The nephrotic syndrome is defined by hypoproteinemia(serum albumin;below 2.5gm/이), massive protein uria(960mg/㎡/24hrs or more). In patients with nephrotic syndrome, albumin is occasionally administered in association with diuretics to relieve severe edema. However, the complication associated with albumin therapy also has been recognized. To examine the efficacy and complication of albumin and diuretic therapy, we reviewed the hospital records of 15 children(39 hospital admissions) with the diagnosis of nephrotic syndrome who were admitted to Pediatric Department of Chung Ang University Hospital from January 1st, 1989 to December 31st, 1993. The results were as follows : 1) Albumin and diuretic therapy resulted in a mean weight loss of 0.61±1.02kg(2.48±3.86% body weight) per infusion(p=0.0001). 2) Heart rate and respiratory rate did not change significantly during albumin and diuretic therapy in nephrotic patient(preinfusion 95.41±16.18beats per minute vs postinfusion 95.34±15.55beats per minute, p=0.8574 ; preinfusion 24.34±3.30breaths per minute vs postinfusion 23.72±2.65breaths per minute, p=0.1053). 3) Serum albumin, serum BUN, serum Creatinine and serum sodium did not change significantly during albumin and diuretic therapy in nephrotic patient(preinfusion 1.64±0.55g/dl vs postinfusion 1.86±0.59g/dl, p=0.0876 ; preinfusion 17.74±12.90mg/이 vs postinfusion 15.52±8.88mg/dl, p=0.3963 ; preinfusion 0.74±0.28mg/dl vs postinfusion 0.65±0.28mg/dl, p=0.2452 ; preinfusion 134.79±3.69 vs postinfusion 134.87±4.53, p=0.9249). In summary, albumin and diuretic therapy in the treatment of edema in children with the nephrotic syndrome results in acute diuresis and fluid removal. Although we did not find the significant complication of this therapy, the beneficial effect which facilitate weight loss and fluid removal has to be balanced against potential complications.
Spring-Mass 모델을 이용한 차대차 정면충돌 모델링

The objective of this study was to construct the spring-mass models for the car-to-car frontal impact crash. The SISAME software was utilized to extract the spring-mass models using the data from US-NCAP frontal crash tests. The spring-mass models of a compact car and a midsize car could effectively approximate the crash characteristics for the full frontal barrier impact and the car-to-car frontal impact scenarios. Compared to the barrier crash tests, the dummy injuries of midsize car decreased, while the dummy injuries of compact car increased, under the frontal car-to-car crash circumstances.
EuroSID-1에서 EuroSID-2로의 인체모형 변경이 KNCAP 측면충돌안전성 평가에 미치는 영향 연구

In order to provide consumers with safety informations of vehicles according to the Korean New Car Assessment Program(KNCAP), the evaluation results and the star ratings of 21 vehicles for the side impact tests have been reported since 2003. Now, the KNCAP considers changing the side impact dummy from EuroSID-1 to EuroSID-2 near future. The rib deflection of EuroSID-2 is 20-30% higher than that of EuroSID-1 because of the removal of "Flat Tops" effect. In this study, the effect of changing the side impact dummy from EuroSID-1 to EuroSID-2 in the KNCAP side impact evaluation is estimated through the previous KNCAP evaluation results. The results show that the decrease of the star ratings would be one star($\bigstar$) approximately.
ROOF CRUSH SIMULATION USING NONLINEAR BEAM ELEBENTS OF THE CENERAL SECTION GEOMETRY

The example of the DAEWOO passenger car demonstrates the use of nonlinear beam elements having the general section geometries in the case of roof crush simulations. As well known, the section properties of typical members play the key role during the early design phase. Bending moment resistance of the plastic deformation as well as torsional resistance need to be calculated or tested for every typical section when the section geometry is complex in the real world.<br/> In addition to this nonlinear general beam elements, nonlinear spring elements for each joint area give the simulation good correlation between the analysis and test result.

대형 소프트웨어를 개발할 때 시스템 요구를 정의하기가 매우 어려우나, 시스템 요구에는 공학적 특성이 적어 시스템 요구 작성을 지원하는 도구를 찾아보기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 시스템 요구에 대한 데이타베이스를 관리하여 요구 정보의 검색 및 변경, 입력이 용이하도록 하고 변경되는 요구에 대한 형상관리 기능을 제공하는 자동화 도구를 소개한다. 그리고 요구 데이타베이스 설계시 기능 요소를 포함하여 소프트웨어 요구로의 확장이 가능함을 보이며, 요구에 대한 다양한 양식의 보고서 생성기능을 제공하여 사용자와 개발자의 요구 검증이 용이함을 보인다.
