Recently We make a study of the process expert system model in 2005. Process expert system concepts is applied to the digital meister expert system development. Well-designed expert systems imitate the reasoning processes experts use to solve specific problem. Specially, expert systems are used to the engineer in manufacturing industry for the process control, production management and system management. In this paper, we propose the digital meister expert system for product design process in manufacturing industry and we present introduction and contents of design process expert system methodology and software for the air purifier design system.

In the high speed and high precision machining system, CMS(control monitoring system) is a very important factor for offering of the real-time status monitoring information. Specially, web based CMS development is increasing constantly in manufacturing industry of the world. Because of the this market trend and korea customer's need, we are developing the CMS development project which supporting web based information technology and network based connection technology. This paper discusses the web based CMS architecture and design for the high speed and high precision machining system.

Nowadays humans interact more with computer-based technology than with directly control-based tools. HMI technology is defined as the software and hardware hybrid systems that are the interface between operators/engineer and plant equipment. HMI technology has become very graphical and dynamical in the past 10-years and current HMI technology in many instances animates the manufacturing process on computer displays. Especially, network technology is very important issue and a matter of concern in the HMI systems. This paper discusses network-based HMI system architecture(or framework) and design for CNC machine.

Recently we started a development of the digital meister expert system for the product design supporting in manufacturing industry. Knowledge representation is of major importance in digital meister expert system. This rule-based expert system-knowledges are designed for a certain type of knowledge representation such as rules or logic. The way in which a rule-based expert system represents knowledge affects the development, efficiency, speed, and maintenance. Eventually, this digital meister system is used to the engineer in manufacturing industry for the process control, production management and system management. In this paper, we propose the digital meister system knowledge representation method for product design supporting in manufacturing industry and we present introduction and contents of rule-based knowledge representation supporting tool.
