        탄성중합체 표면의 마이크로 딤플에 의한 발열저감효과

        Micro-dimples on sliding surfaces have been investigated to reduce the frictional forces on metal bearing surfaces; however, for an elastomer, such as thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), this has not been studied. The material properties of an elastomer are affected by temperature, and this can shorten the life of the elastomer. In this paper, micro-dimples were applied on the surface of an elastomer in order to reduce the frictional heating, which was experimentally investigated using pin-on-disk apparatus while the surface temperature was measured. To obtain optimal design parameters, the design of the experiment was applied, and the shape of the section, size, depth and density of micro-dimples were selected as the design parameters. The results show that the size of the dimple is the most important design parameter.

        폴리우레탄 마찰면의 발열 저감에 대한 실험적 및 해석적 연구

        This study focuses on enhancing the heat resistance characteristics of thermoplastic polyurethane, an elastomeric material, when microdimples are produced on it to prevent the damage caused by frictional heat. Pin-on-disc experiments are conducted between a steel disc and polyurethane material, wherein dimples with rectangular, trapezoidal, and triangular cross sections are formed on a friction surface. While rotating the disk in oil, the temperature rise value and friction coefficient due to the heat generated on the friction surface were measured. Also, the friction directions for the dimple were set to 45° and 90°, and the effect on the friction direction was observed. The effect of the dimples on frictional heating is evaluated through experiments and finite element analysis. Pressure rise near dimple edge and the maximum normal stress on the friction surface are the important factors that affect heat generation. As friction progresses, the influence of the amount of heat generated by friction loss caused by fluid friction gradually increases.

        Thermal Aging Behavior of H-NBR/NBR Blend

        본 연구는 H-NBR 함량 변화에 따른 H-NBR/NBR 블렌드의 열노화 거동에 대하여 살펴보았다. 이 때 가교제로는 dicumyl peroxide와 황 혼합물을 사용하였으며, 열노화에 따른 H-NBR/NBR 블렌드의 인장강도, 파괴신율, 경도 그리고 내마모성의 변화를 살펴보았다. H-NBR을 첨가함에 따라 인장강도는 증가하였으나 내마모성은 감소하는 현상을 나타내었다. 파괴신율과 경도는 H-NBR의 영향을 받지 않았다. 노화가 진행된 모든 시편은 초기 시편보다 낮은 인장강도, 파괴신율, 경도를 나타내었다. 그러나 H-NBR의 함량이 증가함에 따라 이러한 물성저하 속도가 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 즉 H-NBR 첨가에의해 열노화 특성이 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 모든 NBR/H-NBR 블렌드는 노화시간이 증가함에 따라 내마모성이 감소하였으며, H-NBR을 첨가한 경우 내마모성의 저하가 상대적으로 낮음을 알 수 있었다.         스테인리스 슬라이드 레일의 정밀 롤 포밍을 위한 유한요소해석

        The roll forming process is commonly used for the conventional 'Fe' metal products such as a furniture drawer guide or an up-down slide guide. Recently its applications are variously expanded to the sanitary facilities or electronic devices. It is essentially required the cleanness for the high technology application and any corrosion or rust are not allowed. Therefore, in those applications the stainless steel materials are strongly demanded as the substitution of ‘Fe’ steel. However the mechanical properties of stainless steel are not suitable for forming process compared with those of ‘Fe’ steel. Up to now, the conventional F.E.M.(Finite Element Method) has been used to analyze and design the roll forming process. The purpose of this research is to obtain the proper production process and the shape of rolls to manufacture the high precision slide rails made of stainless steel material. The commercial program, SHARPE-RF, is used to analyze the entire roll forming process. The results show that the rolling process and the roll design by F.E.M. are useful from the good agreement between the shapes of products estimated by F.E.M. and those of the actual products.
