        구조방정식 모형을 활용한 초등 예비교사들의 생물학 실험 활동에 대한 태도, 환경 혐오감, 생물학 교수 불안 간의 관계 분석

        This study aims to analyze relations among 3 kinds of latent variables, attitude toward biology laboratory activities, environmental aversion and biology teaching anxiety in 155 elementary pre-service teachers. Thus, this study conducted structural equation modeling based on descriptive statistics, satisfaction of normal distribution conditions and correlation analysis. It was found that the three kinds of latent variables all met normal distribution conditions. Besides, statistically significant correlations were found among measurement variables of each latent variable. The research model was established based on the structural equation analysis results, showing that the more positive attitude they had toward biology laboratory activities, the more positive effect it had on environmental aversion, and attitude toward biology laboratory activities had indirect effect, rathe than direct effect, on biology teaching anxiety through environmental aversion as a mediator. The goodness-of-fit of this model was confirmed through goodness-of-fit indices, such as RMSEA, TLI and CFI, variance estimates and path coefficients. Overall, this study found it important to make positive changes in biology laboratory activities and reduce environmental aversion so that the level of biology teaching anxiety can be maintained low.

      • Fe가 오염된 GaAs에서의 Photoluminescence

        Photoluminescence(PL) has been applied to characterize the transition in contaminated n-GaAs with Iron. The PL spectrum of the bulk n-GaAs at 15 K showed two peaks, one is the DAP peak located at 1.477 eV and the other is the Ga vacancy peak around 1.4973 eV. The PL spectrum of the Fe contaminated n-GaAs showed peak located at 1.4795 eV with broade the full with half maximum that relate with Fe acceptors. From temperature dependent PL intensity, activation energy E_(u) is determined to be 35 meV.

        초등 예비교사들의 ‘배추흰나비 한살이’ 탐구에서 나타난 지식변환 유형 탐색

        This study divided pre-service elementary school teachers’ knowledge conversion into four types, socialization, externalization, combination and internalization, based on their inquiry activities on the life cycle of cabbage butterfly. As research subjects, this study collected results from 24 pre-service elementary school teachers who carried out inquires on the life cycle of cabbage butterfly for about 2 months. The type of socialization indicates the conversion of tacit knowledge into tacit knowledge, and this study found out that pre-service elementary school teachers acquired and accumulated tacit knowledge from their fellow pre-service teachers, professors and even acquaintances inside and outside the lab. However, there appeared no process that they shared their tacit knowledge with other pre-service teachers or delivered it to them. The type of externalization indicates the conversion of tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge, and this study discovered some cases that pre-service elementary school teachers expressed their inner tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge. However, there was no case found that they converted the verbally-unexpressed tacit knowledge of their fellow teachers or experts into well-defined explicit knowledge. The type of combination indicates the conversion of explicit knowledge into explicit knowledge, and this study discovered some cases that they collected explicit knowledge and converted it into new explicit knowledge for the acquisition, integration and delivery or distribution of explicit knowledge. However, there were few cases that they creatively devised new explicit knowledge by acquiring new knowledge through direct observation and supplementing the existing explicit knowledge. The type of internalization indicates the conversion of explicit knowledge into tacit knowledge, and this study discovered both explicit knowledge embodied through personal experiences and explicit knowledge embodied through simulations and experiments that formed tacit knowledge in process of examining the existing explicit knowledge.

        과학관의 역할에 대한 과학관 홈페이지 인사말과 초등학생의 생각 탐색- 텍스트 네트워크 분석기법 활용 -

        This study aims to comparatively analyze the correlation between science museum homepage introduction and elementary school students’ thoughts about science museum roles through visualized network by extracting keywords from the texts of science museum homepage introduction and elementary students’ thoughts. As keywords from science museum homepage introduction and elementary school students’ thoughts about science museum roles, this study discovered ‘Science’ and ‘Experience’. Besides, ‘Universe’, ‘Education’, ‘Culture’ and ‘Diversity’ were emphasized in the science museum homepage introduction, while ‘Fun’, ‘Idea’ and ‘Human’ were emphasized in elementary students’ thoughts. When analyzing the text network, this study found out that both science museum homepage introduction and elementary school students showed ‘Science’ and ‘Experience’ as keywords, which formed the network while getting connected with other words. When analyzing the common- word network, this study extracted and analyzed 72 words from science museum homepage introduction and elementary school students’ thoughts about science museum roles. However, as users, elementary school students tended to regard science museums as learning space in connection with science textbooks, but as providers, science museums did not sufficiently mention it through their homepage introductions. Considering this fact, this study found it necessary to develop programs in connection with school curriculum and provide exhibition panels in connection with science curriculum so that users’ demands can be satisfied in the level of science museum organizations.

        초등학생들의 과학교과에서의 수리 문제 해결력 분석

        본 연구에서는 초등학교 6학년을 대상으로 과학교과에서의 대표적인 5가지 유형의 수리적 문제를 제시하여 정답률과 풀이 과정에서의 어려움을 분석하였다. 또한 Hogan이 제시한 수리적 구조에 따라 초등학생들의 풀이 과정을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 무게, 평균, 압력 및 부피, 낮의 길이, 속력에 대한 수리적 문제 중에서 평균 문제에 대한 정답률이 가장 높았으며 무게 문제에 대한 정답률이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 그러나 실제 초등학생들은 가장 어려움을 느끼는 문제는 압력 및 부피 문제로 응답하였다. 초등학생들이 과학교과에서의 수리적 문제에 대한 공통적인 어려움은 수학적 지식을 과학에서도 사용하는 학습 전이 맥락 측면이었다. Hogan의 수리적 구조에 따라 각 문제에 대한 초등학생들의 풀이 과정을 분석한 결과 수학적 지식 측면에서 오류가 가장 많았고, 특별한 수학적 지식과 과학적 지식을 적절히 적용하여 문제를 해결하는 능력인 전략적 지식 측면의 오류를 보인 학생은 5명에 불과하였다. 이는 수학적 지식의 오류로 인해 수학적 지식을 과학에 적용할 기회를 갖지 못했기 때문으로 볼 수 있다. This study aims to analyze elementary school six graders’rates of correct answers and difficulties in solving problems by suggesting 5 typical mathematical problems from school science. Besides, this study analyzed the process of their solving problems by Hogan’s Mathematical Structure. The research results can be summarized as below. The rate of correct answers to problems about average was highest out of all the problems about weight, average, pressure & volume, the length of days and speed, while the rate of correct answers to problems about weight was lowest. However, elementary school students responded that the problems they actually found most difficulty were about pressure & volume. Their difficulties in solving mathematical problems from school science were commonly in the context of learning transfer that they should use their mathematical knowledge for school science. As a result of analyzing the process of elementary school students’ solving problems by Hogan’s Mathematical Structure, this study discovered that they made mathematical knowledge errors most, but there were only 5 students who made errors of strategic knowledge, which indicates an ability to solve problems by properly applying particular mathematical knowledge and scientific knowledge together. The main reason why they had such difficulties seemed to be because they hardly had chances to apply their mathematical knowledge to science due to their errors of mathematical knowledge

        동기 유발 전략을 적용한 생물 수업이 중학교 과학 영재들의 과학 관련 태도와 생물 영역에 대한 흥미도, 학습 동기에 미치는 효과

        In this research, we developed and implemented a lecturing strategy that could motivate junior high school students' attitudes and learning motives. The experiment was carried out with 51 grade 8 science-gifted students in finding out the effect of new strategies on their attitudes toward science, interest in biology, and as well as learning motives. Biology classes that implemented the motivation-triggering strategy followed the ARCS structure and considered the aspects of concentration ability, inter-relationship, confidence, satisfaction. In the beginning stage of the strategy, a method that would gather the concentration of students was used. And in the developmental stage, a method of inter-relationship and confidence was applied. Lastly, in the stage of evaluation, the content of lecture was configured so that a satisfaction could be acquired by students with the help of strategy of satisfaction. As the result of implementing the motivation-triggering strategy into a biology class, students could increase the ability of self-leading problem solving. In addition, it accelerated students' active behaviors, which positively influence their attitudes toward science. Also, providing students with an opportunity to solve and assess problems on biology subject, allowed them to gain interest and learning-motive.

      • Al_(0.3)Ga_(0.7)As/GaAs 다중 양자우물구조에서 Photolumunescence의 온도 의존성

        Temperature dependent photoluminescence(PL) has been applied to characterize the subband transition in Al_(0.3)Ga_(0.7)As/GaAs multiple quantum wells grown by molecular beam epitaxy. The PL signal at 295 K showed main peak located at 1.4795 eV with a shoulder around 1.4973 eV. They are associated with the E1 H1 and E1 L1. From temperature dependent PL intensity, activation energy is determined to be 22 meV. From temperature dependent PL linewidth, γ_(i) and γ_(c) are determined to be 5.26±0.2 meV, 136±52 meV, respectively. When the lattice temperature was decreased, the peak energy increased, following the temperature dependence of the bulk GaAs band gap, down to around 30 K, and then deviated to the lower energy side by about 3.5 meV at 12 K.

        High School Students’ Understanding of Genetic Concepts and Their Difficulties in Learning Genetics

        The present study aims to look into what level of understanding high school students have about basic concepts of genetics and what difficulties they have in their learning genetics. The instruments used were an open-ended questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. As a result of examining students’ basic conceptions about genetics, we found that a large majority of the students had misconceptions in all the sections, namely, the concepts of gene, DNA and chromosome, the genetic characteristics of somatic and germ cells, the transfer of gene information, and the determination of sex. Speaking of students’ difficulties with genetics, some of their opinions in regard to textbooks were shortage of basic concepts explanation and the related exercise queries, shortage of mathematics-related explanation, and shortage of diverse activities of exploration, while some of their opinions in regard to teachers’ instruction method were no sufficient provision of diverse exercise queries and visual aids in class, more need of learning time in class, and more need of real life-related explanation in class. 본 연구의 목적은 고등학생들의 유전 기본 개념 이해 정도와 유전학습에서 겪는 어려움을 알아보는데 있다. 조사방법으로는 개방적 질문법과 반구조적 면담법을 활용하였다. 유전에 관한 기본 개념 검사 결과, 유전자와 DNA, 염색체에 대한 개념, 체세포와 생식세포의 유전적 특성, 유전정보의 전달, 성 결정 검사항목 모두에서 대다수 학생들이 오개념을 가지고 있었다. 유전학습에서 겪는 어려움 중에서 교과서와 관련해서는 기본 개념 설명과 그와 관련된 연습문제가 부족한 점, 수학적 관련 설명이 부족한 점, 다양한 탐구활동이 부족한 점 등을 들었으며, 교사의 수업 방법에 의해 겪는 어려움으로는 다양한 연습문제와 시각적 자료 제시가 부족하다는 점과, 더 많은 학습시간과 실생활 관련 설명이 필요하다는 의견을 제시하였다.
