In this paper, machinability of ADI(austempered ductile cast iron) material is investigated by deep drilling expement. The results obtained are as follows: Flank wear increases logarithmically with the increases of cutting time. Ralation of flank wear and cutting force can be applied to F_th = 925VB+820 for the cutting suggested condition. From the view point of tool wear, the conditions of low cutting speed/high feed rate is better than that fo high cutting speed/low feed rate. Comparing with GCD600 and ADI material, tool wear of ADI material drilled tool is larger. It is suggested that the effective lubrication of graphic can result in less adhesive wear when drilling GCD600 material.

This study was carried out to investigate the analysis of dynamic components in hole drilling. Materials used were carbon steel(SM45C), brass(BsBM) and cast iron(FC20), and the drills used were 4 kinds of HSS drill. The main purpose was focused on analysing the dynamic components at the starting point and end point drilling, and the reaction/anti-reaction forces at the end point.
