본 연구는 건조공정에서 이용되는 건조열원으로 일반 니크롬 히터와 적외선 히터를 각각 사용하였을 경우 시편에 도포된 도료의 건조특성을 실험적으로 규명한 것으로 각 히터의 열용량, 도료의 질량 및 풍량 변화에 따른 건조율과 시편의 표면 온도변화를 측정하여 그 결과를 비교ㆍ검토한 것이다.<br/> 건조실험시 일반 니크롬히터와 적외선히터를 각각 사용할 경우 모두 동일한 건조조건중 도료의 질량이 적고 풍량과 히터의 열용량이 클수록 건조완료시간이 빠르게 나타났다.<br/> 적외선 히터를 건조열원으로 사용할 경우 히터의 열용량과 도료의 질량이 클수록 적외선 히터로부터 반투명한 도료 내부에 흡수되는 복사에너지가 증가되어 도료의 내부 가열효과를 발생시키고 이에 따라 시간경과에 따르는 시편의 표면온도가 높아지며 건조율이 크게 되어 동일한 건조조건하에서 적외선히터를 사용하였을 경우가 일반 니크롬히터를 사용하였을 경우보다 건조 성능이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. The drying characteristics of coated films in the specimen were experimentally evaluated for two different drying heat sources ; a Ni-Cr Heater and an Infrared Ray Heater, respectively. It has been demonstrated that the smaller mass of coated films and the higher flow quantity and heat flux, the faster dried time.<br/> In case of using Infrared Ray Heater, the radiant energy absorbed by the translucent films out of the heater was increased as the heat flux of heater and the mass of coated films became higher.<br/> Thus, the films' effect of internal heating was distilled and timewise surface temperature of specimen was appeared to be high.<br/> Furthermore it was found that the drying performances associated with the Infrared Ray Heater were much better than those of the Ni-Cr Heater under the same experimental conditions.
