The authors report 3 cases of primary intramedullary glioblastoma multiforme which is relatively rare among spinal cord tumors. They were located at the thoracolumbar, cervical and conus medullaris region respectively. Clinical, radiographic and pathological material are presented and the literature is discussed.

In the introduction, I explained some industrial problems occurred by the nature of electrical conduction and the optical nature. In the main subject, I explained forming and attribute of fermilevel of energy band made by a semi-conductor and the theory of electric conduction happened by Acceptor level of impure semi-conductor and the asymmetric electric conduction. I also wrote down that the optical effect occurred by L. Apekes, E. O. Kane, G. W. Gobeli as a part of optical operation will be constantly useful to our daily life.

Ferrite 球狀黑鉛鑄鐵의 破壞靭性에 미치는 Si의 影響에 關한 硏究

The fracture toughness (K_IC, J_IC) behavior of ferritic spheroidal graphite cast iron were studied on the effect of silicon content that in the silicon content range between 2.41 wt.% and 3.61 wt.%. The fracture toughness tests were carried out by using 15mm thick CT test pieces at the room temperature of 20℃. At experimental temperature, the specimens with silicon contents up to about 3.4 wt.% showed ductile fracture. Moreover, the J_IC and K_IC values are highest at the silicon content is about 1.8 wt.%, 3.3 Kg/mm and 2.17 Kg/mm^3/2 respectively. As Si content increase up to 3.4 wt.%, J_IC and K_IC decrease gradually. But when Si content is about 3.6 wt.% the specimen is in the fracture-toughness-transition region, where the mode of fracture becomes brittle and fracture toughness decreases greatly, and the J_IC, K_IC values decrease to 0.92 Kg/mm and 118 Kg/mm^3/2.

In this paper we will consider composite materials on a metall urgical scale. These are materials that have multiple source, which may arise 1)agglomerated materials, 2)altered the surface of the original material by changing its surface composition(e.g. carburization) or by using differential heat treatments(e.g. induction hardning), or 3)combined two distinct materials (e.g., carbon-fiber reinforced alumium composite). We shall consider each of these and their macrostures.
