        The purpose of this study is discuss stella adler’s acting theory in depth along with social situation and meaning in acting. Adler is insisting that social action is necessary to be a real actor. This can be divided into three part. These are social and ethical consciousness and intellectual ability. If you want to be a real actor, you must have moral and ethical for artistic development as well as own desire. Furthermore, actor should have a social point of view in a work. So intellectual ability is need. Especially, the social attention in art is to appear in Existentialism of Jean-Paul Sartre’s opinion. Adler has a variety of training for acting as social action. The first is ‘observation’ for human insight and compassion. The second is ‘imagination’ for the creation. This training is closely watch the world and people on an open mind. Also this is training pursue the free imagination based on work to the past histort of the character. And this training have great effect on action in given circumstance. In this study, I’ll organize adler’s this study is means organization that all acting training have sociality.
