Using the radioisotopes as tracers, platium and palladium were analyzed quantitatively by the substoichiometric solvent extraction method. By extracting platium and palladium in Hydrochloric acid into carbon tetrachloride as metal-Dithizonate chelating complex with Dithizone of substoichiometric amounts, optimum extraction conditions-hydrogen ion concentration range, extraction time, substoichiometric reproducibility of extraction and the interference effects of anions and cations-were investigated. And extraction mechanism was elucidated by taking advantage of substoichiometric principles and the experimental results. But platium and palladium could not be seperated mutually because of the similarities of extraction conditions.
