인공지능 스피커(AI 스피커)에 대한 사용자 인식과 이용 동기 요인 연구

본 연구에서는 미디어의 이용과 충족 이론을 토대로 소비자의 AI 스피커의 사용 행태를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 AI 스피커 사용 경험이 있는 국내 소비자 330명을 대상으로 AI 스피커의 속성 인식과 이용의 동기적 요인을 도출하였다. 연구의 결과, 사용자의 AI 스피커 이용 동기 요인은 사회성 유지 및 현실 일탈, 정보습득 및 학습, 유희와 휴식, 유용성 추구의 4개 하위 차원으로 구성되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, AI 스피커 사용자의 연령대는 주로 30대이며, 혁신적 성향이 높은 사용자로 확인되었다. 아울러, AI 스피커 사용 동기요인 중 사회성 유지 및 현실 일탈 요인은 성별과 연령에 따라서, 그리고 정보 습득 및 학습, 유희와 휴식, 유용성 추구 요인은 연령과 혁신성 수준에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구는 AI 스피커의 특성을 반영한 사용자 이용 동기를 도출함으로써 향후 AI 스피커를 활용한 전략적 콘텐츠 운용 및 서비스 제공에 도움이 될 수 있다는 실무적 시사점을 갖는다. This study was conducted to identify the use motivations of AI speaker and examine the characteristics of AI speaker users. Based on the uses and gratifications theory, The study results show that the user motivations of AI speaker are four dimensional, namely escaping from daily problems and maintaining social relationships, information acquisition and learning, entertainment and relaxation and pursuit of practicability. The main AI speaker users are in their 30s, and they are innovative to actively use AI speakers for entertainment purposes such as listening to music. The four sub-dimensions differed as we compared them with user characteristics. Specifically, the motivation for escaping from daily problems and maintaining social relationships varied with gender and age. Moreover, age and informativeness were identified to have an influence on the motivations of information acquisition and learning and entertainment and relaxation. In sum, this research provides practical implications into how to strategically create contents and services for AI speakers.
