The purpose of this study was to analyze the working time and the efficiency according to plot shape and plat size under the same conditions. We chose two stands which were relatively gently sloped end evenly distributed in number of trees and surveyed 198 plots, and 306 plots in each stand. 1. As to the time advantage of plot establishment method, the direct-four line establishment method was more favorable than the diagonal-line establishment method in a rectangular plot. 2. The method by Blumeleiss-Meβ trommel was more favorable than the method using a tape in a circular plot. 3. As to the time advantage, the circular plot was more favorable than the rectangular plot. Especially, the circular plot was twice more available than rectangular plot in small plot size, but enlargement of plot size gradually decreased time advantage of circular plot.

최근 금강소나무림의 경제적, 역사·문화적, 자원적 가치가 재인식되면서 이의 보호와 육성을 위한 대책마련이 시급한 것으로 지적되어지고 특별법 제정이 건의된 바 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 금강소나무림 보호와 육성을 위한 특별법의 법당위성과 입법방향을 제시하는데 있다. 입법방향은 산림정책의 새로운 패러다임, 즉, 고부가가치임업의 실행과 산림의 문화 자산으로서의 가치증대, 중점의 원칙 적용 및 자율과 지원행정이라는 개념으로 접근하였다. Recently, Pinus densiflora for. Erecta Forest was reacknowledged for there economical, historical, cultural and resources values. The object of this article is to suggest legislation for protecting and improvement these pine tree stands which are endangered. The direction of this legislation should promote changes in our particular paradime with the goal of high quality forestry, inclusion of historical and cultural values and change in principle of concentration per project. I gave the frame work of the legislation for protection and improvement of pinus stands. This legistation and concentrated investment will change the attitude of Korean people toward economical forestry. Forestry is a basic part of the economic and environmental infrastructure and investment in forestry can promote balanced development throughout the country. For the optimal use of multi-functional forest resources, the forest management planning must be made through the systematic and rational decision-making process. For that it is essential to timely compile and efficiently manage the massive information of forest resources. But procedures of forest management planning for private forest are not yet computerized and performed by conventional method in Korea. This makes forest management planner spending much time and cost on desk for calculating growth factors from stand inventory data and preparing several reports related forest management plan. The conventional forest planning works without computer-aided system make it also difficult to efficiently manage and integrate massive forest information in planning processes. In this study, a computer aided planning system, named Forest Management Planning System(FMP1.0), for private forest was developed with Delphi program language. FMP1.0 that runs in WIN95 operation system is an integrated computer system, in which all procedures of forest management planning for private forest, such as data or information management, preparation of several reports can be interactively performed. FMP1.0 can help the forest management planner spend less time on desk and have more time in field for accurate forest survey. FMP1.0 can make it possible, for public servants being charged of official works of private forest management, to efficiently manage massive data and information for the forests in his region.

수간석해와 (樹幹析解) 생장량 계산을 위한 전산프로그램 개발에 관한 연구

In this study the stem analysis program, which can be operated with personal computer was developed to reduce time and cost of calculation, and to increase accuracy of analysis. The stem analysis method used in this program was compared with other methods. The results obtained were as follows : The value, 1/100mm measured from the latest annual ring measurement machine (Jahrringmeβgeraete Johan Type II) was automatically inputed to the computer and saved into given file name. Turbo Pascal program was written to do this. The measured data was analyzed by stem analysis calculation program written by Fortran-77. Volume and height increments were approximated by spline function, and diameter of the stem disk was calculated by quadratic mean method. The increment values calculated by the programs were printed annually and in every five-year. Stem analysis diagram and several increment graphs were also easily printed. The result compared between those analysis methods showed that quadratic mean could reduce the error caused from eccentric pith. When the stem taper curve method, approximated by spline function, was used in the calculation of tree height and volume, increments would be more exactly calculated.
