In this study, a triple-effect absorption chiller was simulated on the basis of double-effect absorption chiller and their performances were compared. As a result, the triple-effect absorption chiller based on the double-effect absorption chiller has higher performance. By adding two heat exchangers(MTG and LSX), the fuel consumption was reduced by 27%, and the COP was improved by 0.39. Under the assumption that the sum of the UA-value of low and middle temperature generator and that of solution heat exchangers remain constant respectively, an optimal distribution which has the highest performance was obtained. By re-distributing the UA-values, the cooling capacity and the COP were improved by about 0.9%, respectively.
