브랜드 "페니"를 위한 전시 디스플레이 디자인 연구 -디자인 요소를 바탕으로 한 평면회화와 공간간의 조형적 관계를 중심으로-

본 연구는 현대사회에 물질성이 사라지고 비 물질화가 되어가는 공간의 형태와 존재 의미에 대한 의문에서부터 시작되었으며, 공간 디자인에 있어 기초 디자인 요소를 충실히 인식하고 이를 바탕으로 조형(造形)에 대해 탐구 하고자 한다. 또한 이와 건축의 상관관계를 분석하고 조형성에 기초한 디자인을 도출하여 브랜드 전시공간에 적용하는 일련의 공간 디자인 프로세스를 밝히고자 하는 연구이다. 이를 통해 조형적구성과 형태적 아름다움에 대한 탐구의 선행의 중요성을 알아본다. 본 연구의 과정은 크게 두 가지로 나뉜다. 먼저 기초 디자인 요소의 ``Form&Space``를 중심으로 회화의 조형성과 건축의 상관관계에 대해 이론적 고찰을 통해 디자인을 전개하다. 두 번째로 ‘페니’를 분석하여 브랜드 이미지를 반영한 형태로 발전시켰으며 이에 맞는 재료, 컬러, 도면 3D작업 등을 통해 공간을 구체화 시켜 최종 결과물을 얻는다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 숙명여대 환경디자인과 공간디자인스튜디오Ⅱ수업에서 15주간 진행되었으며 실제 작품의 진행 기간은 약 13주가 소요되었다. 끝으로 본 연구는 위와 같이 조형적 탐구에 기초한 공간디자인 프로세스를 살펴봄으로써 현대 공간의비 물질화에 따른 폐해와 물질적 공간의 조형성 추구를 통해 공간의 근본적 의미에 대해 다시 한 번 생각해보는 기회를 마련해보고자 한다. This study started from a question about the form and existential meaning of space where the modern society’s materiality is giving way to immateriality, with an intention to explore the formative arts based on the faithful understanding of basic design elements. Also, by analyzing its relationship with architecture and developing a design on basis of formativeness, this study was to identify a series of spatial design processes to apply. Through this, the study tried to find out the importance of being preceded by the exploration of formative structure and morphological aesthetics. The process of this study is divided into two phases. First, this study developed a design through theoretical review of the correlation between formativeness of painting and architecture based on ‘Form & Space’, which is one of the basic design elements. Second, after analyzing the brand ‘Penny’, its brand image was reflected in the development of a form, and the final result was achieved by the specific expression of a space with materials, colors, and 3D drawing adequate to its brand image. The study was conducted as an assignment of the 15 week-long Spatial Design Studio Ⅱ class for the department of Environmental Design, Sookmyung Women’s University, and the actual period required for the project took approximately 13 weeks. Finally, based on analysis of spatial design processes through formative exploration, this study intended to offer an opportunity to reflect on the fundamental meaning of space throughrealization of harmful effects of immateriality in the contemporary space and through pursuit of formativeness of a material space.
