In Korea, the occurrence and risk of similar fires are high, so setting up fire prevention measures through fire case investigation is considered the most basic measure in securing human safety. In particular, calculation of evacuation capacity in evacuation safety design of buildings is the most important factor that directly affects evacuation safety performance. However domestic standards is not consider about occupant characteristics. also the case of domestic, it has the problem that the law is partially applied when the fire safety design of buildings. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to study the current status and related regulations of the life safety code for the application of high fire risk buildings, and to analyze the difference in evacuation time through Case Study.

Recently, construction projects are gradually becoming high-rise and large-scale, and furthermore, the use of new buildings is emerging through the deepening of the underground. In this situation, a lot of fire damage has occurred in recent years, mainly in buildings and tunnel structures. In particular, damages caused by fires during large-scale construction projects such as freezing warehouse accidents are increasing. In this situation, in Korea, it is still trying to secure safety from human fire through the administrative system divided into the building law and the fire law, but it is being developed in a negative direction rather than a positive direction. The fire risk is getting bigger even when the road is not maintained. In this current situation, it is considered that the development of a Korean integrated life safety code centering on the consciousness base of Koreans will be necessary, and in particular, the ease of revision will also be needed by promoting the integrated safety code rather than current laws and regulations. This is a summary of the future tasks.

There is a need to analyze various factors in evacuation safety assessment of building in fire. In the current performance based design, evacuation safety assessment in case of fire is being conducted through the simulation as FDS and Pathfinder. However, the location and size of the door, the location of evacuation in the event of a fire are not considered when design. Accordingly, it is difficult to determine the worst case scenario considering the actual fire. Therefore in this study, in this study, we will propose an appropriate evaluation plan through simulation considering the worst-case scenario that may occur in case of fire.

If there is a strong wind in fire, fire is rapidly increased by various fire spread factors. And Korea cannot build prediction model of urban fire combustion phenomena because there is no studies that physically explains the suitable flame phenomena for its real state. In this study, based on the Japanese Urban fire simulation to target the traditional market area and suitability of fire risk assessment were reviewed.

In Korea, in the case of fire scenarios in performance design, it is assumed that the sprinkler is not working. In addition, it does not applicate various fire conditions. Therefore it is not enough that the accuracy about fire scenario. In foreign countries, reseach is being conducted to predict the casualities that can occur due to fire in the building space through statistical risk analysis. Also, research is consistently conducting for design that consider the sprinker probability of operation. Therefore, to analyze the fire risk of each building in Korea, the risk was analyzed using statistical data. As a result, the risk of casualties that can occur for each building use was analyzed as 0.6(persons/cases) for residential buildings, 0.25(persons/cases) for sales facilities, and 0.12(persons/cases) for buisiness facilities.

최근 우리나라는 건축물화재가 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며 지진으로 인한 화재 위험성 또한 증가하고 있다. 이러한 건축물화재는 화재경계지구 등 화재에 취약한 도심지에서 발생 시 대규모 시가지 화재로 확대될 위험성이 있다. 하지만 현재 이에 대한 위험성 평가 및 대응책에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 일본의 도시화재 위험성 평가기법의 분석 및 적용성 검토를 통해 우리나라의 도시화재 위험성 평가기법구축을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.
