WTO出帆에 따른 新 國際綜合港灣物流體制 適用에 關한 硏究 <새만금港의 開發을 中心으로>

The stage of international trade will be changed from the Atlantic into the Pacific, which will be the center of international trades. Nowadays, Russia and China adopted the policy investment for economic development. Because the coast of the Korean western sea which is adjacent to china whose potentiality is main place for trade, the modernization of port facilities and equipment for large vessel is needed for large trade. Saemankum international port is known as the best one with national, social and economic condition, and the development of Saemankum port is evaluated to be econamical. Saemankum International port must is developed in association with reclamation project. The development of Saemankum International port must that will be connected with land reclamation project of Saemankum will be used for saving the cost of development and making part of reclamation area into background model of Saemankum International port is to focus on construction of international total port,free port,port for resource saving for emergency, EDI system for port physical distibution and marine resort. To support the various functions we have to hurry to develop Port-MIS for total physical distribution, make Infrastructure of developing Saemankum International port, and develope port system, and induce investment of private capital. The expected effect of development is that Saemankum International port win take the role as International total physical distribution port and resources saving port. providing for resource crisis, activate regional economy, equalize with other developed region to promote national economy and will be made into develope marine result.

Internalization and Globalization are typical phenomena of the world of this century and 21century. Borderless and endless competition among countries and companies are widely spread out in the world after the advent of WTO system. Another significant development in the world economic field is the trend toward accelerated integration of regional countries. Since the partition of the Korean peninsula. between the two parties of korea. North and South, has reached at the critical turning point in terms of its mutual economic action. The South-North Korea's linkage of maritime transportation network is considered as an importance step toward the promotion of economic cooperation. The purpose of this paper is to present on linkage of the maritime transportation network between the two parties of Korean peninsula. The South-North Korea's linkage of maritime transportation network could be summarized as follow: 1. Transportation system of economic cooperation between South Korea and North Korea. 2. Function of strategic gateway in North-East Asia 3. Hereafter, the reunification of North and south Korea, Balance of land development and transportation system
