시판 밀가루 들을 가래떡에 첨가하여 노화를 지연시키는 최적 농도를 확인하였다. 밀가루 첨가에 따른 가래떡의 노화 지연효과는 모든 시판 밀가루에서 거의 유사하게 나타나 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 한편 가래떡의 노화를 지연시킬 수 있는 밀가루의 최적 첨가량으로 알려져 있는 0.7% (w/w)는 냉장 혹은 냉동 보관이 아닌 상온 보관 시 3일 이후부터는 가래떡의 형태를 유지하지 못하고 분해되는 문제로 인해 적합하지 못한 첨가량으로 나타났다. 추가적으로 최적 첨가량을 확인한 결과 0.2% (w/w) 첨가가 경도와 외관을 종합적으로 고려하였을 때 상온 저장 시 가장 적합한 농도로 판단되었다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the retardation effect of commercial wheat flours on starch retrogradation using a model system, the rice cake (garaetteok). Rice cakes were prepared with four different commercial wheat flours in various concentrations (0.1-0.7%). The rice cakes were vacuum-packed and stored for 4 days at room temperature. The rice cakes containing > 0.3% wheat flour were not able to maintain their original appearance due to enzymatic decomposition, whereas the rice cakes containing 0.1% wheat flour did not reveal any retrogradation-retardation effect. Garaetteok containing 0.2% wheat flour maintained its shape well and showed considerably lower hardness than that of the control, thereby demonstrating a retrogradation-retardation effect. The commercial wheat flours clearly showed the retardation effect on starch retrogradation, and thus, it is important to use a proper amount. On the other hand, the retrogradation-retardation effect of the different wheat flours was not significantly altered possibly due to the same origin of wheat grain.

In this study, we simulated the atrial arrhythmia numerically. By using electro-physiological model of atrial cell from Nygren et al. and applying reaction-diffusion partial differential equation, we simulated electrical conduction in atrium. A 3-D mesh system representing the human atrium was reconstructed from the surface geometry of atrium. We used a stimulus in the form of an archetype around pulmonary vessels in the left atrium to cause the atrial arrhythmia. The septal atrial tarchycardia was developed after the stimulus.

In this paper, we have developed a virtual atrium model for electric conduction analysis. The atrium model is based on three-dimensional geometry, incorporating both the left and right atria the major muscle bundle of the atria. It also includes the crista terminal, pectinate muscle, limbus of the fossa ovalis, and Bachmann's bundle. The human myocyte model proposed by Nygren et al.(1998) for cellular biodynamics is used to simulate the electro-physiological phenomena of a cardiac cell. The excitation propagation from SA node to atrial cell is computed in the 3D cardiac tissue using a simplified bidomain method. We have analyzed the electric conduction pattern in human atrium and compared the results with the existing ones.

In coronary artery disease, aortic valve may have a critical effect for stenosed coronary flow. Vortex formed by the aortic valve in sinus valsalva increases coronary flow. Therefore, we have built up coronary artery model containing aortic valve. For this purpose, coronary 3D model with the aortic valve was made based on anatomical shape. Then, we developed lumped parameter model of coronary circulation. Blood is assumed incompressible and Newtonian fluid. Finite element analysis was performed for Navier-Stokes equation. Then we compared the hemodynamic charateristics of the models with and without aortic valve.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the SCN1A variants in Korean patients with Dravet syndrome. Methods: We conducted a retrospective study of clinically confirmed thirty-nine patients with Dravet syndrome who visit our hospital from January 2007 to May 2015. We analyzed the SCN1A variants by direct sequencing. We analyzed and classified SCN1A variants according to ACMG/AMP (American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics and the Association for Molecular Pathology) guideline. Results: : A total thirty-nine patients (female 22, male 17) were included. Among them, twenty patients (51.2%) with Dravet syndrome had pathogenic or likely pathogenic SCN1A mutations including fifteen truncating mutations (12 nonsense and 3 splice region mutations), 5 missense mutations. The remained variants in nineteen patients with Dravet syndrome classified into ten variants of unknown significances, and 9 benign variants. In our study, truncation mutations are located whole span of SCN1A protein, while half of missense mutations are located at higher density on pore loop (S5-S6) regions. Conclusion: Unlike previous known study, lower positive rate of SCN1A mutation of Dravet syndrome was revealed in our study. The importance of parental test (trio test) and other additional tests have been emphasized. 목적: 이 연구는 드라베 증후군으로 진단받은 소아 환자들을 대상으로 SCN1A 돌연변이의 특성에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법: 2007년 1월부터 2015년 5월까지 임상적으로 드라베 증후군으로 확진된 환자 39명을 대상으로 후향적 연구를 진행하였다. SCN1A 변이는 직접 염기 서열 분석법을 이용하여 분석하였고 ACMG/AMP 가이드라인에 따라 분류하였다. 결과: 39명의 환자가 포함되었으며 여아는 22명, 남아는 17명이었다. 총 20명(51.2%)의 드라베 증후군 환자에서 SCN1A 병적 돌연변이가 발견되었으며 그 중 15명이 결절 돌연변이, 5명이 과오 돌연변이를 가지고 있었다. 나머지 19명의 드라베 증후군 환자들은 10명에서 임상적 의미를 알 수 없는 변이가 관찰되었고 9명에서 양성 소견을 가지고 있었다. 결절 돌연변이는 SCN1A 단백질의 전체 구역에 분포하고 있지만, 과오 돌연변이는 pore loop (S5-S6) regions에 좀 더 높은 비율로 위치하고 있었다. 결론: 기존의 연구와 달리 본 연구에서는 드라베 증후군 환자의 SCN1A 돌연변이의 양성률이 낮게 나왔다. 부모 검사(trio test) 및 추가적인 검사의 중요성이 강조된다.
