The introduction of coastal vessel traffic services enables vessels in coastal waters to navigate in safety or to get her position with ease and prevents the vessel from becoming cause of casualties. But it needs relatively huge amount of cost to construct and operate and maintain. Thus we must be checked with economical adequacy of the the proposed coastal vessel traffic services by comparing the cost of the construction, operation and maintenance with the expected benefit made by the expected decrease in marine casualties. In previous paper, a proper cost-benefit analysis model for the Korean practice will be suggested. In this Paper, the proposed the cost-benefit analysis model of coastal vessel traffic services was applied to the Koje coastal waters 20mi1es from the top of Maemul-Do and Yokchi-Do. As the result, we confirmed the propriety of the cost-benefit analysis with the application of the proposed model to Koje waters. Also, it is verified that the introduction of coastal vessel traffic services, as proposed, is adequate and economical. The cost-benefit analysis model proposed in this study could be used to investigate the economic Propriety of new aids to navigation and traffic safety facilities in the future.
UGT2B7 유전형이 발프로익산(Valproate)의 약동학에 미치는 영향

UDP-glucuronosyl transferases (UGT) mediate a conjugation reaction by glucuronidation of various clinically important drugs. The functional significance of genetic polymorphisms in these UGTs are main concern of the current researchers of UGTs. Valproate (valproic acid) is an antiepileptic drug glucuronidated mainly by UGT2B7. We investigated the effect of genetic polymorphism on pharmacokinetics of valproate in healthy normal volunteers. Before the clinical study, we screened genotype of UGT2B7-T801A (T:*1, A:*2). Twenty three healthy subjects were enrolled and grouped with regard to the UGT2B7 genotype. The pharmacokinetic profile of valproate was characterized after valproate administration (600 mg once daily for 5 days). The plasma concentrations of valproate were analyzed before and 1, 1.25, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 5, 7, 9, 13, 25, 49 hours after 5th valproate administration by TDX with FPIA method. Although the pharmacokinetic profiles of valproate did not showed significant differences between the UGT2B7 genotype groups, a trend of decrease of clearance as increase of UGT2B7*2 allele was observed. Oral clearance of valproate in the UGT2B7*2/*2 group was 66% of that of the UGT2B7*1/*1 group. The results suggest that the UGT2B7*2/*2 genotype group possibly has a decreased clearance of valproate. Further study may be required to clarify the results.

The optical CT was developed to use twisted fibers for 170 kV GIS. The fiber sensor optimized on the optical CT was wound 3 turns and twisted 4 times per a turn at the pipe with a diameter of 130 mm. The measurement error for the linearity which was satisfied the criterion of 'IEC Class-1.0' was less than ± 0.44 % at the transmission type and ± 0.82 % at the reflection type to 2,000 A. At a low current to 200 A, the measurement error was ± 0.69% at the transmission type and ± 1.38 % at the reflection type.
Obtaining Maximal Stability with a Septal Extension Technique in East Asian Rhinoplasty

Recently, in Korea, the septal extension graft from the septum or rib has become a common method of correcting a small or short nose. The success rate of this method has led to the blind faith that it provides superior tip projection and definition, and to the failure to notice its weaknesses. Even if there is a sufficient amount of cartilage, improper separation or fixation might waste the cartilage, resulting in an inefficient operation. Appropriate resection and effective fixation are essential factors for economical rhinoplasty. The septal extension graft is a remarkable procedure since it can control the nasal tip bidirectionally and three dimensionally. Nevertheless, it has a serious drawback since resection is responsible for septal weakness. Safe resection and firm reconstruction of the framework should be carried out. Operating on the basis of the principle of “safe harvest” and rebuilding the structures is important. Further, it is important to learn several techniques to manage septal weakness, insufficient cartilage quantity, and failure of the rigid frame during the surgery.
