Power-transmission Nylon pinions against steel gears fur different pitch line velocities was studied with a power circulating gear test rig under unlubricated condition by SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope). The wear characteristics of Nylon pinions varied significantly with the pitch line velocity and applied load. Wear occurred most severely at the regions including pitch circle and root circle of Nylon pinions. It is confirmed that Nylon pinions are able to be used fer power-transmission under limited conditions.

Chordomas are uncommon tumors arising from the embryonic remnants of the fetal noto-chord. The spheno-occipital region accounts for 36 percent of chordomas. The authors are presenting four cases of intracranial chordomas with clinical manifestation was analyzed. All patients were men and their mean age was 37 years old. The presenting complaints were diplopia in 2 patients and decreased visual acuity in the other two. Radiologic studies demonstrated extensive bony destruction of the skull base and soft mass with punctate calcification in all 4 cases. Treatment consisted of subtotal removal of tumor and subsequent radiotherapy). Histo-pathologically. three of the four patients had typical chordomas and the remaining case was confirmed as chondroid chordoma. The three typical chordomas recurred after initial treatment. 2 of these three were reoperated but in the 10 months and 33 months, respectively after initial diagnosis. The patient with chondroid chordoma remained well for 46 months after initial treatment without significant neurological deficits. In conclusion. therapeutic outcome of intracranial chordomas are grim because of their aggressive that frequent recurrence and inability to remove tumors completely. With the exception. chondroid chordoma has good prognosis and long term survival.

The purpose of this paper is study of Jeanne d Albret s public conversion. Jeanne d Albret publicly announced her conversion at the christmas day of 1560. It was the time when the dream of Jeanne d Albret and her husband, Antoine de Bourbon. Their dream to regain the half of Navarre through the support of France which was in 1512 deprived by Spain got frustrated by the reconciliation between France and Spain, namely, the Treaty of Cateau-Cambresis in 1559. And her husband who was the first in line to the French throne was withdrawn and his influence had been taken over by the Guise family who were the uncles of the king on the accession of Francois Ⅱ to the French throne. Additionally, the conspiracy of Amboise aiming at the Guise was planned by the protestants, but revealed in March of 1560. Antoine and his brother, prince de Conde were summoned on being involved with the conspiracy and escaped execution barely through King Francis Ⅱ s premature death. At the end, after the death of Francis Ⅱ, when Charles Ⅸ ascended the throne, he couldn t rule the nation by himself as a minor. As the first heir to the french throne, Antione had to ask to be the regent but was just satisfied with the position of the Lieutenant-General. And half-forcedly, he just gave up the position of the regent to Catherine de Medicis who was circumspect and political. In this helpless moment, Jeanne seemed to use the increasing protestants as the final method. Because she believed that she could keep her position as the ruler of Navarre and Beam by their power, against Spain and France which were the catholic nations and her enemies. Therefore, she gave up the reformation in the catholic church and publicly announced her adherence to Calvinist belief all over, which she was hesitating to do and waiting for a long time. And despite of her many risks on her property and life, she had never been frail and had been very faithful to her calvinist belief. Undergoing her hardest moments like the conflicts with her husband and the confrontation with Catherine de Medicis, she didn t give up her faith.

루이 16세의 <관용칙령>과 얀센주의 운동

In 1787, with the Edict of Toleration, Louis XVI granted the Huguenots civil status. He secured their civil right for the marriage, the birth, the funeral, the burial and the occupations. All the circumstances of Mid 18th century were sufficient to promote the Edict of Toleration. Specially, the Jansenists played its significant contribution to the Edict of Toleration. The Jansenists claimed original sin and godly inward transformation criticizing the Catholic church for its too much outwardly observable sacrament. Through revealing that the faith was the matter of the inner heart and would not be condemned by the law, they played the leading role to change the social ideas. And their objections went to the heart of the broader opposition to Unigenitus and stiffened the controversy over the matter of ‘the Roman pope’s control over the french clergy’. It secularized French society and then separated ‘citizenship’ from ‘religion’. While they were persecuted by the ‘Billet de Confession’ by the Catholic church, they claimed that the enforcement was not the good way to correct the religious error and then suggested the toleration for the Huguenots. According to these contributions of the Jansenists, the Huguenots had achieved the Edict of Toleration which secured their civil rights.(ChungNam National University) 1787년 루이 16세가 선포한 <관용칙령>은 결혼과 출생, 장례와 매장 및 직업과 관련하여 위그노들에게 시민의 권리를 보장해주었다. 이를 가능하게 했던 요인 중에 얀센주의자들의 역할이 특히 주요했다. 얀센주의자들은 경건한 내면의 변화와 그에 상응하는 성사를 주장하여, 신앙의 문제를 법적으로 통제할 수 없는 내면의 문제로 바꾸어 인식의 전환을 이루었다. 교황의 <우니게니투스> 교서에 저항하면서, ‘교황의 명령이 프랑스 시민에게 효력을 미칠 수 있는지’에 대한 논쟁을 촉발시킴으로써 종교문제와 ‘시민’의 문제를 분리시켰다. 또한 <고해증명서>에 의해 박해받으면서 ‘강요’가 ‘종교적 실수’를 바로잡는 좋은 방법이 아니라는 것을 깨닫고 위그노들에 대한 관용을 주장했다. 이러한 얀센주의자들의 노력으로 위그노들은 <관용칙령>을 통해 시민의 권리를 보장받게 되었다.

조선후기 왕릉의 肉膳 陳設과 親傳香儀 논의

During the early Joseon Dynasty, the ritual for the royal tombs was arranged with "Soseon." This was a measure taken to differentiate it from the similar Jongmyo ritual and to maintain the distinctiveness of the ritual for the royal tombs. However, on the other hand, it led to a decrease in the ritual's status, eventually being incorporated into more common folk rites. As understanding of Confucianism, especially among scholars, increased during the later years of the Joseon era, discussions arose regarding the offerings presented in the ritual for the royal tombs. In Confucian rituals, the use of meat is considered more prestigious, and the questioning of offerings in the ritual for the royal tombs stemmed from this awareness. The discussions initiated during the reign of King Hyeonjong continued until the reign of King Sukjong. However, despite the debates, practical issues such as the tradition of Soseon and increased resources led to the maintenance of Soseon. In the Joseon Dynasty, essential ingredients for state rituals were centrally provided to the locations where national rituals took place. In significant ritual locations, the king personally delivered the offerings. Initially, during the early Joseon period, the king himself delivered the offerings to the royal tombs, but with the completion of the "Manual for the Five Categories of State Rites" system, the Royal Secretary-transmitter took on this responsibility. However, during the reign of King Sukjong, with the maintenance and improvements related to the transfer of incense, the royal tomb also became a place where the king directly received the offerings during the reign of King Yeongjo. This was a means for the king to demonstrate his filial piety when unable to personally visit the royal tomb, utilizing the "the rite of transferring incense personally" alternative. Joseon made considerable efforts to realize Confucian values, but it was not a one-sided acceptance. The society embraced traditions when necessary, while also adapting them to the current realities, ultimately creating a new cultural synthesis. 조선은 건국 초 왕릉제향을 素膳으로 마련하였다. 이는 비슷한 성격의 종묘제향과 차별성을 두어 왕릉제향을 존속시키기 위한 방편이었으나 한편으로는 고려와는 달리 제사의 격이 낮아지며 俗祭로 편입하게 되었다. 그러다 조선후기 주자학의 이해가 높아지며 왕릉제사에 진설되는 찬품에 대한 논의가 일어났다. 유교식 제사에서는 고기를 쓰며 가장 원초적인 형태가 진설될수록 격이 높은 것으로 생각한다. 왕릉제향에 진설되는 찬품에 대한 문제제기는 이러한 의식에서 비롯된 것이었다. 현종 때 시작한 논의는 숙종까지 이어졌다. 그러나 논의 끝에 국초 이래로 소선을 진설했던 전통과 재원의 증가 등 현실적인 문제가 고려되며 소선이 유지되었다. 조선에서는 국가제향이 이루어지는 곳에 필요한 향을 중앙에서 전달하였으며, 중요한 제향처인 경우 국왕이 직접 향을 전달하였다. 왕릉의 경우 조선 건국 초에는 국왕이 직접 향을 전달하는 곳이었으나 『國朝五禮儀』체제가 완성된 이후 승지가 攝行하게 되었다. 그러다 숙종 때 傳香祝과 관련된 의절의 정비가 이루어지면서 변화가 있게 되었고, 영조대 이르면 왕릉 역시 국왕에게 향을 직접 전달받는 곳이 되었다. 이는 국왕이 직접 왕릉에 행행하여 친제를 하지 못하는 경우 친전향의를 활용하여 자신의 효성을 드러내는 방편으로 삼은 것이다.조선은 주자학적 가치를 실현시키기 위해 많은 노력을 했다. 하지만 일방적인 수용만 한 것이 아니다. 필요한 경우 전통을 수용하는 한편 현실에 맞는 변용을 이루며 새로운 문화를 만들어나갔다.
