In this paper, we propose a method for computing localized 2-dimensional Delaunay triangulation. To do so, we first get a polygon from a given vertex by points search method, namely, this polygon bounds a given vertex. Then, we consider voronoi condition at each edge of a polygon. If an edge doesn’t guarantee voronoi condition, we reconstructed polygon by adding a points inside of the voronoi circumcircle. After all, each edge of a polygon guarantees voronoi condition, and we just get mesh information from this polygon. We computed this process for all of given vertices. When we have a unique voronoi circumcircle, which has more than three vertices in circumcircle boundary, we just take special vertex for each case. This algorithm can be implemented to more efficient parallel meshing process.

Solving partial differential equations (PDEs) on a manifold setting is frequently faced problem in CAD, CAM and CAE. However, unlikely to a regular grid, solutions for those problems on a triangular mesh are not available in general, as there are no well-established intrinsic differential operators. Considering that a triangular mesh is a powerful tool for representing a highlycomplicated geometry, this problem must be tackled for improving the capabilities of many geometry processing algorithms. In this paper, we introduce mathematically well-defined differential operators on a triangular mesh setup, and show some examples of their applications. Through this, it is expected that many CAD/CAM/CAE application will be benefited, as it provides a mathematically rigorous solution for a PDE problem which was not available before.

Smart application for a novel recognition system of commercial tire was suggested. Consumers who buy their car tire through online usually make wrong order because they hardly have knowledge about interpreting tire information, which is carved on left side of tire. The suggested system only needs smart phone and provides the tire information (maker & model) from the picture taken by consumer’s phone. At first, wheel rim of tire is detected using texture-based segmentation algorithm and rectified image is acquired. After the large text area is cropped, bounding boxes which have large possibility of including text were extracted. Through HOG feature machine learning and convolutional neural network deep learning, tire information can be recognized. With suggested system, consumers can easily understand the tire information only by taking the picture.

We propose a novel approach to convert 3d mesh model into constructable brick layout. To make a 3D object with building blocks such as LEGO bricks, There are 3 restriction needed; constructability, solidity, stability. Constructabilty means building blocks in Lego layout are able to be assembled by basic rules of LEGO kits. Solidity means they are all connected to each other so that they make one solid 3d object. And stability means each block should be firmly interlocked so that the entire model has a certain level of stability. To satisfy these considerations, we employ a graphbased structural anaysis. This approach has a significance to make 3 criteria for converting 3d model to LEGO layout and satisfy them in any case.
