금(111) 표면에 흡착된 부탄싸이올의 구조와 에너지 계산

The adsorption of butanethiolate on the Au(111) surface have been investigated by first-principle calculation. In order to see a chain length effect, we also considered an adsorption of decanethiolate and methanethiolate using pseudopotential and LCAO methods within DFT. To establish the reliability of the present methods, we performed test calculations for gold(atom, bulk, slab) and small molecules of various combinations of S, C, and H. Stable adsorption geometries and adsorption energy of thiolate on Au were obtained..This study provides some insight for the interactions involved with thiols and gold surfaces in Microcontact printing(μ CP) and dip-pen nanolithography(DPN) which use gold paper-thiol ink. The effort to link present results to physical parameters necessary to simulate such nanoscale processes is underway.

모든 예술의 지배적 재현양식인 리얼리즘은 사실성을 담보로 하는 실사영상으로만 창조되는 것이 아니다. 다시 말하면 스크린이 제시하는 시각이미지가 아닌 바로 관객의 머릿속에서 누적된 정보를 바탕으로 구현된다는 것이다. 리얼리티의 신뢰성은 고도의 추상적 형식인 애니메이션이라는 방식을 유지하고서도 자유롭게 표현될 수 있다. 실재의 이야기를 기록하려 한 진정한 시도로서 <바시르와 왈츠를>은 실사가 아닌 애니메이션으로도 눈으로 직접 확인하는 것 이상으로 우리의 집합적 경험을 재현할 수 있는 완벽한 방법이라는 것을 알린 작품이다. 텍스트는 이전의 전쟁에 관련한 다큐멘터리들에서 그랬던 것처럼 은폐되었던 역사적 사실을 폭로하거나 이데올로기적 모순을 드러내지 않는다. 대신, 불완전하고 나약한 개인의 초상을 통하여 관객 스스로 생각하고 판단할 수 있는 여백을 제공하고 있다. 연관된 장르의 매체들이 표현 관습을 빌려오고 교환하는 상호교류를 통하여 픽션에서와 같이 치밀하게 의미를 전달하고 있는 것이다. 또한 사실에 해당하는 정보를 제공할 뿐 아니라 주체와 대상의 관계에 따라 유연하게 비현실을 접목하고 있는 것을 볼 수 있다. 텍스트 내부의 공간은 화면에 묘사된 일상성을 통해 사실적으로 변모하고 있으며 허구의 이미지로 묘사된 풍부함과 독창성은 픽션이 아닌 실재 있었던 역사적 사실의 재현이라는 것을 신뢰할 수 있도록 구성되어 있다. 이제 정형화되고 구조화되었던 매체 전반에 대한 개념보다는 그 경계를 아우를 수 있는 새로운 접근이 필요한 시점이다. 기존의 사실주의적 접근은 미학적 패러다임의 변화를 보인 지 오래다. 대표적인 허구의 매체인 애니메이션으로 이루어진 본 텍스트가 어떠한 방법으로 문제에 접근하고 해결책을 제시하는가에 대한 구체적 논의는 하이브리드 시대에서 예술을 이해하기 위한 또 하나의 대안이 될 수 있을 것이다. Realism, the most dominant form in presenting arts, is not always created through “live action.” It is embodied by information accumulated from audiences’ thinking, not by optical images which the screen reflects. The trust of reality can be presented quite freely even though it keeps a form of animation, which is highly abstract. Walts with Bashir, the animation as an sincere try in order for documenting real stories, reflects that an animation can also represents people’s collective experiences better than direct confirmation with eyes, not only live action can do. Like past documentaries about war did, texts of the work did not reveal historical facts covered up or ideological contradictions. Instead, it gives a room for audiences to think by themselves through imperfection and spiritless of an individual’s portrait. Through the cross-change among the media of related genre, it delivers messages delicately like live action does. It does not only provide the information about facts, but also connects the information with nonfiction flexibly according to the relationship between subjects and objects. The space inside of the texts transfigures realistically through the dailiness described in the screen. Moreover, the richness and originality described through nonfiction ensure that the story is not just telling the fiction, but reproducing the historical facts. From now on, the new approach which embraces different types of the media is needed, rather than the structured and standardized concepts of each media. An existing realistic approach is already changing its aesthetic paradigm. Scoping on how the texts of this animation, the most representative form of nonfiction, approaches the problem and solves it could be an method to understand the art in the hybrid age.

Density functional calculations have been performed for the reactions of perfluoroalkylsilane and alkylsilane with silica surfaces. The (100) and (111) surfaces of β-cristobalite are used as two possible models of the hydroxylated amorphous silica surface. This is the crystalline phase of silica with density and refractive index closest to those of amorphous silica. Moreover, two β-cristobalite surfaces have the two types of silanol groups, namely the single silanols and the geminal silanols. We investigate the possible adsorption structure and formation energy of perfluoroalkylsilane and alkylsilane molecules with two type of silanol groups. The results will be compared with cluster and slab model.

Nano-Imprint Lithography(NIL) is a patterning technique at nano-size in limelight of requesting to reduce thespace between patterns. NIL is modeled under systematic multiscale consideration for a coarse grained molecular dynamics model. Force fields of a united atom model and a bead-spring model for the resin materials, obtained from fitting with the quantum mechanical solution, are employed for computation. The initial configuration of the polymer resin for UV nano imprinting is obtained from Monte Carlo simulation and the initial relaxation procedure. To simulate NIL process, we employ the Nose-Poincare thermostat for temperature controlled Molecular Dynamics (MD), which exhibits enhanced numerical stability even when the temperature fluctuation is large in the case of small number of particles system. Various aspects of NIL process from the mechanics view are discussed based on the numerical solution from the present multiscale modeling.
