Many lakes and rivers have reached levels of eutrophication that make them unacceptable for recreational activities and as municipal and industrial water supply sources. The eutrophic state is a direct result of an increase in the availability of both organic and inorganic nutrients. This increase in the nutrient concentration may be caused by wastewater discharges and urban or agricultural stormwater runoff. But in some waters, there must not be neglected as appreciable internal nutrient sources in the form of benthal deposits. And so the objective of this experiment is to understand the characteristics of phosphorous release from sediment as an internal pollution source and perform pertinent water management. As the phosphorus released from sediment was influenced seriously by anaerobic state, the protective measures of eutrophication must be setted up against not only external sources but also internal ones together.

Pleomorphic adenoma is a benign salivary gland tumor with histologic diversity. The majority of these tumor occurs in the parotid gland. The authors experienced the patients, who complained the tumor-like soft tissue mass on the palatal area. After careful analysis of clinical, radiological and histopathological findings, we diagnosed it as pleomorphic adenoma in the palatal area, and obtained characteristic features were as follows: 1. Main clinical symptom was a painless, slow growing, soft tissue mass with normal intact overlying mucosa on the palatal area. 2. In the radiographic examminations, well encapsulated homogeneous soft tissue mass was shown in the lesion site, and cortical thinning on the palate was also observed. 3. In histopathologic examminations, proliferated cellular components in the hyaline stroma were observed as double layered duct-like structure and densely solid sheet appearance.

변환 격차 코드는 모든 레이트에서 정상 가우시안 소오스와 자승 오차 왜곡에 대해 최적코드이다. 본 논문은 실제 데이타의 통계적 특성에 잘 맞는 코드를 얻기 위해 점근적으로 최적인 변환 격자 코드를 훈련시켰다. 훈련 알고리즘은 격자 코드북을 탐색하기위한 M알고리즘과 코드북을 새롭게하기 위한 LBG 알고리즘을 사용했다. 훈련된 변환 격자 코드의 성능을 조사하기 위해서 상관 계수가 0.9인 1차 AR 가우시안 소오스와 실제 음성 데이타를 사용하였다. 1차 AR 소오스에서, 훈련에 사용되지 않은 데이타에 대한 SNR은 레이트에 따라 샤논의 정보량 왜곡 함수에 의한 SNR보다 0.6에서 1.4dB 낮았으나, 이것은 같은 계산량을 사용한 다른 코딩 결과들보다 우수 했다. 실제 음성 데이타는 레이트 1.0 bits/sample에서 코딩을 했으며, 보다 좋은 성능을 얻기 위해 윈도우 함수와 이득 적용을 사용했다. There exists a transform trellis code that is optimal for stationary Gaussian sources and the squared-error distortion measure at all rates. In this paper, we train an asymptotically optimal version of such a code to obtain one which is matched better to the statistics of real world data. The training algorithm uses the M algorithm to search the trellis codebook and the LBG algorithm to update the trellis codebook. We investigate the trained transform trellis coding scheme for the first-order AR(autoregressive) Gaussian source whose correlation coefficient is 0.9 and actual speech sentences. For the first-order AR source, the achieved SNR for the test sequence is from 0.6 to 1.4 dB less than the maximum achievable SNR as given by Shannon's rate-distortion function for this source, depending on the rate and surpasses all previous known results for this source. For actual speech data, to achieve improved performance, we use window functions and gain adaptation at rate 1.0 bits/sample.

The arteriovenous malformation, an uncommon lesion, is a direct communication between an artery and a vein that bypasses the intervening capillary bed. The authors experienced two cases of arteriovenous malformation in 17-year-old and 18-year-old female patients who had suffered from mandibular pain and gingival bleeding. As a result of careful analysis of clinical and angiographic radiological examinations, we diagnosed them as arteriovenous malformations, and the results were as follows : 1. Main clinical symptoms were dull pain and gingival bleeding on the mandibular body area, and reddness, pain on palpation, thrill and palpitation in the lesional sites were also observed. 2. Radiographically, well-defined radiolucent lesions with multiple osteolytic defects were observed. In radio-nuclide scan, increased uptakes of radioisotope were observed in the lesional sites. 3. Increased venous shunt supplied by the facial, lingual and inferior alveolar arteries was observed in angiography. After embolotherapy was performed, no recurrence was reported during 3 to 6 months follow up.
병원 병동부 평면 유형에 따른 가시영역 측정을 통한 관리 및 프라이버시에 관한 연구

The Panopticon designed by Jeremy Bentham in 1791 allows an observer who dominates the gaze in a certain space to watch more than the subjects and to monitor them. This panoptic surveillance system has been bound up with power and has institutionally been widespread throughout all the places wherever the utility is required to be increased. Though modern technique began to graft CCTV onto the existing system and the concept has expanded to Synopticon, Super Panopticon, etc, it hasn’t proved yet that how the Panopticon correlates with the changed conditions of the time. The concept of ‘surveillance’ has been turning from ‘to watch’ into ‘to look after,’ which sprang after the protection of human rights and the increasing concern about privacy. While the Panopticon aroused the human rights issue against immoderate surveillance, the new meaning of surveillance aimed at excessive protection brings about the invasion of privacy. This study selected relevant facilities, categorized them and ascertained if the spatial hierarchy is applied for the surveillance system. To achieve this, VGA indices and floor plan analyses are cross-checked. The purpose of this study is to find out how the 18th century’s surveillance skill is applied in modern buildings. Lastly, the way that the visual indices categorized through this study could be referred to building planning is presented.
