This study was attempted to investigate the effect of Gardeniae Fructus on GOT, GPT, Al.p, LDH activities and level of total cholesterol in serum of CCl₄, and D-galactosamine intoxicated rats, and bile excretion. The geniposide and extract caused a remarkable decrease of GPT activities, level of total cholesterol in serum of CCl₄ intoxicated rats at EtOH Ex. 300, 500 ㎎/㎏ p.o., MeOH Ex. and geniposide 100 ㎎/㎏ p.o., and. GOT, Al.p activities were significantly decreased compared with control group. It caused a remarkable decrease of GPT., Al.p, LDH activities in serum of n-galactosamine intoxicated rats, and GOT activities was significantly decreased compared with control group. The geniposide and extract caused a remarkable increase of bile excretion, when administration of EtOH extract 500 ㎎/㎏ p.o., MeOH extract 100 ㎎/㎏ i.d., MeOH extract 50 ㎎ and geniposide 50 ㎎/㎏ i.v. compared with normal-control group.

This Study was attempted to investigate the effect of Allium cepa L. (onion) on the activities of GOT and GPT, the levels total lipids, triglyceride, total cholesterol, phospholipid and ${\beta}-lipoprotein$ in the serum and the increase ratio of body and liver weight in the experimentally induced hyperlipemic rats. The activities of S-GOT and S-GPT were significantly decreased in dose of onion juice 3 ml and 5 ml/head as compared to the high lipid-diet control group. The levels of total lipids. Triglyceride, total cholesterol and phospholipids were significantly decreased in dose of onion juice 3 ml and 5 ml/head as compared to the control group, respectively. However, the level of ${\beta}-lipoprotein$ was significantly decreased in dose of onion juice 3 ml/head. The levels of triglyceride and total cholesterol in the liver were significanatly decreased in dose of onion juice 3 ml/head. Increase ratio of the body and liver weight were significantly decreased in dose of onion juice 3 ml/head. Anti-fatigue activity of onion juice were studied in mice using the swimming performance method. The potencies of anti-fatigue acti-vities was significantly found in 1.2 ml/head. p.o. of onion juice. The methanol extract and juice extract of onion was significantly found to have an antioxidative activity on the air oxidation of linoleic acid as compared to the 3-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole and ${\alpha}-tocopherol$.

소풍호혈탕의 약효에 관한 연구 : 진통, 항염증 및 혈압에 미치는 효과에 대하여

This study was attempted to examine the acute toxicity and the effect of Sopunghwalhul-Tang water extract(SHTE) on analgesic action in mice, anti- . inflammatory action in rats and blood pressure in rabbits. The results were as follows; SHTE showed 10%o mortality at 2,000 ㎎/㎏(p.o.), had significant analgesic activity - in the pain caused by 0.7% acetic acid and was shown to have significant antiinflammatory activity in the edema-induced by 5% acetic acid at 450 ㎎/㎏. SHTE given into a ear vein of rabbits produced a dose-related vasodepressur responses. SHTE-induced hypotension was significantly inhibited by pretreatment with atropine, but was not affected by chlorisondamine, phentolamine, propranolol, and dephenhydr atnine. These results suggest that SHTE had analgesic, anti-inAammatory action and hypotensive action through stimulation of peripheral cholinergic muscarinic receptor.

제조 엑기스의 마우스 급성독성 및 흰쥐의 사염화탄소 간장장애에 미치는 영향

This study was attempted to investigate the acute toxicity of Liocolae vermiculus(Liocola brevitarsis) extract in mice, the effect on GOT GPT Al.p LDH activities and level of total cholesterol in serum of CCl₄-intoxicated rats. In acute toxicity test, Liocolae vermiculus extract showed 10% mortality at 2,000 ㎎/㎏, p.o. and at 1,000 ㎎/㎏, i.p.. The Liocolae verculus extract caused a remarkable decrease in serum transaminase as well as Al.p activities in CCl₄-intoxicated rats at 300∼1,000 ㎎/㎏ dosage ranges. The activities of -LDH and the level of total cholesterol were significantly decreased in all sample-treated group, when compared with the control group. The body weight decreased, and the liver and spleen weight increased in CCl₄-intoxicated rats were significantly recovered by the administration of the extracts.

수근(Oenanthe stolonifera)엑기스가 白鼠의 實驗的 高脂血症에 미치는 影響

This study was attempted to investigate the effect of "Oenanthe stolonifera" extract on the activities of SGOT SGPT and on the level of total-lipids total-cholesterol triglyceride and HDL-cholesterol in the serum of normal rats and experimentally induced hyperlipemic rats, and on the effect of body, liver and spleen weight in rats. The results were shown as follows; The activities of SGOT and SGPT were significantly decreased in proportion to administered amounts, that is, for 7 days in all sample groups, when compared with the control group, whereas the activity of SGOT was remarkably increased by sample 500㎎/㎏ and 1,000㎎/㎏ for 10 days, and those of SGPT was slightly increase. The levels of total-lipids total- cholesterol triglyceride and HDL-cholesterol were significantly decreased in proportion to administered amounts, when compared witrh the control group. The body weight of the rats increased by high lipid diet was remarkably decreased in proportion to administered amounts for 10 day administration. The liver and spleen weight of the rats increased by the high lipid diet was remarkably decreased in proportion to administered amounts for 10 day administration. The liver and spleen weight of the rats increased by the high lipid diet was not shown decreasing effect in all sample groups. All sample groups for 7 days showed slightly good recuperative effect to the injured liver, but not in 500㎎/㎏ and 1,000㎎/㎏ for 10 days, whereas no recuperative in spleen.

河川水質의 推計學的 構造에 關한 硏究

The stochastic structures of water quality time series were examined. These time series include daily observations in streamflow, water temperature, BOD, and dissolved oxygen deficit. Autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA) models were used to describe the random components of these time series. It was found that except for the BOD the Arima models could provide very satisfactory results.

생강나무의 消炎. 鎭痛作用에 관한 연구(Ⅱ)

Lindera obtusiloba has been used for the treatment of fever, abdominal distention and pain in traditional medicine. The anti-inflammatory activity of the extracts from Lindera obtusiloba was investigated utilizing carrageenin-induced edema, granuloma pouch in rats. The effects of this agent on capillary vascular permeability and acetic acid-induced writhing in mice were also examined. It showed to have significant analgesic activity on the writhing syndrome in mice induced by 0.7% acetic acid at Water extract of root(600㎎/㎏). It was also inhibites the increase in carpillary vascular permeability induced by acetic acid in mice. It showed anti-inflammatory activity in 1% carrageenin-induced edema with oral administeration in rats and exhibited significant preventive effect on edema at Water extract of root(600㎎/㎏). The water extract of root from Lindera obtusiloba showed significant inhibition on granuloma and exudate formation in rats. In the present study, the Water extract of root was indicated to have the analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity.
