충남대표도서관의 운영성과와 새로운 도약을 위한 발전방안 연구

This study aimed to establish the 2nd Comprehensive Library Development Plan (2024~2028) for Chungnam Library as a metropolitan representative library to enhance the quality of life for the province’s residents through library service development and provide comprehensive and systematic support for public libraries in the province. To achieve this, a diagnosis and analysis of libraries in Chungcheongnam-do, an analysis of the policy environment in Chungcheongnam-do, and a future policy environment outlook for libraries were conducted. Ultimately, the study proposed the mission, vision, goals, implementation strategies, and action plans for the 2nd Comprehensive Library Development Plan for Chungcheongnam-do. Firstly, the mission was proposed as “Leading the future ‘knowledge and cultural values’ by embracing the people of Chungcheongnam-do.” Secondly, the vision was suggested as “An inclusive space that leads the knowledge and culture of the future.” The goals include: 1) Creating an inclusive library environment accessible to everyone, 2) Providing library services that embrace the community, 3) Operating the library to realize knowledge and cultural values, 4) Developing library infrastructure to lead the future, and 5) Strengthening community exchange and cooperation networks.

세종시립도서관의 정보서비스 및 이용자 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

Sejong City Library information services and programs proposed in this study are proposed by combining cases of local representative libraries and overseas libraries. As a feature of the proposal, first, various information services that can be provided by the Sejong City Library are proposed by area, by user, by data type, by media, by partner institution, etc. Second, by reinforcing user programs for each life cycle, various reading programs by age and interest, such as reading discussion, reading experience, and reading events, are provided. Reinforce user-based programs that reflect the characteristics of Sejong City’s population, such as adult, child, and family programs. Third, secure and utilize maker space space. Fourth, the reading program developed by the Sejong City Library is promoted and shared in cooperation with local libraries. Fifth, induce participation of local residents in Sejong City, volunteer activities and talent donation. Sixth, propose library information services using library websites and social media, and develop channels for mutual cooperation with users. 본 연구에서 제안되는 세종시립도서관 정보서비스 및 프로그램은 국내 지역대표도서관 및 해외도서관 사례들을 종합하여 제안한다. 제안의 특징으로 첫째, 세종시립도서관에서 제공가능한 정보서비스를 영역별, 이용자별, 자료 유형별, 매체별, 협력기관별 등으로 다양하게 제안한다. 둘째, 생애주기별 이용자프로그램을 강화하여 독서토론, 독서체험, 독서 이벤트 등의 다양한 연령별․관심별 독서 프로그램을 제공한다. 성인, 어린이, 가족프로그램 등 세종시 인구 특성을 반영한 이용자 기반의 프로그램을 강화한다. 셋째, 메이커스페이스 공간을 확보하여 활용한다. 넷째, 세종시립도서관에서 개발한 독서 프로그램을 지역 도서관과 협력하여 홍보 및 공유한다. 다섯째, 세종시 지역주민의 봉사 활동 및 재능 기부 등의 참여를 유도한다. 여섯째, 도서관 웹사이트, 소셜 미디어 등을 활용한 도서관 정보서비스를 제안하고, 이용자와의 상호 협력 채널을 개발한다.

충청남도 공공도서관 보존서고 분석에 기초한 공동보존자료관 운영에 관한 연구

In this study, a study on the cooperative system of the Chungnam Library's joint preservation data center and a plan for the construction of the use service was proposed based on the analysis of the current status of the preservation library of the Chungcheongnam-do public library. In order to establish a cooperative plan for the joint preservation archive and to promote the provision of services, the current state of the collection of 62 public libraries in Chungnam-do and the status of the preservation archives that are operating separately were identified. As a result of the study, it was found that all matters related to the operation of the joint preservation archive should be made through agreements or consultations between the participants, and the operation of the joint preservation archive should also be made under a systematic cooperation system between the participants. To this end, it is necessary to establish a cooperative system for the Chungnam Library Joint Preservation Archives, and to form and operate the Joint Preservation Archives Steering Committee, a consultative body (cooperation network). In addition, all matters related to the operation of the Joint Preservation Archive, such as transfer criteria, must be regulated and implemented through consultation with the Joint Preservation Archive Steering Committee. 본 연구에서는 충청남도 공공도서관 보존서고 현황 분석을 기반으로 한 충남도서관 공동보존자료관의 협력체계 및 이용서비스 구성 방안에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 공동보존자료관의 협력 방안 구축과 서비스 제공 활성화를 도모하기 위해, 현재 충남도내 공공도서관 62개관의 장서 현황과 개별적으로 운영하고 있는 보존서고 현황을 파악하였다. 연구 결과, 공동보존자료관 운영과 관련된 제반 사항은 참여주체간의 협정 또는 협의에 의해 의사결정이 이루어져야 하며, 이와 더불어 공동보존자료관의 운영 또한 참여 주체간의 체계적 협력체계 하에서 이루어져야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 위해 충남도서관 공동보존자료관은 협력체계를 구축하고, 협의체(협력네트워크)인 공동보존자료관 운영위원회를 구성하여 운영할 필요성이 있다. 또한, 이관기준 등 공동보존자료관 운영과 관련된 제반 사항은 공동보존자료관 운영위원회의 협의를 통해 규정화하여 시행하여야 한다.

ISA를 적용한 국회전자도서관 품질 평가와 개선방안 수립

The goal of this study was to examine ways to improve the quality of databases of the Korean National Assembly Digital Library(KNADL). In order to achieve the goal, we first designed an assessment tool that could measure the quality of the ‘contents,’ the ‘service,’ and the ‘system’ of the KNADL’s databases. Each of the three categories also had sub-categories-i.e., eight sub-categories for ‘contents’(e.g., accuracy, recency, …), seven sub-categories for ‘service’(e.g., convenience for request, rapid response, …), and seven sub-categories for ‘system’(e.g., usability, response time, …). We thenconducted a survey using the assessment tool we developed and gathered a total of 270 responses from users of KNADL’s databases. We used Excel and PASW Statistics 18 for data analysis. Each sub-category was measured by its importance and by the level of satisfaction(implemented from the DigiQUAL project). Finally, we performed an importance-satisfaction analysis(ISA) to identify what action(i.e., maintain, concentrate, low priority, and exceed) needs to be made in each sub-category. We concluded the paper with some useful suggestions for improving the quality of KNADL’s databases. 본 연구는 국회전자도서관의 품질을 평가하고 개선방안을 수립하기 위하여 평가 도구를 설계하여 품질을 측정하였고, 개선방안 도출을 위해 ISA(Importance-Satisfaction Analysis) 기법을 적용하였다. 국회전자도서관 품질 평가 도구는 선행연구들에 기반하여 콘텐츠, 서비스, 그리고 시스템의 품질 차원으로 구성하였고 각 차원의 세부적인 항목은 선행연구 및 이용자들의 요구사항 분석을 통해 설계되었다. 각 세부 항목에 대한 측정지표에는 DigiQUAL에서 사용하고 있는 중요도와 만족도가 사용되었다. 국회전자도서관 품질 평가는 질문지법을 통해 수집된 이용자 270명의 응답을 사용하여 Excel 2007과 PASW Statistics 18로 분석하였다. 그리고 측정된 품질 평가 값을 사용하여 국회전자도서관 개선방안 수립을 위해 ISA기법을 적용하였고 그 결과 국회전자도서관 품질 차원 및 세부항목들 중에서 유지, 집중, 저순위, 그리고 과잉 품질 영역을 도출하였다.

어린이.청소년 디지털도서관 설계에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to show important considerations when we develop digital library though reviewing and analyzing the digital libraries for the children and youth. The research targets are ICDL and LG Scienceland which are functioning as the digital libraries. The research methods are literary reviews for theory background and analysis of distinctive features from two webpages. As a result of the research. some suggestions for the navigation. labeling. searching. design and interface, content and new technologies that can be employed are made.

청소년 대상 과학분야 디지털도서관 구축을 위한 관련 사이트 분석 및 평가에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to design a digital library model which can provide integrated services of science information for the youth and evaluate usability. Forty domestic and foreign science websites for the youth were examined and categorized by service features. Based on the results of the examination, a science digital library was maded. And then, web log file analysis and heuristic evaluation by science experts were conducted. The results of web log file showed that users applied the most of search terms at the subject classification and words with high frequency was related to the science curriculum. In heuristic evaluation, this integrated science information system was convenient for use and expected as a valuable system which could be the science gateway for the youth by increasing the amount of contents in the future. 본 연구는 청소년들에게 과학정보의 통합적인 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 디지털도서관의 모형을 구축하여 사용성 평가를 하는데 있다. 연구방법은 국내외 청소년 과학사이트 40개를 조사하여 서비스별로 단위화 및 공통된 유형으로 범주화하였다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 청소년 대상 과학정보 디지털도서관을 구축하여 로그파일 분석과 과학 전문가들의 발견평가를 통한 사용성 평가를 하였다. 로그파일 분석 결과 이용자들은 주제별 분류검색에서 가장 많은 검색어를 사용하였으며, 이용 빈도가 높은 검색어는 대부분 과학 교과목과 관련된 단어들이었다. 발견평가에서 과학정보 통합 시스템으로 이용자에게 편리한 이용 환경을 제공하고 있으며, 향후 컨텐츠의 보강 등으로 청소년들의 과학정보 길잡이 역할을 할 수 있는 유용한 시스템으로 기대하였다.

충남도서관 공동보존자료관 운영정책 수립을 위한 사서 인식조사 연구

지역대표도서관은 도서관의 보존공간 부족 문제 해결을 위해 공동보존자료관을 설치하고 있다. 본 연구는 지역 대표도서관인 충남도서관 공동보존자료관의 구체적인 운영정책 및 추진방안 마련을 위해 공공도서관 사서를 대상으로 설문조사와 FGI 방법으로 인식조사를 실시하였다. 이를 토대로 공동보존자료관의 목표인 인쇄자료와 디지털자료의 공동보존 및 활용에 맞는 운영정책 및 추진방안을 제안하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 충남도서관 공동보존자료관에서는 참여 도서관의 보존공간 상황과 수요를 고려하여 우선적으로 단행본과 연속간행물을 소유권과 함께 우선적으로 이전해야한다. 둘째, 신속하고 편리한 공동보존자료관 운영을 위하여 전체 참여 도서관이 이용할 수 있는 운영관리시스템을 구축하고 클라우드 기반의 통합자료관리스템과 연계해야 한다. 셋째, 공동보존자료관에서 디지털화가 필요하다고 판단된 자료의 디지털화 및 아카이빙 방안 등을 제안하였다.

청소년의 과학적 소양 향상을 위한 문제해결 모형 개발 연구

본 연구의 목적은 미래 과학지식사회의 주역인 청소년의 과학에 대한 이해와 활용능력을 높이는 과학적 소양의 향상 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 과학적 소양은 현대사회에서 꼭 필요하다는 주장이 많은 지지를 받고 있으며, 이에 따라 국내외에 다양한 프로그램이 개발되고 있다. 특히 미국의 ‘프로젝트 2061’은 과학적인 프로세스를 통하여 문제 해결력을 키워 평생학습을 유도하려는 것으로 모든 미국인들이 과학, 수학, 기술영역의 소양을 함양하도록 지원하고 있다. 청소년의 과학적 소양 향상을 위해서는 과학에 대한 호기심과 흥미를 유발하는 정보서비스뿐만 아니라 학교 수업과 연계된 콘텐트 개발이 무엇보다 중요하다. 또한 과학적 문제 해결력을 배양하기 위한 단계별 문제해결 프로그램의 개발이 필요하며, 과학정보 소양으로 통합된 교육과 연구가 진행되어야 한다. This study aims to find methods to improve the scientific literacy of the youth, which comprise the group who will lead the upcoming era of knowledge and science. To do this, the study focuses on improving the youth's understanding of science and their ability to utilize it. It is widely recognized that scientific literacy is highly essential in this era of scientific revolution and innovations. Accordingly, various kinds of programs are being developed in Korea and other countries. In particular, ‘Project 2061' is designed to enable a permanent learning system by improving problem-solving ability through the scientific process. This system plays an important role in supporting the Americans' pursuit of increased literacy in the fields of science, mathematics, and engineering. To improve the scientific literacy of young people, content development in relation with school courses as well as information services that arouse interest and curiosity in the field of science is very important. In addition, it is necessary to develop a problem-solving program by stages. Further studies focusing on methods of improving scientific literacy of the youth are recommended.

온라인 디지털자료의 납본 가이드라인에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 온라인 디지털자료의 망라적 수집과 보존 그리고 접근을 지속적으로 보장하기 위하여 온라인 디지털자료의 납본에 대한 국내․외 법령 및 사례를 참고하고, 국내의 납본 이해 당사자인 저작권 소유․유관 단체 및 기업, 이용자, 그리고 납본 관련 전문가의 자문을 수렴하여 온라인 디지털자료의 납본 가이드라인을 제시하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 납본기관이 납본 받아야 할 범위를 규정한 납본 범위에서 납본 불이행 시 납본주체에 대한 제재까지 총 14개의 가이드라인을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is to suggest elements and guidelines for online digital materials in order to ensure its comprehensive collection, preservation, and access in Korea. For the establishment of elements and guidelines, this study examined appropriate advanced countries’ legal deposit Acts, discussed with stakeholders, including experts and copyrighters in related areas, and surveyed library users’ opinions. Finally, this study suggests 14 elements and guidelines.

오픈액세스 리포지터리의 사용성 평가에 관한 연구

오픈액세스 리포지터리는 법적, 경제적, 기술적 장벽 없이 전 세계 이용자 누구라도 자유롭게 무료로 정보에 접근할 수 있도록 생산자와 이용자가 정보를 공유할 수 있는 지식정보 저장소를 의미한다. 본 연구에서는 기관 리포지터리(dCollection, DSpace@MIT)와 주제별 리포지터리(arXiv, PubMed Central)로 구분하여 각 리포지터리에서 제공하는 기능분석과 비교를 실시하였고 분석된 자료를 기초로 이용자 중심의 사용성 평가를 실시하였다. 정보에 대한 자유로운 접근과 공유가 중요시 되는 웹 2.0시대라 불리고 있는 현 시점에서, 오픈액세스 리포지터리에 대한 사용성 평가를 실시함으로서 향후 구축되는 리포지터리 개발에 기초자료가 될 수 있다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다. The open access repository means the knowledge information repository for the producer and the user to share in order for all users of the world to freely access the information free of charge with no legal, economic and technological barrier. This study analyzes and compares the functions offered by each repository by classifying the repository into the organizational repository (dCollection, DSpace@MIT) and the thematic repository (arXiv, PubMed Central) and evaluates the user-centered usability based on the analyzed data. This study at the current times, so called as the Web 2.0 era in which the free access and sharing of the information is important, can be said to have the meaning that the result from the usability evaluation on the open access repository will be used as the fundamental data for developing the future repository.
