As the inverter technology of air-cooled VRF system is developing, the VRF system’s efficiency is improving. The Refrigerant circulating the VRF system can make use of the latent heat, so compared to the coolant of the chiller, the density of the transmitted energy to unit mass is low, and can reduce the conveyance power. Therefore, the VRF system can be the high efficiency system datacenters need. The energy simulation analysis of the air cooled VRF system and the water-cooled chiller system consumes around 9.1% less energy due to its higher efficiency at low partial load conditions.
