This paper deals with the development method of finite element analysis for fatigue lifetime prediction of a braided wire under banding load condition. Recently, the proportion of importance about NVH is increasing in the automotive. To meet these needs, normal wire used for ground of engine and transmission was changed to braided wire that has excellent flexibility and durability. In case of used ground wire at engine or transmission is influenced banding load by repeated engine rolling. braided wire may be broken by these banding load. Therefore, To improve problem of design beforehand, developed fatigue simulation method for prediction of fatigue lifetime of braided wire under banding load condition.
