This paper has been reviewed on the adhesive wear mechanism in metals which were based on the concept of "Contact·Adhesive-Friction, wear" investigated systematically by Holm. It has been recognized that the real contact surfaces and the adhesive phenomena in these surfaces were important concepts for the analysis of adhesive wear mechanism. Holm's law and theory has been revised through new concepts and theories proposed by Archard, Cocks, Rabinowicz and Burwell ; these new concepts and theories were proved experimentally by many investigators.

3價크롬 鍍金浴으로 工業的 實用化된 Alecra 3浴 中 鹽化크롬을 主成分으로 使用하고 칼륨鹽을 나트륨鹽으로 代替한 浴에 있어서 浴組成 成分의 作用을 헬셀試驗으로 調査하였다. 0.4mol/l의 3價크롬과 0.8mol/l以上의 개미酸은 [??]과 같은 錯이온을 形成한다고 判斷되었고, 1mol/l以上의 鹽化암모늄과 0.5mol/l以上의 酸은 陽極에서 鹽素가스의 發生없이 良好한 크롬鑛金을 얻는데 必要하였으며, 0.1mol/l程度의 臭化物은 어느 濃度 以上의 개미酸, 鹽化암모늄 및 鹽酸의 共存下에서는 鹽素가스의 發生을 防止하였다. 한편 鹽化암모늄 및 鹽化나트륨 等의 鹽化物의 添加量의 增加는 浴電壓의 上昇을 減少시킴에 따른 被覆力의 向上에 도움을 준다. A trivalent chromium plating bath to be modified with sodium salts instead of potassium salts for Alecra 3 bath, which has already used for decorative chromium plating in the metal finishing industry, has been examined by hull cell test. Results show that trivalent chromium of 0.4 mol/l formed a compex with formate of 0.8 mol/l up such as [??], the ammonium chloride of 1 mol/l up and the boric acid of 0.5 mol/l up and the boric acid 0.5 mol/l up satisfactorily decorative chromium plating without evolution of chlorine at anode, and bromide of 0.1 mol/l suppressed evolution of chlorine in the presence of formate, ammonium, and boric acid. The chloride such as ammonium chloride and sodium chloride showed to be increased the covering power in accordance with decrease of the bath voltage.
