This study concerns the new strength equation of concrete by Schmidt hammer test. There are not only few estimate strength equations of concrete by nondestructive test, but also many problems to apply them because of time, cost, easiness, structual damage, reliability and so on. For this study, there performed a series of nondestructive test from existing concrete structures and proposed equations as follows ; Linear : fc = 2.22r - 40.85 ( r<sup>2</sup> = 79% ) Quadratic : fc = 0.088r<sup>2</sup> - 3.47r + 46.53 (r<sup>2</sup> = 88%) here, fc : estimated compressive strength of concrete by MPa, r : Rebound index of concrete by △R.

This study concerns the experimental mechanical characteristics of concrete damaged by thermal effect. Test factors are the heating time-temperature and test levels are 30, 60 and 120 minutes’ exposure under standard time-temperature relationships. Test results are as follows : (1) The reduction rates of strength of damaged concrete are 22%, 70% and 84% according to the exposed time of 30, 60 and 120 minutes respectively (2) The reduction rates of elasticity of damaged concrete are 83%, 96% 98% according to the exposed time of 30, 60 and 120minutes respectively (3) Poisson's ratio increases due to the effect of amounts of exposed time under higer tempernture

This study concerns the experimental mechanical characteristics of reinforced concrete beams damaged by the thermal effect. Test factors are the heating time and temperature and test levels are 30, 60 and 120 minutes’ exposure under standard time-temperature relationships. Test results are as follows : (1) The max deflection rates of damaged RC beams are 11.5%, 13% and 11% according to the exposed time of 30, 60, 120 minutes respectively. (2) The reduction rates of strength capacity of damaged RC beams are 5%, 13.8% and 21.3% according to the exposed time of 30, 60 and 120minutes. (3) The ductility of damaged RC beams decrease according to the exposed time. (4) The slips of damaged RC beams increase according to the exposed time.

This paper concerns the seismic performance of high-rise concrete shear wall buildings with piloti and discontinuity. We could evaluate the performance levels of life safety, allowable shear stress and plastic hinge occurrence through the seismic performance assessment procedures. We could grade up the seismic performance level with seismic rehabilitation technique.

JSP method was used in reinforcing pile foundation that has insufficient bearing capacity and line effect was evaluated by load test. The result shows that 1tie bearing capacity of the pile foundation reinforced by JSP method was increased by 20% or more. And, when pile foundation is constructed by preboring method, usage of cement paste or through performance of last driving procedure is necessary.
