” under development.

Masculinity, Domesticity, and the Representation of African American Female Experience in Harriet Jacobs’s Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl and Toni Morrison’s Beloved

        김명성 새한영어영문학회 2017 새한영어영문학 Vol.59 No.4

This essay explores a womanist lineage, a race- and class-specific feminist continuum in African American culture, represented in Harriet Jacobs’s Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl and Toni Morrison’s Beloved, especially in regard to the negotiation of masculinity and domesticity, black matriarchy, and the absence of a husband figure. Set in an era where patriarchal heterosexualism served as a political doctrine for the solidarity of the African American community, Incidents and Beloved depict how the black female protagonists place themselves at the intersection of masculine resistance and domestic motherhood; they reject the Victorian gender roles prevalent in the nineteenth century, yet simultaneously accept their maternal places in the domestic sphere. Throughout such strategic revisions of selfhood, in which the black female body is inscribed in the negotiation of two registers―political masculinity and revised womanhood―Jacobs and Morrison establish the slave narrative as a location for the critique of black patriarchy and the exploration, uncovering, and reorganization of the African American female experience.
