Electrical conductivity, I-V, temperature-capacitance and DLTS have been measured on polycrystalline samples of α-Fe₂O₃ with small deviations from stoichiometry containing small amounts of added titanium. These measurements were made in the course of an investigation of the conduction mechanism in oxides whose canons have a partially filled d-level. DLTS (Deep level transient spectroscopy) in the current transient made has been applied to the measurement of the trap density at the grain boundary. The Schottky barrier at the grain boundary was found to be the main electrical properties directing the conduction mechanism in NTC thermistor of α-Fe₂O₃ containing N-type impurity.
