        토끼 출혈병의 병리학적 관찰

        Pathological findings of natural cases of rabbit hemorrhagic disease was investigated. Clinically inappentence, increase in body temperature, depression, bloody foam from nostrils, and sudden death were recognized. Characteristic anatomical findings were hemorrhages in the lungs, liver, kidneys, and heart. Intestinal catarrh nd retention of turbid urine in urinary bladder were also often observed. Severe necrosis of hepatic cells, massive hemorrhages in many organs and membranous glomerulonephritis with hyaline droplet formation were characteristic changes under the microscopy. Perivascular cuffing of brain and catarrhal enteritis were also seen in many cases.

        Hog Cholera 病豚의 病變出現에 關한 觀察

        The persent investigation was focussed on the observations of the gross lesions of 30 pigs naturally infected with hog cholera from two cases. The gross lesions of 27 pigs in case No. 1 were pneumonic ecchymosis(77.7%), pneumonia(48.1%). renal petechiation(44.4%), cystic petechiation(44.4%). hemorrhage of larynx and epiglottis(40.7%). large intestinal hemorrhage(37.0%), splenic infarction(37.0%), peripheral hemorrhage of lymph nodes (29.6%), epicardial hemorrhage(25.9%), gastritis-hemorrhage(18.5%), colitis and cecitis(18.5%), small intestinal hemorrhage(14.8%), exudative conjunctivitis(11.1%), erythema(11.1%). subcutaneous hemorrhage(11.1%), diffsue hemorrhage of lymph nodes(7.4%), hemorrhage of tonsil(7.4%) and hydrothorax (3.7%).

        닭의 정자선(精子腺) 기능(機能) 향상(向上)을 위한 연구(硏究) 2. 정자(精子) 저장(貯藏) 상태에 대하여

        The purpose of this study was designed to investigate the methods for the functional elevations of sperm-host (utero-vaginal, U-V) glands in domestic hens. The laying hens were assigned to five groups of low-, medium-, high- fecundity, gonadotrophin-, and caffeinetreated hen groups, these group hens were sacrified at interval after last artificial inseminations (AI). Number of U-V gland observed in tissue preparation of each hen U-V region were investigated, and also the appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands were calculated. 1. In low-fecundity hen groups, the appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands were found to be 13.5, 15.6, 11.8, 13.6, 2.3, 0, and 0% respectively at the hens of 1, 3, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19 days after AI. 2. In medium-fecunditiy hen groups, the appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands were found to be 21.7, 22.7, 13.4, 10.4, 10.0, 7.7 and 0% respectively at the hens of 1, 3, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19 days after AI. 3. In high-fecundity hen groups, the appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands were found to be 30.8, 31.8, 28.9, 13.0, 10.3, 10.8, and 0.9 respectively at the hen of 1, 3, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19 days after AI. 4. In gonadotrophin-treated hen groups, the appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands were found to be 31.8, 33.7, 32.3, 17.3, 12.0, 5.0, and 1.0% respectively at hens of 1, 3, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19 days after AI. 5. In caffeine-treated hen groups, the appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands were found to be 33.2, 29.2, 22.4, 17.8, 12.7, 0, and 1.1% respectively at hens of 1, 3, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19 days after AI. 6. The appearance rates of completely filled U-V glands and partially filled U-V glands of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands were found to be 3.8:1. So we suggested as follows: The appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained glands tend to be high from 1 day after AI to 7 days and tend to declined rapidly from 10 days. Also higher fecundity hen groups tend to be higher in the appearance rates and longer in spermatozoa-contained duration in U-V glands than in lower fecundity hen groups. Gonadotrophin hormone tend to increase the appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands than those in control group, whereas caffeine tend to increase those rates at 1 day and to declined more rapidly from 3 day than in control group.

        항암제 cyclophosphamide가 diethylnitrosamine에 의한 랫드 간암에 미치는 조직학적 영향

        This study was designed to evaluate the effect of cyclophosphamide(CY) on diethylnitrosamine(DEN)-induced hepatic tumors in rats. Thirty five male or female Sprague Dawley rats were continiously given water containing 0.01% DEN for 10 weeks and then were given with CY 25mg/rat/day in water for 3, 5, 7 or 9 days. The livers of rats were removed and fixed in 10% buffered neutral formalin. he appearances of positive cells by immunohistochemical methods using proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) antibody, p53 antibody and apoptotic kit were investigated. The livers of rats given with CY were grossly brilliant, red-brown color, flexible, and thin border, and stainability of the liver cells were restored microscopically, and the vaccuolated and degenerated regions were differentiated from restored regions. These restored findings also were advanced in control group because of no DEN treatment but tended to be less avanced. In immunohistochemistry, positive cells to PCNA antibody appeared more numerous in control groups than that of CY treated groups. Appearance of positive cells in CY-treated group for 7 days and for 9 days were more numerous than those of CY-treated groups for 3 days and for 5 days, respectively. So these findings suggested that CY suppressed cell proliferations and effects of these action were decreased with CY-treated days. The numbers of positive cells to PCNA antibody were more prominent in hepatocellular carcinoma regions and cholangiocarcinoma regions, and then were ranked as order of large liver cell regions and normal liver cell regions. Also the numbers of the positive cells by apoptotic kit tended to be higher in hepatocellular carcinoma regions and cholangiocarcinoma regions but not uniformly in order in all regions and were much less numbers than those of PCNA positive cells. So immunohistochemical methods using PCNA antibody together than using apoptotic kit alone when anti-carcinogen experiments. Rats with positive cells by p53 antibody were 11 of 15 rats(73.4%) in control groups and 12 of 18 rats(66.7%) in CY treated group, respectively. These positive cells appeared focally in early vacuole-occurring regions and were very low in numbers.

        Mice에서 D-galactosamine과 lipolysaccharide의 유도에 의한 간장의 apoptosis

        Experimental induction of apoptosis by bacterial lipopolysacchardie is useful for understanding the role of apoptosis cell death in clinical endotoxin shock or septic shock. Thirty three mice were injected intraperitoneally with D-galactosamine (20mg) and lipopolysac-charide ($5{\mu}g$) per mouse. Five to eight mice per each experimental group were sacrificed at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hrs post administration. The cells with apoptotic bodies in H-E stained sections were investigated histologically. Development of the apoptotic bodies in livers was observed in 11 of 33 mice (33.3%). These cells were diffusely or collectively appeared only in liver but not observed in kidney, thymus and spleen. Mean percentage of the cells with apoptotic bodies in the livers were 0.32, 4.34 and 5.50% respectively at 6, 12, and 24 hrs post administration. But percentage of these apoptotic cells were fairly less in 48 and 72 hrs post administration. The percentages of cells with 3 to 9 apoptotic bodies per cell were 70~90% of all apoptotic cells. The cells with more apoptotic bodies than limit number at 12 to 72 hrs post administration were belived to be necrosed. The percentage of positive cells by TUTNEL methods were 0.00~0.08, 0.00~052, 1.63~4.18, 12.41~20.21 respectively at control, 6, 12 and 24 and less than 0.01% at 48 and 72 hrs. The above results suggest that development of liver cell apoptosis by lipopolysaccharide ($5{\mu}g$) and D-glatosamine (20mg) was less at 6 hrs and markedly increased at 12 to 24 hrs and then was fairly less at 48 and 72 hrs post administration.

        닭의 정자선(精子腺) 기능향상(機能向上)을 위한 연구(硏究) 3. 자궁질(子宮窒) 접합부선(接合部腺)과 난관(卵管) 누두부선(漏斗部腺)의 정자보유(精子保有) 차이에 대하여

        The purpose of this study was designed to compare the storage stage of spermatozoa in the utero-vaginal (U-V) glands and the infundibular glands of high-fecundity hens. These laying hens were assigned to four groups by date intervals after last artificial inseminations. The U-V glands and the infundibular glands in the tissue preparation of the each hen uterus were observed microscopically, and also the appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands were compared with those of the infundibular glands. 1. The appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained U-V glands were found to be 27.8, 28.8, 19.9 and 11.1% respectively at the hen groups of 1, 3, 7 and 10 days after artificial insemination. 2. The appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained infundibular glands were found to be 0.5, 1. 1, 0.6 and 0.4% of 1, 3, 7 and 10 days after AI and number of spermatozoa contained in a infundibular glands tended predominantly to be 1 to 2. So this study concluded as follows: The appearance rates of spermatozoa-contained glands were found to be higher in the U-V glands than in the infundibular glands and also spermatozoa number per gland were more numerous in U-V glands than in infundibular glands.

        가축(家畜) 및 실험동물(實驗動物) 소화관선(消化管腺)의 구조(構造)에 관한 연구 II. 포유(哺乳) mouse 장점막(腸粘膜)의 세포재생주기(細胞再生週期)에 대하여

        The turnover time of the mucosal epithelium in the small intestine(jejunum and ilium) and large interstine(cecum), and the cells in the lamina propria of the small intestine was investigated with the radioautography in mice at various times after single injection of $^3H$-thymidine. Twenty suckling mice were sacrified at each of the following time intervals after injection ; 2 hrs, 1, 3, 5. 7, 14 and 17 days. 1. The labeled index of the epithelial cells in the crypt and the villus of the small intestine averaged 98.7% and 1.3% at 2 hrs, 982% and 1.8% at 1 day, 18.7% and 81.3% at 3 days, 6.3% and 93.7% at 5 days, respectively. The labeled index of the epithelial cells of the crypt-base, the upper-crypt and the mucosal surface in the large intestine averaged 71.8%, 28.2% and 0% at 2 hrs, 45%. 54.2% and 0% at 1 day, 17.2%, 54.5% and 28.2% at 3 days, 10.2%, 32.4% and 57.4% at 5 days, respectively. This result suggested that the turnover time of all the epithelial cells migrating from crypts to villi in the direction of the villus tips was calculated to be less than 5 days, and also the longest turnover time was calculated to be no longer than 7 day. 2. The labeled index of the total cells in the lamina propria of the small intestine averaged 6.2-7% at 2 hrs to 5 days, 4.7% at 7 days 2.6% at 17 days and this index is tend to be decreased moderately at 7 days and severely at 17 days. So this result suggested that the turnover time of the cells with the shorter cycle duration in the lamina propria of the small intestine were less than 5 days and that of the cells with the longer cycle duration more than 17 days.

        반추수난소(反芻獸卵巢)의 조직화학적연구(組織化學的硏究)

        The present study was underve the histochemical nature of various follicles and interstitial tissues in the ovaries of Korean native goats and cattle as well as the histochemical changes of those in the ovaries of Korean native goats treated with dexamethasone. Much more lipid granules appeared in the granulosa and theca cells of atretic follicles compared with normal follicles in these ruminant ovaries. In the ovaries of Korean native goats the interstitial tissue derived from the theca interna of atretic follicles appeared the form of patches of cells and the interstitial tissue derived from stromal cells appeared the form of diffuse, obscure bounds. In the ovaries of Korean native cattle the interstitial tissue derived from theca interna of atretic follicles showed sparsely scattered form of pathes of cells. The histochemical components were described on the basis of lipids in the granulosa and theca cells of normal follicles, atretic follicles and interstitial tissue. In the ovaries of Korean natve goats treated with dexamethasone, the granulosa and theca cells of atretic foillicle contained plenty lipid granules that were increased in size and number, however, lipid granules were markedly decreased in the interstitial tissue.
