잡음환경및 채널왜곡에 강인한 ARS용 전화음성인식 방식 연구

본고는 음성인식 기능이 추가된 음성응답장치(ARS)의 음성 인식률을 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다. ARS에 입력되는 전화음성은 안내방송, 전화잡음, 그리고 채널왜곡에 의하여 영향을 받기 때문에, 양질의 음성을 대상으로 하여 개발된 인식 알고리듬을 그대로 적용하면 상당한 인식률의 저하를 가져오게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 본고에서는 세 가지 방법을 제안한다: 1)음성이 시작되는 순간 안내 방송을 즉시 끊기 위한 음성 입력순간의 정확한 검출, 2)Teager 에너지를 이용한 잡음 섞인 전화음성의 효과적인 끝점검출, 3)SDCN 알고리듬을 이용한 채널왜곡의 보상. 위의 세 가지 방법을 모두 결합하여 화자독립인 전화음성을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 기존의 방법이 약 23%의 인식률을 보인 반면, 제안된 방식은 약 77%의 인식률로서 상당한 성능향상을 보여주었다. This paper proposes the methods for improving the recognition rate of theARS, especially equipped with the speech recognition capability. Telephone speech, which is the input to the ARS, is usually affected by the announcements from the system, channel noise, and channel distortion, thus directly applying the recognition algorithm developed for clean speech to the noisy telephone speech will bring the significant performance degradation. To cope with this problem, this paper proposes three methods: 1)the accurate detection of the inputting instant of the speech in order to immediately turn off the announcements from the system at that instant, 2)the effective end-point detection of the noisy telephone speech on the basis of Teager energy, and 3)the SDCN-based compensation of the channel distortion. Experiments on speaker-independent, noisy telephone speech reveal that the combination of the above three proposed methods provides great improvements on the recognition rate over the conventional method, showing about 77% in contrast to only 23%.
단일 급전부를 갖는 레이다 디텍터용 X, K 밴드 배열 안테나

본 논문에서는 단일 급전부를 갖는 레이다 디턱테용 X 밴드(10.525 GHz) 1×2 배열 안테나와 K 밴드(24.15 GHz) 3×6 배열 안테나를 제안한다. 제안된 배열 안테나의 왼편에는 X 밴드 배열 안테나가 있고 오른편에는 K 밴드 배열 안테나가 있다. 두 개의 배열 안테나는 하나의 전송 선로를 통해 급전이 되고, stub가 각 배열 안테나의 앞부분에 있다. 서로 다른 동작 주파수를 갖는 배열 안테나를 일반적인 T-junction을 이용하여 하나의 전송 선로로 급전할 경우, 서로 영향을 주어 배열 안테나의 특성이 크게 바뀌게 된다. 이러한 영향을 차단하기 위해 open, short 특성을 이용하여 stub를 설계하였다. 먼저 각 배열 안테나에 stub가 연결되어도 안테나 특성이 바뀌지 않는 것을 확인하였고, 최종적으로 두 개의 배열 안테나를 연결하여 하나의 전송 선로로 급전을 하여도 성능이 바뀌지 않는 것을 확인하였다. 측정한 이득은 X 밴드에서 6.47 dBi, K 밴드에서 13.07 dBi로 시뮬레이션 결과와 잘 일치하였다. In this paper, the X(1×2, 10.525 GHz) and K(3×6, 24.15 GHz) bands patch array antenna having single feed line for radar detector applications is proposed. The left side of the proposed array antenna is X band array antenna and the right is K band array antenna. Two array antennas with two stubs located in the front of antennas are fed through one transmission line. If the array antennas which have the different resonance frequency are fed by one transmission line using general T-junction, it interferes each other and the array antenna lost its character. Therefore, to prevent these interferences, two stubs using open and short property of stub are designed. First of all, the performances of array antenna weren"t changed when each array antennas were connected with the stub and in the end, it is found out that it was the same when the two array antennas were combined and feed through the one transmission line. The measured gain at X band is 6.47 dBi and measured gain at K band is 13.07 dBi. The experimental results agree well with the simulated ones.

This paper presents a method of designing a new type of speech code converter, which converts, directly in digital domains, RPE-LTP speech codes into its corresponding CELP speech codes. This code converter enables the two different types of speech coders to communicate each other. It also allows the converting system to have the advantages of low hardware complexity, low power consumption, and small size as well as low const. Computer simulation results have shown that the code converter performs well with little degradation, which is always enevitable for the converting process.

This paper deals with the system which recognizes a user's unique voice to verify the claimed identity of the phone-banking user. In particular, this paper puts the emphasis on the method of preventing an imposter, whose voice characteristics is similar to that of the claimed user, from illegally accessing the system. To this end, a new model is proposed to improve the conventional cohort model. The conventional method uses the cohort model of the fixed size, while the proposed method incorporates the cohort model of the variable size to adaptively change the size of the model as the number of users with similar voices varies. Experimental results show that the proposed method offers slight improvements of 2% over the conventional one.
TMS320C30 디지틀 신호 처리기를 이용한 VSELP 음성 부호화기의 실시간 구현에 관한 연구

This paper aims at implementing in real time the well-known VSELP codebook search algorithm. Although the VSELP speech coder is known to be very efficient, its codebook search algorithm takes so much time that ist is essential to have the search done in real-time. To this end, this paper proposes the search algorithm should be implemented on the TMS320C30 digital signal processor rather than on the conventional personal computers. The computer program running on the IBM 486 PC has been modified for the TMS320C30 and the results from both IBM 486 PC and TMS320C30 have been compared. The comparison shows that both yield almost the same performances but TMS320C30 digital signal processor produces the output systhesized speech much faster. The VSELP codebook search algorithm on TMS320C30 still needs a lot of search time. Further researches such as parallel processing and code optimization are continuing to reduce the search time.

Recently, a variety of researches for human identification have been made to improve the recognition performance. One of them is on the recognition of human gaits. This paper deals with the implementation of a gait recognizer. A variety of image processing methods are carried out to extract proper features. Simulation results show that the gait recognizer is another promising tool for human identification.
Keyword Spotting 기술을 이용한 음성다이얼링 시스템의 개발

This paper proposes the method for applying the keyword spotting technique to the development of a voice dialing system. The keyword spotting technique is the one that can locate the keyword to be recognized in the continuous word sentences. This technique can overcome the unnaturalness of the pronunciation for the isolated word recognition as well as the performance degradation in the continuous word recognition. DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) is considered for spotting the keyword in the continuous word sentences.
