Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between the location and size of pituitary adenoma and visual field change. Methods: Fifty-two patients were diagnosed with pituitary adenoma and underwent tumor resection at the Department of Neurosurgery in our hospital between July 1999 and July 2004. Among them, we retrospectively studied that location and size of pituitary adenoma as related to visual field changes in 29 patients who had credible perimetry results and no other ophthalmologic problems that caused visual field changes. We obtained the information about the size and location of pituitary adenoma using MRI, and performed ophthalmologic examination such as perimetry and fundus examination. Results: There were no visual field changes in 18 patients. The visual field changes observed were as follows; bitemporal hemianopsia in 4 patients who had inferior involvement of optic chiasm; scotoma in one eye and temporal hemianopsia in the other eye in 2 patients who had lateral and inferior involvement; bitemporal superior quadranopsia in 2 patients who had anterior and inferior involvement; and 3 patients showed visual field changes, but they had no optic nerve involvement of pituitary adenoma. The size of adenoma was not exactly related to visual field changes. Conclusions: These results indicate that visual field changes can be influenced by the location and size of pituitary adenoma.
백내장수술 후 시력예측을 위한 조명식 근거리 카드의 예측도

Purpose: To determine the accuracy of predicting potential visual acuity in cataract using the illuminated near card (INC). Methods: Thirty-nine eyes (34 patients) having cataract were studied prospectively by comparing the postoperative distance Snellen acuity to the visual acuity (VA) obtained preoperatively using the INC viewed through a pinhole. Results: The INC predicted postoperative acuity within two Snellen lines in 20 of 39. The accuracy between predicted and achieved acuities was follows: 61.5% in patients with a preoperative acuity of better than 0.3, 53.8% of better than 0.1, 50.0% of better than 0.05 and 28.6% of worse than 0.05. The disparity between INC results and postoperative VA was 3.89 lines (cortical opacity, nucleosclerosis, subcapsular opacity), 2.48 lines (cortical and subcapsular opacity), 2.08 lines (cortical opacity, nucleosclerosis), 1.8 lines (nucleosclerosis only), 3.3 lines (nucleosclerosis, subcapsular opacity), 1.6 lines (subcapsular opacity) and 3.0 lines (the others). Conclusions: The INC is easy to use and is a fast and accurate measurement instrument for predicting postoperative VA after cataract operation.
Side Looking Vehicle Detection Radar Using A Novel Signal Processing Algorithm

본 연구는 24GHz 측방설치 차량감지용 레이다를 개발하였다. 다차선에 존재하는 차량들의 속도 측정 및 차량 분류를 위해 24GHz 송수신 모듈을 개발하였고, 신호처리부에 새로운 신호처리 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 본 논문은 고정된 FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) 레이다 모듈로써, 동작원리 이론과 알고리즘에 대해 측정된 데이터를 나타내었다. 측정된 결과는, 가변 threshold 추출 방법을 이용하여 한 차선의 차량 속도에 대해 95%의 정확성과 두 차선에 대해서는 90%의 정확성을 보였다. 또한, 차량의 분류는 소형, 중형, 대형의 3종 분류로 약 89%의 정확성을 나타내었다. We have developed a 24GHz side-looking vehicle detection radar. A 24GHz front-end module and a novel signal processing algorithm have been developed for speed measurement and size classification of vehicles in multiple lanes. The system has a fixed antenna and FMCW processing module. This paper presents the background theory of operation and shows some measured data using the algorithm. The data shows that measured velocity of the passing vehicle is within the accuracy of 95% in single lane and the velocity of the vehicles in two lanes is within the accuracy of 90% by using variable threshold estimation. The classification of vehicle size as small, medium and large has been measured with 89% accuracy.

Fusion bonding of cast iron and Al alloy is an effective way to improve the properties such as low inertia, high efficiency and corrosion resistance in machinery parts. In case of fusion bonding, intermetallic compound layers are formed at the interface between cast iron and Al alloy interface. It is important to control the intermetallic compound layers for improving bonding strength. The formation behavior of intermetallic compound layer by heat treatment has been investigated. Heat treatment was performed at temperature from 600oC to 800oC with 100oC interval for an hour to investigate the phase transformation during heat treatment. Heat treated specimens were analyzed by using FE-SEM, EPMA and EDS. The EPMA/WDS results revealed that various phases were formed at the interface, which exhibited 4 distinct intermetallic compound layers such as τ6-Al4.5FeSi, τ2-Al3FeSi, τ11-Al5Fe2Si and η-Al5Fe2. Also, fine precipitation of τ1-Al2Fe3Si3 phase was formed between τ11 and η layer. The phase fraction in intermetallic compound layer was changed by heat treatment temperature. At 600oC, intermetallic compound layer of τ6 phase was mainly formed with increasing heat treatment time. With increasing heat treatment temperature to 800oC, however, τ2 phase was mainly distributed in intermetallic compound layer. τ1 phase was remarkably decreased with increasing heat treatment time and temperature.

“녹색”이라는 말이 가지는 함의는 현재 공업화 중기단계를 거치면서 고속성장을 지속하고 있는 중국 경제에 있어서 커다란 장벽인 동시에 기회이기도 하다. 지속가능한 성장이라는 키워드와 2004년부터 실시한 순환경제촉진법과 같이 중국은 국제화된 표준에 부합하는 환경정책 수립에 고심하고 있으며, 삼폐제나 삼동시 제도와 같은 국가의 명령통제형 수단 그리고 시장기제에 기반하여 오염물질 배출부과금이나 보조금 정책의 실시, 기업이 자발적으로 부담하는 오염처리시설 투자비용에 이르기까지 다양한 수위의 환경정책이 제도적으로 수립되고 있다. 본고에서는 중국의 환경정책 수단과 환경과 성장을 동시에 고려한 중국 각 지역의 녹색GDP와의 분석을 통해, 어떤 것이 유의미하고 어떤 것이 불리한지 그리고 그것이 중국 녹색물류의 정책적 발전에 어떤 시사점을 가지는지를 도출하여 중국 녹색성장에 기여하는 것을 연구목적으로 한다. For the Chinese economy, which is growing at a fast rate as it is passing through the middle of the industrialization, the implication of “Green” is a great barrier and an opportunity at the same time. So, China is putting lots of effort on setting up its environmental policy, such as the keyword of sustainable growth, circular economy promotion, etc, which has been effective since 2004, in accordance with the global standard, and the various levels of environmental policies are established. In this research, what is advantageous, what is disadvantageous, and what meaning it has on the improvement of Chinese green logistics are studied through the analysis of China's environmental policy measure and green GDP for each region of China with a consideration of environment and growth at the same time.

This paper discusses mechanical properties and shape dimensional error of SUS test pieces and scale bar by using 3D printing technology fabrication, At the experimentally obtained optimal processes conditions of layer thickness 0.1mm, scan space 0.05nm and scan speed 1000~1400mm/s. and power 50~150W. The tensile strength of test pieces is 558MPa. Therefore, the optimal process condition of the system are experimentally validated. Surface roughness is 3.9㎛ to 5.5㎛ finally, dimensional error is -38㎛ to 59㎛.

최근 콜로이드 산업에서 기능성 입자의 수요가 증가함에 따라 입자의 제조방법은 상당한 발전을 이루었다. 이러한 발전은 동적/정적 미세유체 시스템을 도입함으로써 이루어졌으며 입자의 크기, 형태, 다공성, 표면의 거칠기 또는 기능성 등 물리적, 화학적인 형상제어를 가능하게 해주었다. 이러한 형상제어를 통하여 만들어진 기능성 입자는 의료진단, 광소자, 바이오 산업으로 응용될 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 기능성 콜로이드 입자의 자가조립을 유도함으로써 규칙적인 정렬부터 불규칙적인 새로운 형태의 기능성을 갖는 물질을 얻을 수 있고, 자연계에서 일어나는 현상을 모사함으로써 본질적인 연구도 가능하게 해주었다. 그리하여 본 총설에서는 최근 각광받고 있는 기능성 콜로이드 입자의 제조방법에 대해 설명하고 이의 응용 가능성을 소개하였다. Synthetic methods of colloids have been significantly developed in industry due to their significant demand for preparation of functional particles. Recently, dynamic/static microfluidic system has emerged as a promising route to the synthesis of the particles, providing precise control of physical and chemical properties such as size, shape, porosity, surface roughness, and surface functionality. These formed particles can be potentially used in various applications including medical diagnostics, photonic device, and biological industry. In addition, these particles provide a novel route to create new materials via their directed self-assembly, and it enable to study and predict the natural phenomenon by mimicking of the nature. Therefore, we describe recent progress for functional colloid particles and its applications.
