The interior noise of KTX in tunnel has become an issue since the commercial operating in April 2004. The analysis of the interior noise of KTX in tunnel with concrete track shows sharply increased noise level in the range of 80Hz that is the natural frequency of the KTX carbody. We know that the booming noise inside KTX in tunnel with concrete track is generated by noise outside gangway and rolling noise at the carbody natural frequency. In this Study noise reduction methods are discussed on the basis of the comparison of the KTX and KHST noise characteristics. Alternatively, the effect of the modified mud-flap on the interior noise is introduced.
[가솔린엔진부문] 직접분사식 LPG 엔진의 연소실 형상에 따른 분무 및 연소특성

Although a LPG engine has more advantages in fuel efficiency and emission than gasoline engine, it has been less developed, and backward in technologies. So, Direct injection engine technology is applied to LPG engine, it can show the solution of ULEV emission regulation and solve the problems of conventional LPG engine.<br/> In this paper. in order to find optimal condition of LPG fuel spray and combustion, a new shape of swirl induction piston has been induced to enhance flow intensity and RCEM has been modified into RICEM(Rapid Induction, Compression and Expansion Machine) to simulate induction stroke of engine.<br/> We are able to observe the spray development and flame propagation of LPG fuel in RICEI\'1 according to various inlet valve and piston shape. It was found that the swirl induction piston shape could effectively increase the flow intensity, stability of combustion. and reduced flame propagation time.<br/>
