The purpose of this study is to improve the performance of gasoline engine. Combustion-characteristics orignated from supplying cylinder with fuel-air mixture which was formed by the rise of oxygenconcentration in air with oxygen-enriching membrane have been investigated.<br/> The results showed that the poor-limit of oxygen-concentration was increased by shortening combustion-duration because the rise of oxygen-concentration in fuel-air mixture resulted in the promotion of combustion-velocity. Also, the generation of large output of power was expected from combustion in proportion as the amount of oxygen was increased.

『Technology Development Consortium Consisting of Industrial, Academic and Research Institutions』driven by government since 1993 has played an important role in the use of the research personnel and facilities of universities (or research institutions) and development of technologies much needed at production facilities of SMEs. From now on, based on the results of both economic and non-economic performance analysis, we need to aim our efforts at increasing not only investment efficiency but also substantiality. To this end, in this paper, we inquire into the history of promoting consortiums and development task, and investigate and analyze the accomplishment of our university during past 10 years. Finally, from those results, we discover key factors which help to promote a successful cooperation among the industries, universities and research institutions.

This Paper presents numerical solutions of the Euler equations for supersonic unsteady flows in a two-dimensional simple Scramjet model with heat addition. The Van Leer FVS(flux vector splitting) method in generalized coordinates is employed in order to calculate inviscid strong shock waves caused by thermal choking. Results show that the adverse pressure gradient induced by heat addition brings about formation of the normal shock wave and the specific thrust decreases with fluctuation. We prove that thermal choking is a serious problem for engine Performance.

This study was conducted to execute study on development of a implement for gathering and binding the rice straw of original state which is not bent and broken in the paddy field. The annual yield of the rice straw in our country is 7,000,000 ton and over. If the rice straw is gathered, bound as original state which is not bent, broken in the paddy field, its usage and value shall be widen, heighten as much as that. Therefore the survey and the analysis on about the physio-chemical characteristic, production and usage of the rice straw had been performed. The criterion on development and design of the prototype had established through the theoretical and structural analysis of the component parts. And the more reasonable, reliant prototype had developed with this criterion. The basis performance test and the field performance test of the prototype had been executed, therefore its performance and optimal working conditions were established and the results were presented.

This study was development of soil adherent preventing device for farming rotary. Because, in case that soil adhere to the upper/lower cover of farming rotary, the required power of tillage operation is increase. And was development the measuring device of the required power of tillage for the measurement of required power in performance testing. The result of the study are summaried as follows: (1) The high density polyethylene plate was attached to the upper/lower cover of farming rotary for the prevention of the increase of required power. (2) The measuring device of required power was developed for performance test of the developed soil adhere preventing device. (3) The result of performance test showed that the required power of tillage operation was reduced to 12.2%.

This study was conducted to test the performance of the existing rotary blade for farming tractor. The tilling load of each rotary blade was measured, analyzed in accordance with working speed and plowing depth, respectively. The results of the study are summaried as follow: (1) The mean hardness of artificial soil bin was 3.18kgf/cm^(2) and (2) among the three makers' rotary blades, B maker's rotary blade showed the minimum tilling load, the measured minimum tilling load was 6.36∼10.02kg·m by working speed and plowing depth.
