Application of auto-calibration tool of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT) model was evaluated for long-term stream flow simulation from the Samangeum watershed. Hydrologic parameters calibration for basin scale such as Samangeum watershed is quite challenging task since huge variations of hydrologic properties of HRU`s. In this study, the sensitivity analysis of hydrologic parameters was initially conducted to evaluate auto-calibration tool of the SWAT model. The most sensitive parameters were: channel effective hydraulic conductivity(CH_K2), SCS Curve Number II value (CN2), surface runoff lag time(SURLAG), base flow alpha factor (Alpha_Bf), soil evaporation compensation factor(ESCO), and available water capacity (Sol_Awc), respectively. After sensitivity analysis, some important parameters were selected for SWAT model optimization. Calibration of selected parameters was conducted using auto calibration tool of SWAT model over the Saemangeum Watershed. The comparison between the observed and simulated stream flow indicated that there was a good agreement between the observed and simulated discharge, which was verified by coefficient of determination (R2) and Nash Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) greater than 0.5. We found that auto-calibration tool of SWAT model was reliable for the optimization of parameters reflecting Saemangeum Watershed conditions.
하천수내 TOC 농도 추정을 위한 단순회귀모형과 다중회귀모형의 개발과 평가

The objective of this study is to develop and evaluate simple and multiple regression models for Total Organic Carbon (TOC) concentration estimation in stream flow. For development (using water quality data in 2012) and evaluation (using water quality data in 2011) of regression models, we used water quality data from downstream of Yeongsan river basin during 2011 and 2012, and correlation analysis between TOC and water quality parameters was conducted. The concentrations of TOC were positively correlated with Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), TN (Total Nitrogen), Water Temperature (WT) and Electric Conductivity (EC). From these results, simple and multiple regression models for TOC estimation were developed as follows : TOC=0.5809×BOD+3.1557, TOC=0.4365×COD+1.3731. As a result of the application evaluation of the developed regression models, the multiple regression model was found to estimate TOC better than simple regression models.
SWAT-CUP을 이용한 8일간격 유량측정자료의 일유량 확장 가능성 평가

This study is to assess the application of SWAT-CUP (Soil and Water Assessment Tool-Calibration Uncertainty Programs) and to extend daily flow data from 8-day interval flow data which has been measured by Korean Ministry of Environment (MOE). Model sensitivity analysis and calibration were performed with sequential uncertainty fitting (SUIF-2), which is one of the programs interfaced with SWAT, in the package SWAT-CUP. The most sensitive parameters were SOL-Ksol, CH_N2.rte, CN2.mgt, SOL-BD sol, ALPHA-BF gw, ALPHA-BNK rte, SOL-AWC sol, CH_K2.rte, SFTMP bsn, GW-DELAY gw. Following the sensitivity analysis, SWAT-CUP calibration was carried out using 8-day interval flow data from January 2008 to December 2010. The results were then assessed based on the visual agreement and simulated flow plots and the performance statistics generated R2 and NSE which are 0.71 and 0.61 respectively. Results of these statistics indicated that there was a good agreement between the observed and simulated flow. To extend daily flow data from 8-day interval flow data, parameters, which were estimated by SWAT-CUP, re-entered for SWAT model. As a result, the observed flow data were found to reflect the trend of simulated flow data. From these results, it is thought that this method could be used to provide daily flow data using 8-day interval flow data.
농촌유역 유량-유달율 단순회귀식을 이용한 주암호 상류유역의 유달율 추정가능성 평가

The objective of this study is to evaluate Flow Pollutant load delivery ratio equations developed from rural watershed on main subwatersheds within Juam Lake. Two regression equations for BOD and three equations for T P were evaluated on Bosung cheon, Dongbok cheon, Songgwang cheon, Naenam cheon, and Sinpyeon cheon. The results show that estimation of BOD delivery ratio using flow delivery equation is reliable when relative composition of discharge load of pollutant sources of a watershed is similar to those of watershed where the equation developed. On the other hand, application of regression equation for T P was feasible when the landuse pattern and relative composition of discharge load of pollutant sources of a watershed is similar to those of watershed where the equation developed.
