본 연구는 유아 한국춤 교육에 대한 무용전공자의 관심도, 필요성, 효과성 인식을 조사하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 서울특별시에 소재한 전문대 이상 4년제 대학에 재학 중이거나 졸업한 무용전공자 300명을 연구대상으로 선정하였으며 최종 분석에는 총289개의 자료가 사용되었다. 자료처리는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 일원변량분석을 실시하였다. 이상의 방법과 절차에 따른 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아 한국춤 교육에 대한 무용전공자의 전공별에 따른 관심도, 필요성, 효과성 인식은 모두 한국무용 전공자가 발레, 현대무용 전공자에 비하여 높게 나타났다. 이는 한국춤을 직접적인 체험과 경험을 통해 배워 본 전공자가 우리 고유의 한국춤에 대한 긍정적 인식을 가짐으로써 나타난 결과로 판단된다. 둘째, 유아무용 교육경험 유무에 따른 관심도, 필요성 인식은 유경험자가 높게 나타났으나, 효과성 인식은 교육경험 유무와 무관하게 보통 이상으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 한국춤 동작과 호흡이 유아들의 신체적, 정서적 발달과 사회적 효과를 높일 수 있다고 인식하고 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다. This study aimed to investigate dance majors’ perceptions of the Korean traditional dance education for preschoolers in terms of interest, necessity and effectiveness. To achieve this goal, 300 dance majors, who were in attendance or graduated from a college or a 4-year university in Seoul, were selected as subjects of study. 289 data in total were used for final data processing. SPSS 18.0 program were used to carry out frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and One-way ANOVA. The results of research with the above methods and procedures were as follows: First, the dance majors’ perceptions of their interest, necessity and effectiveness in Korean traditional dance education for preschoolers were higher than modern dance and ballet. This might result from the impact of the positive perceptions of Korean traditional dance through their immediate career and experience. Second, the perceptions of its interest, necessity by whether they had an experience of dance education for preschoolers were also higher in those with some experience. However, it turned out that there was no statistical difference in the perceptions of its effectiveness between those with experience and those without experience based on whether they had any experience of dance education for preschoolers. There finding represented that they perceived that motions and breathing in Korean traditional dance would be helpful for their physical and emotional developments. Also, they had perceptions based on their experience of communal Korean traditional dance.
