        Mass communication is directed toward a relatively large, heterogeneous, and anonymous audience. In short, they are mass audience. The traditional concept of the mass audience is ; each audience member in the mass audience is personally and directly "stuck" by the medium's message-called "the hypodermic needle theory." Both the concept of a mass audience and the hypodermic needle theory of the communication process have been modified by sociological research. So each study about audience(reader) must regard individual variables. Their newspaper contact and news-seeking behavior have some motivational-psychological and sociological-variables and demagraphic factors. For example, take rewards and opinion for public affairs, a tool for daily living, social prestige and social contact and some psychological reasons. (desirability of reading, curiosity, need for cognition and anxiety etc.) And environmental facfors are availability, educate, age, sex, economic income, social status, major job, family and marry, living house and political attitude. The former(motivational variables) is the active and encouragement reasons, and the latter(environmental factors)is the hindrance and impede points. The newspaper contact behavior has a closing relationship to the selective reading behavior (readership of specific stories) and internal mediating process.

        University newspaper is the blanches of university problems in Korea. Until a recent data, about 10 years, university newspaper was a tool of active students (called 'a member of student movement') spokesman. As this reason, university newspaper was a alienation field of our(collegian, scholars of communication) interests. But I think university newspaper is the most important problem in blanches of communication & journalism an administration of university. So scholars of communication have to study in this fields. I suggest following, 1) the role of university newspaper is, the first, the Watch-dog's function in environments of university ; campus life, acts of sciences, general administration, alumni, and others. 2) the function of operation organs-all of the collegians' centre for communicating their sprits, 3) the vehicles(channels & tools) of creating, communicating, preserving, improving university cultural heritage. In conclusion, it have to develop the role & function of university newspaper and establishing the directing principles for student reporters. And preparing for independent manaing-free from financial support of the university. The future of university newspaper in the independent of managing and reporting. I'm studying in a moment next study about the research on actual state and a suggest for role & function of the university newspaper.

      • 인터넷신문 수용 행태 비교 연구 : The Technology Acceptance Model을 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to predict the adoption of online newspaper through the comparison of online newspaper Reader and Non-online newspaper reader. The Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) was compared and used to predict intentions to adopt online newspaper. On the basis of TAM, the following question is derived to explain and predict the adoption of online newspaper for online newspaper Reader and Non-online newspaper reader. The questions are as follows: [Research Question] How well do the Theory of Reasoned Action, Theory of Planned Behavior, and Technology Acceptance Model explain the decisions to adopt online newspaper? [Research Question 1] Is there any difference between online newspaper users and non-users? [Research Question 2] Is there any difference between online newspaper users and non-users in behavioral intention willing to accept online newspaper? [Research Question 2-1] Is there any difference between online newspaper users and non-users in behavioral intention willing to use online newspaper? [Research Question 2-2] Is there any difference between online newspaper users and non-users in the attitude and usability comprising the intention of willing to accept online newspaper? For method, the questionnaire responded by the participants were analyzed. The participants were recruited from 361 undergraduate students. Each of the previously stated hypotheses was tested using multiple regression. For this study, the indicators are discrete. All of the items were scored on a 3 to +3 scale except for the motivation to comply items, which were scored on a 1 to 7 scale. This study showed the following conclusions. First, both of online newspaper users and non-users are well cognizant of the advantage of decreasing time to search informations. This can be seen in the attitude of the planning behavior theory about online newspaper and the usability of the Technology Acceptance Model in common. Connecting speed is considered as hindering factor. Second, according to the Technology Acceptance Model, usability and easiness have more predictability and more appeal to online newspaper users than non-users. Third, usability of online newspaper is more important factor than individual attitudes, social effects and barriers to use internet in accpeting online newspaper. Considering online newspaper as usable, the attitudes of online newspaper users get more positive. Moreover, Online newspaper users are more conscious of usability and easiness of using online newspaper than non-users. In conclusion, strong support was found for the Technology Acceptance Model as an explanation of the process by which Non-online newspaper readers to adopt online newspaper. As with all empirical research, there exist some potential limitations. First, the relatively restrictive sampling(i.e.) undergraduate students) is a limitation of this study even though there is not necessary to consider demographic factors. The common method variance is also a limitation of this study. Since all of the data were collected from self-reports of Non-online newspaper readers, the potential for inflated correlation is high. However, the tests were performed for each of the theories to determine the unique contribution of each independent variable to dependent variable.

        To study the processing and treatment of newspaper message is require the practical skills. For that reason, the study of message in newspaper is less than that the other process of mass communication. The study on message treatment is necessary for educating in clllege and co-operation with college-mass nedia. Some scholars are point out necessity of practical educate. In this study, some examining about treatment of newspaper message. That is ; 1. The nature and the message of newspaper ; The interrelationship of the nature of newspaper(read ability-literacy, possibility of reread, independence of reread, independence of selection of news, free choice the time of reading newspaper, recognition of 'WHY' and 'How'etc.) and the message of newspaper. 2. The nature of subscriber and the message of newspaper ; The interrelationship of the selective reading behavior-readership of specific stories-that is caused by the nature of subscriber(demographic characteristics, social and cultural characteristics, psychological characteristics and others) and the message of newspaper. 3. Newspaper display and design ; writing headline and the horizontal writing make up with the writing, the axis of orientation at read, the principles of make-up, the taboos of the vertical writing make-up and it's examples etc.) In coclusion, to find the following themes in the treatment of newspaper message ; 1. Adopt the horizontal writing make-up, 2. Improvement of printing type, 3. The readability of news written, 4. The style of news written, 5. Development of the new make-up technics and methods.

        학교자치가 교사의 직무만족도 및 교직효능감에 미치는 영향 - 국공립 초등학교와 중학교를 중심으로 -

        본 연구의 목적은 최근의 학교교육 개선과 질 제고를 위한 노력 중 가장 중요한 운영 원리 중 하나인 학교자치가 교사의 직무만족도 및 교직효능감에 미치는 영향을 탐색해 보는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 TALIS 2018 교사 문항을 활용하여 교사의 교직 특성에 대한 조사를 실시하였으며 재직하는 학교의 자치 정도에 대한 교사의 인식을 박수정과 정바울(2020)이 제안한 학교자치 중 기능적 자치에 해당하는 교육과정, 학생생활, 인사, 예산 네 가지 영역을 조사하여 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 학교자치의 네 가지 구성요소인 교육과정, 학생생활, 인사, 예산 모두 교사의 직무만족도와 정적 관계가 있는 것으로 드러났다. 둘째, 학교자치의 세 가지 구성요소인 교육과정, 학생생활, 예산이 교사의 교직효능감과 정적 관계가 있는 것으로 드러났다. 즉, 학교자치의 전반적 실행에 대한 교사의 인식이 교사의 직무만족도 및 교직효능감과 긍정적인 관계가 있다는 점을 확인한 것이다. 이상 연구 결과는 학교자치의 실천이 교육개혁의 방향성 혹은 학교교육의 질 개선이라는 거시적인 차원뿐만 아니라 단위학교 교원의 직무 개선에 긍정적인 영향요인이 될 수 있다는 측면에서 그 중요성을 다시금 확인하는 근거가 될 수 있을 것으로 보인다. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of school autonomy, which is one of the most important operational principles among recent efforts to improve school education and improve quality, on teachers’ job satisfaction and efficacy. To this end, this study conducted a survey on the characteristics of teachers’ teaching profession by utilizing TALIS 2018 teacher questionnaires, and evaluated teachers’ perceptions of the degree of autonomy in their school by examining functional autonomy among school autonomy proposed by Park and Jeong (2020). A multiple regression analysis was conducted by examining the four areas of curriculum, student life, personnel management, and budget. The results are as follows. First, all four components of school autonomy (curriculum, student life, personnel, and budget) have a positive relationship with teachers’ job satisfaction. Second, the three components of school autonomy (curriculum, student life, and budget) have a positive relationship with teachers efficacy. In other words, this means that teachers’ perception of the overall execution of school autonomy has a positive relationship with teachers’ job satisfaction and efficacy. The results of this study provide grounds to reaffirm the importance of practicing school autonomy in terms of not only the direction of education reform or the macro level of improving the quality of school education, but also that it can be a positive influence on the job improvement of school teachers.
