Acrodermatitis enteropethica (AE) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder of zinc absorption leading to chronic diarrhea and characteristic skin lesion. The term is also applied to any acquired zinc deficiency state resulting in the same clinical pictures. We experienced one case of AE in 1 month old male infant who had bacterial enterocolitis. The skin around mouth, anus, eyes, ears, hands and legs became reddish, vesicular and eczematoid. Serum zinc level was decreased to $51.4\;{\mu}g/dL$ (N=70~150). Endoscopic finding revealed pale gastric mucosa and villous atrophy of small intestine. Biopsy finding of small intestine showed no villi due to mucosal atrophy. On 13 day of admission jaundice with DIC were noted and AST & ALT were elevated to 110 & 36.8 IU/L, respectively. Diarrhea was improved but jaundice and liver function were not recovered until discharge from hospital. After discharge when the patient was 4 months of age serum bilirubin and AST/ALT had not been normalized. CMV shell vial culture of urine and CMV Ig G antibody were positive. So intravenous ganciclovir injection of 7.5 mg/kg, two times a day for 2 weeks and then 10 mg/kg/day for 3 months was done from 4 to 6 months of age. No virus was found in the urine and AST & ALT were normalized at 2 months after stopping ganciclovir treatment.

A simple, rapid, and reliable UPLC-MS/MS method was developed and validated for the determinationof tadalafil in human plasma. The plasma samples were deproteinized with acetonitrile. Chromatographicseparation was performed on a Shiseido C18 (100 × 2.1 mm, 2.7 μm) column withisocratic elution using 2.0 mM ammonium acetate and acetonitrile (55:45, v/v) with 0.1% formicacid at a flow rate of 0.7 mL/min. The total run time was 1 min per sample. The quantitative analysiswas performed using multiple reaction monitoring at transition of m/z 390.4 → 268.3 for tadalafiland m/z 475.3 → 283.3 for sildenafil as an internal standard. The method was fully validated overa concentration range of 5–1,000 ng/mL with a lower quantification limit of 5 ng/mL. Intra- andinter-day precision (relative standard deviation, %RSD) were within 8.4% and accuracy (relative error,%RE) was lower than -3.2%. The developed and validated method was successfully applied to apharmacokinetic study of tadalafil (20 mg) in Korean healthy male subjects (n = 12).

Minimally invasive techniques for transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MIS-TLIF) are advantageous because they allow for sufficient surgical exposure and fewer complications through a smaller incision than conventional TLIF. It could be difficult to maintain minimally invasive spine surgery following the unexpected complications after MIS-TLIF. Because MIS-TLIF is usually done via a paramedian small incision with posterior fusion using screws and rods, visualization of the surgical field is limited, and it is difficult to directly assess the neural structure without removing instrumentation. Unilateral biportal endoscopic decompression (UBE) is a rapidly growing surgical method using two 1-cm incisions that are 2 to 3 cm apart. We would like to suggest UBE as an option for immediate reoperation after MIS-TLIF because it has the advantages of targeting pathologic regions and a wide field of visualization through small wounds. The operation is independent of the existing incision from MIS-TLIF, enabling immediate revision surgery without the removal of the screws and rods. UBE has the advantages of targeting specific surgical regions and providing a wide visualization of the operation field through small incisions. UBE can be very useful for discectomy or decompression surgery as well as in immediate reoperation after MISTLIF.

The simultaneous, quantitative and rapid analysis of plasma concentrations of multiple drugs is important to determine the clinical decision and to expect the prognosis in patients administered in emergency unit with intoxication. Here, we developed the liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)-based drug screening method for analyzing 12 drugs (acetaminophen, amitriptyline, chlorpromazine,cimetidine, diazepam, doxylamine, ephedrine, imipramine, metoclopramide, propranolol, tramadol, and zolpidem) with frequent events of intoxication throughout the country and evaluated its clinical applicability. The overall sensitivity (low limit of quantitation, 0.1-0.5 μg/mL), specificity, precision and accuracy for the quantification of 12 drugs were reliable and all drugs can be analyzed within 6 min. Among 12 drugs in samples for quality control, the REMEDi HS-based method detected only 6 drugs with low accuracy, while the LC-MS/MS system was able to precisely quantify all drugs. In addition, pilot analysis of patient samples with unknown drug intoxication was superior to the conventional LC-based drug profiling system, and was rapid and cost effective. In conclusion, LC-MS/MS-based drug screening is a good replacement for conventional LC-based REMEDi analyzer and has the better clinical applicability.

This study aims to develop a cultural product based on Jeju's beautiful nature and pony so that visitors to Jeju can build an emotional consensus and understanding of Jeju. The cultural product serves to induce purchased visitors to reminisce about Jeju for a long time and decide to revisit. The research direction work to present cultural products contributing to the sustainable tourism industry as series works through woodcraft methods and processes. It designs various forms of ponies that wander slowly and leisurely in the nature of Jeju, and paints representative flowers (plant) that bloom every season on ponies to remember the season they visited. By combining various ponies, such as leisurely grazing and frolicking foal, it is designed to keep the beautiful stories of Jeju as memories as a memory. The design was confirmed through a sketch process that reflected the pony's appearance and behavior, looked into the historical existence of ponies in Jeju. The wooden pony was completed with a wooden craft technique, and the wooden pony was completed with a natural expression of decoration and texture. I hope to re-evaluate the pony, a symbolic animal that remains firmly in Jeju's sad history, as the legacy value of Jeju, and continue to develop woodcraft and cultural products that utilize it as design content. 본 연구는 제주를 찾은 방문객들이 제주에 대한 이해와 정서적 공감대를 형성할 수 있도록 제주의 아름다운 자연과 조랑말을 모티브로 한 문화상품을 개발하고자 한다. 이 문화상품은 구매한 방문객이 제주를 오랫동안 추억하고 재방문을 결정할 수 있도록 유도하는 역할을 한다. 연구 방향은 지속 가능한 관광산업에 기여 하는 문화상품을 목공예 작업방법과 과정을 통해 시리즈 작품으로 제시하는 것이다. 제주의 자연 속에서 느릿느릿 여유롭게 다니는 조랑말(馬)의 모습을 다양한 형태로 디자인하며, 계절마다 피어나는 대표적인 꽃(식물)을 조랑말에 페인팅하여 방문하였던 계절을 기억할 수 있게 한다. 한가롭게 풀을 뜯는 모습, 뛰어다니며 노는 망아지 등의 다양한 모습의 조랑말들을 조합함으로써 제주에서의 아름다운 이야기를 추억으로 간직할 수 있게 디자인한다. 제주에서 조랑말이 어떤 역사적 존재였는지를 고찰하고, 조랑말의 외형적 특징과 동세(動勢)를 반영한 스케치과정을 통해 디자인을 확정하였다. 목공예기법으로 조랑말의 외형작업을 마무리하고, 장식과 질감을 자연스럽게 표현하여 나무조랑말을 완성하였다. 제주의 슬픈 역사 속에 굳건히 남아 있는 상징적 동물인 조랑말을 제주의 유산적 가치로 재평가하고, 이를 디자인 콘텐츠로 활용한 목공예문화상품을 지속적으로 개발하는 계기가 되고자 한다.
