        Possibility of Natural Hybridization between Red Seabream (Pagrus major) and Blackhead Seabream (Acanthopagrus schlegeli)

        참돔과 감성돔은 우리나라 주변에 서식하는 고유 어종으로, 참돔의 암컷과 감성돔의 수컷을 이용한 인공수정에 의하여 잡종은 생산되었으나, 자연 상태에서는 이들 간의 잡종이 보고된 바 없다. 이들 두 어종의 암수 및 타 어종을 섞어서 대형 수조에서 사육하는 과정에서 생산된 수정란을 회수하여 부화시켜 육성하는 과정에서 이들 두 종간의 잡종의 형태를 보이는 개체들이 관찰되었다. 임의로 96개체를 선택하여 두 종에 모두 적용할 수 있는 microsatellite marker를 이용하여 유전학적 분석을 실시한 결과 96개체 중 두 종의 혼합된 형태적 특징을 보이는 15개체는 참돔 암컷과 감성돔 수컷 간의 잡종으로 판명되었으며, 나머지 81개체는 감성돔 치어로 확인되었다. 사육수조의 크기가 매우 컸으며 다른 어류들도 함께 들어 있었다는 점과, 이와 같이 유전적으로 구분되는 두 종 간의 잡종이 자연상태와 유사한 환경에서 생산되었다는 점을 고려할 때 본 연구의 결과는 자연 상태에서도 인위적인 영향이나 기후 변화에 의하여 이들의 서식지가 중복될 경우 두 종간의 잡종이 생산될 가능성이 있다는 것을 시사한다. During the storage of these two species in a large conservation tank, fertilized eggs were collected and the offspring were raised. During culturing of the offspring, individuals with mixed characteristics of these two species were observed, and 96 individuals were randomly tested using microsatellite markers applicable to both species. Among the 96 individuals, 15 individuals with mixed morphological characteristics were confirmed to be hybrids showing both of genotypes red seabream and blackhead seabream. Additionally, based on sequence analysis of mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit 1 (mtDNA CO1), 81 showed 99% nucleotide sequence identity to that of black sea bream, and the remaining 15 individuals showed over 99% sequence identity to that of red seabream. So, hybrids were produced by female red seabream and male blackhead seabream. These results suggest that hybrids may form in nature between these two species if their habitats overlap due to the influence of humans or global climate change.

        This study was performed to investigate the behavior of liquid and vapor phases of fuel mixtures with different piston cavity diameters in a optically accessible engine. The images of liquid and vapor phases were measured in the motoring engine using LIEF method. Injection pressure is 5.1 MPa. Two dimensional spray fluorescence images of liquid and vapor phases were acquired to analyze spray behavior and fuel distribution inside of cylinder. Three injection timings were set at bTDC 180°, 90°and 60°. The results obtained are as follows. With a fuel injection timing of bTDC 60°, fuel-rich mixture was concentrated in near the cavity center. With a fuel injection timing of bTDC 90°, fuel-rich mixture level in the center region was highest in the Type-M during the compression stroke. With a fuel injection timing of bTDC 180°, fuel was not affected in a piston cavity and generally distributed as homogeneous mixture. The spray dispersion at injection timing of bTDC 90° was smaller than bTDC 300°.<br/>

        다양한 배양 환경에 따른 국내 수집 외생균근성 Tricholoma 속 종의 균사생장 특성

        The ectomycorrhizal basidiomycete Tricholoma is one of mushroom groups that cannot be cultivated artificially. To use this mushroom as applicable resource for food production, it is necessary to obtain information about their mycelial growth properties in various environmental conditions. This study investigated the mycelial growth of four domestic isolates of Tricholoma species (T. bakamatsutake, T. fulvocastaneum, T. matsutake, T. terreum) at different physical and chemical conditions. The optimal physical conditions for their mycelia growth were found to be a temperature range of 20~25℃ and a pH range of 4.0~7.0 in dark condition. The growth of T. matsutake was retarded at high temperature (30℃). Tests to determine the chemical factors that affected mycelial growth showed that the four Tricholoma spp. grew 1% saline. T. matsutake grew in up to 2% saline. In the presence of various heavy metals (50 ppm) and pesticides (suppliers’ recommended concentration), mycelial growth was inhibited the most by cadmium and emamectin benzoate, respectively. However, all the four Tricholoma spp. grew with Cu+. The growth of T. matsutake was not inhibited by abamectin, acetamiprid, and thiacloprid. Extracellular enzyme activities of amylase and β-glucosidase were detected only in T. bakamatsutake and T. fulvocastaneum. The results of the present study allowed us to determine suitable or harmful environmental conditions for the mycelial cultivation of the Tricholoma spp.

        방실결절회귀성 빈맥의 성공적인 전극도자 절제의 예측인자

        Catheter ablation of the AV nodal slow pathway using radiofrequency (RF) energy has been established as the first-line curative therapeutic modality of recurrent symptomatic AV nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT). In contrast to catheter ablation of the AV bypass tract, there was no useful marker to localize succesful site of the pathway. This study was performed to determine predictors of successful catheter ablation of the AV nodal slow pathway in patients with AVNRT. Methods : Forty patients (18 men, 22 women; 47.9±13.3 years) with AVNRT undergoing successful catheter ablation of the AV nodal slow pathway were included in this study, in which 217 attempts were tried to ablate the AV nodal slow pathway. Characteristics of local atrial electrogram, anatomical site at each attempt, junctional rhythm during RF delivery were analyzed (40 successful, 177 failed). Maximum difference and duration of atrial electrograms were measured and local atrial electrograms were classified into 5 types (A1, A2, B1, B2 and C type) according to the type and the degree of fragmentation. Finally, the occurrence of junctional rhythm during RF discharge and its onset time were compared between successful and failed attempts. Results : There was no significant difference in the maximum difference of amplitude and duration of atrial electrograms between successful and failed attempts. The success rate in each type of atrial electrogram was significantly different. And, the success rate in non-C type atrial electrograms (A1, A2, B1, and B2) was significantly higher than that in type C atrial electrograms (25.0% vs 10.3%, p<0.01). No significant difference was noted in success rates according to attempted sites. Junctional rhythms during radiofrequency application occured significantly more frequent in successful attempts than in failed attempts (87.5% vs 47.5%, p<0.001). The time to onset of junctional rhythm was not different between successful and failed attempts (5.2±4.9 sec vs 6.1±5.5 sec). Conclusion : Fragmented local atrial electrogram and junctional rhythm during RF energy delivery may be used to predict successful catheter ablation of AVNRT. It is recommended that RF energy should be applied to the site where fragmented atrial electrogram is recorded and terminated if junctional rhythm does not develop within 15 seconds after starting RF energy delivery.         Lichen planus is a chronic inflammatory disease that mainly involves the skin and oral mucosa. We report the case of a 57-year-old female who presented with a 6-week history of localized violaceous papules on her back and both extremities. Prior to presentation, she had received acupuncture on her back and both extremities, and 2 weeks later skin lesions occurred along the treated area. From the histopathologic findings of the lesion, the patient was diagnosed with lichen planus and treated with intralesional and topical corticosteroids. Dermatologic diseases such as atypical mycobacterial infection, foreign body granuloma and contact urticaria associated with traditional Korean medicine treatments have been reported. To the best of our knowledge, there has been only one report of eruptive lichen planus triggered by acupuncture in English literature to date. Herein, we report this rare and interesting case of lichen planus related to acupuncture. (Korean J Dermatol 2015;53(8):628∼630)

        초록갈파래의 모발 성장기 활성화 효능

        This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of Umbraulva japonica extract on the hair growth. Treatment with U. Japonica extract significantly increased the proliferation of dermal papilla cells (DPCs), a central regulator of the hair cycle. When isolated rat vibrissa follicles were treated with U. Japonica extract for 21 d, the hair-fiber lengths of the vibrissa follicles increased. When examined the activity of 5α-reductase, which converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a main cause of androgenetic alopecia, U. Japonica extract did not inhibit the 5α-reductase activity. Moreover, we found that the U. Japonica extract also significantly accelerated anagen phase in vivo. These results suggest that the U. Japonica extract has the potential to treat alopecia via the stimulation of anagen phase.

        발달장애 아동의 놀이 활동을 위한 N-스크린 기반의 웹앱 개발

        현대 사회는 ICT 기술의 발전으로 다양한 매체를 활용한 교육방법이 등장하였고, 이러한 교육방법은 장애아동 교육에서도 효과적으로 활용될 가능성이 충분히 입증되었지만, 장애아동의 환경을 고려한 맞춤형 콘텐츠는 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 디지털 매체에서 같은 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있는 IT 기술인 N-스크린 기술을 적용하여 발달장애 아동의 놀이 활동 교육 콘텐츠를 제작하였다. 제작된 콘텐츠는 아동의 개별적 특성에 맞는 프로그램을 설정할 수 있으며, 언제 어디서나 인터넷에 접속 가능한 디지털 기기를 통해 진행할 수 있도록 제작되었다. 또한, 개발된 콘텐츠는 시간과 공간의 제약 없이 아동이 접하게 되는 다양한 환경(가정, 학교 등)에서 PC, 스마트폰, 휴대용 기기를 활용하여 접속할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 같은 교육 프로그램을 가정, 학교 등에서 연계하여 진행될 수 있도록 제작되었다. 제작된 콘텐츠를 지적장애 및 자폐범주성장애 아동 3명에게 적용하여본 결과 본 콘텐츠는 놀이교육에서 교사와 학생 간의 상호작용 매개체로 사용할 수 있었다. 또한 콘텐츠를 사용하여본 특수교육 전문가와의 인터뷰 결과 아동에 따라 구성물과 강화물을 선택할 수 있는 기능은 기존 콘텐츠 보다 아동의 중재에 있어서 도움이 된다고 응답하였다. In the modern society, instructional methods using diverse media have appeared thanks to the development of Information & Communication Technology, and applicability of such instructional methods has been fully corroborated. However, customized contents allowing for disabled children"s environment are still insufficient. Hence, this study produced educational contents of play activities for children with developmental disability, through applying N-screen technology, IT technology that can provide the same contents via a variety of digital media. The produced contents allow programs to be set up according to a child"s individual characteristics and be carried out anywhere and anytime via an Internet-enabled digital device. Further, the developed contents were produced so that they could be accessed from a child"s various environment (home, school, etc.) via a PC, a smart phone, a portable from a child"s various environment (home, school, etc.) via a PC, a smart phone, a portable device, etc. and that the same educational program could be conducted in linkage at home, school, etc. Three children with Intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder were applied to the manufactured content. As a result, Content interaction between interaction between teachers and students in play training could use as a medium.In addition, the children"s ability to select the appropriate components and reinforcements, special education professionals have used the content of the interviews are helpful in mediation than the existing content.

        B군 β-용혈성 연쇄상구균 패혈증에 의한 신생아 사망

        Since 1970, the group B streptococcus(GBS) has been a significant cause of neonatal sepsis in the West. Two distinct forms of disease occur in neonates. Early-onset disease which occurs within 7 days after birth is characterized by respiratory distress, apnea, shock, pneumonia, and occasionally meningitis. Late onset disease usually occurs at 3-4 weeks of age(ranging from 7 days to 3 months) and presents occult bacteremia or meningitis. The GBS is thought to be a rare causative agent for neonatal sepsis in Korea. Lately, we experience a case of early-onset GBS sepsis who died at 3rd day of life. We present this case with brief review of literatures.
