이글은 20세기 냉전과 종교(그리스도교)의 상관관계를 한반도의 가톨릭교회차원에서 고찰해보려는 시도이다. 해방이후 남한지역에서 실시된 미군정, 그리고 대한민국 단독정부 수립의 과정에서 교회는 철저한 반공주의노선을 견지했으며, 한국전쟁을 무신론적인 악의 세력과의 투쟁인 성전(聖戰)으로 인식했다. 가톨릭교회가 전(全)세계적인 차원에서 직면했던 공산주의세력과의 대립이 한반도에서 더욱 심각하게 전개된 것이다. 이분법적인 냉전과 전쟁의 혼란속에서 평화의 중재자가 되지 못했던 교회의 과거를 성찰하는 것은 아직 냉전적 대결구도를 깨지 못하고 있는 동북아에서 평화를 위한 그리스도교의 역할을 모색하는 데 도움을 줄 것이다. The purpose of this article is to attempt an examination of the relationship between the Cold War of the 20th Century and Religion (Christianity) from the perspective ofthe Catholic Church on the Korean Peninsula. After the Liberation, the Catholic Church maintained a thorough anti-communism ideology in the process of the Occupation of the American Military Government in South Korea and of establishment of the Government of the Republic of Korea, and the Church recognized the Korean War as a holy war, a struggle against atheistic evil forces. The confrontation with the Communist forces, which the Catholic Church faced around the world, unfolded more intensely on the Korean Peninsula. Reflecting on the past of the Church, which failed to become a mediator of peace amid the dichotomous Cold War and the chaos of war, will help to find roles of Christianity for peace in Northeast Asia, a region that has yet to achieve reconciliation of the Cold War Confrontations.

Recently, the design process for a railway bogie frame in Europe has been carried out according to the norm EN 13749. The activities in the norm EN shall demonstrate that the design of the bogie frame fulfills the acceptances of 4 steps of the program such as structural calculation, static tests, fatigue test and on-tracks tests. At the end of the acceptance program, the on-tracks tests have the aim to measure the real stress history generated in operation and to verify that they are reasonably next to those calculated and measured on the test rig. Therefore, in order to assure the safety of the railway vehicle, it is important to examined the durability of that under load histories measured from on-tracks tests. In this study, under variable amplitude loading based on the actual acceleration history, fatigue analysis of the welding bogie frame is investigated by using durability software. Moreover, the fatigue life of the frame under the loading in the norm EN fatigue test condition is evaluated and compared with the life under variable amplitude loading.

As a consequence of the standardization process developing in Europe, on April 2005 the new European standard EN 13749 was issued by the European standardization body CEN. The norm EN 13749 standardizes and develops the requirements already present in UIC leaflets for test verifications and define all technical requirements for the acceptance process in order to achieve a complete satisfactory design of the bogie. The aim of the norm is to define the complete design process of new railway bogies. It includes design procedures, assessment methods, verification and manufacturing quality requirements. In this study, fatigue analysis of the bogie frame is investigated comparing different approaches between conventional methodology and simulation results based on the VPD(Virtual Product Development).
